The updates take so long. that when you gonna play you already forgot the plot, but this is pretty shit

save compatibility is one of the poll options that they update based on, its tied to Erik/his moms story. whenever that wins a poll, they'll fix the save stuff.

I share many of the complaints of people about the game, but I think that if you are not patreon you do not have to complain about a game that you get for free. Let those who support the development complain about that.

Oh yeah, seems they provided a save right before the new content this time around at least. I completely glanced over it when I read the Patreon post.

yup I wasn't counting patches like this 18.2 thing I do get it tho people are impatient and just hate slow updates buuuut man gotta make it work. if its buggy as all hell then I d rather just wait for every version from 16.5 to 17.5 or 18.0 to 19.0 its very annoying to see people freak out over this... either go rub or tug one out in some butter filled outhouse or just watch a fuck faced fat midge on youporn or something... throw a midget on a short pony D
yet he tells you? get your bum ass complaints outta here! he said this problem would be fixed when its able to be fixed and that would be when its done or almost complete. if you read the descriptions don't complain you know what you are getting into just like everybody else.
See that is the problem. Something so fundamental to the replayability of the game like save compatibility should never be a poll option. That should be done by the developers regardless of patron vote, especially because poll voting is tiered. I was a $1 supporter for a very long time, because that was what I was willing to pay, and honestly for awhile all I could afford. I never once got to vote in any of the polls. So, my point is that when I hear people say that if save compatibility was so important to supporters, they would have voted on it in the polls, that is not really the whole truth. Because, you have what I would imagine is a good chunk of his supporters not being able to vote. I know it's tied to Erik/his mom's story, but I have a hard time believing his supporters would be that pissed off if he just said you know what guys, to clean up the code on this game and also implement save compatibility for future versions, we are going ahead and working on Erik/his mom's story. Polls will resume as normal once this update is done. If anybody gets pissed at that, then they don't give a shit for what's best for the game and its foundations, but just what satisfies them. And yes, I am being facetious, because I know this is the case.

To be fair, you only have to start again "when it makes sense", else - like this time - they'll provide a fitting save game.
between the save compatibility and etc it would be nice to see it be solved but im guessing with how he has it setup the team would all have to be connecting with eachother and giving out what they are doing so the game will be able to save compatible for every new update they make... which would also put strains on how they need to recode and put things together for the old saves to work this would have a mild annoyance which we see on how people will play so he gives a save that is at the point where you will start the new content. yes its bullshit but he might be working on a solution for this as well since it would be better for all the saves we have to be able to work... the fix might be worth us keeping old saves from every end or start of each update since this fix would come out when its either finished or near complete as I hear that was a option for the saves.
Now let the bug post comment begin! Im sure there will be hot fixes in the coming hours or days. Also is there an unofficial android ver?
With as much content as this game has, not everyone has the time to start over everytime. To DC and team's credit, at least they have been providing save files that has all the other content, except for the new stuff done. But, that still doesn't take away the fact that save compatibility should not be based on a biased (i.e.-those who can pay $5 or more a month) poll.
