Man....I like Eve's current design, don't get me wrong, but sometime I'd like to play a porn game where every girl isn't glammed up to the Max. The original, less-curvy, slightly more frumpy Eve is actually quite cute.

1 year? The tech-update has been under development for two and a half years and will apparently be completed in three years.
Checking content related details wouldn't have been a project manager's job anyway. A team of effectively 3-4 people (everbody but DC working part time) developing a renpy porn game really doesn't need a project manager, you may aswell just hire a competent coder - who knows what he's doing - instead. That's what people should be complaining about in hindsight. Back then, the updates were primarily limited by DC's abilitly to produce art, so it didn't really matter that much. Then again, Dogeek left right after the Eve update, so I guess they caught on after these 3 updates that he wasn't able to handle the new project properly, which then lead to him complaing about stress, etc.
You don't necessarily need someone who's job is project manager but you always need someone who's job is to project manage. And this is what happens when that doesn't happen.

Because with 2d games every single thing from the most simple in game item to an animated sex scene has to be hand drawn
In almost two months, it's gone up by 1%... granted, there was also 1 additional task. I'd say we won't see this game for at least another year.
Competent programmers who know what they're doing are a much, much harder find than project managers, though. Especially for a work on a porn game.
What would your average project manger do in this case? Monitor the schedule and dealines, which do not exist, because DC wants it that way? Report to superiors? Manage the money? Develope ideas? Define the scope of an update?
Make up for the shortcomings of your incompetent programmer, the reason you're hiring them in the first place? Something DC is evidently incapable of doing.
As soon as you go into specifics, you'll need somebody who is competent in coding and project management. That's clearly not your average project manager. As said, you may aswell hire a second/better coder in this case...
If that's a good thing or not will likely depend on what DC is working behind the scenes right now. They could have continued releasing scenes, but by now it's probably better to create content that's benefitting future updates. Sadly we'll only be able to judge once the tech update and the following one(s) have been released.
The sad thing is that the tech update will most likely not be finished this year. It feels like the progress has been stuck at 82% for months now.
