gotcha sir, thank you for your response, actually this is the second time you help me in this thread
Where do you think the word "Patreon" derives from? Patron. It's an endorsement. Historically when you are an artists 'patron' it means you fund them with the hope that that investment turns into something good but it isn't an expectation. Patrons stop funding if they don't get what they want out of that investment. You are the master of embarrassment, aren't you? I had to laugh when I read your post.
What exactly do you say in the first paragraph? I misquoted you? I misunderstood you and DC's " The more pledges, the more time he can spend adding content to the game " ? And I'm just imagining things?
Then in the second you say... that you were wrong and it's written there but I'm still misinterpreting it because he actually means something completely different.... lol i have no words for such stupidity..
You know, if you weren't so absurdly embarrassing, I would try to deal with your statement somehow, but you disqualify yourself with this bullshit that is obvious to everyone, even without my involvementThe only thing you have currently proven is that you have mental problems and are out of touch with reality.
The problem is you don't understand the meaning of being a patron.A patron of the arts helps support starving artists — financially, not with food rations.
I think it's great that you have the gift of philosophical interpretation and an interest in history. But historically, the word patron comes from the Latin patronus. In ancient Rome, a patronus was someone who provided support and protection for a client, usually in return for loyalty and services. In an artistic context, patronage became particularly important during the Renaissance. This is why Italy is full of art and sculptures...if everyone had been as “industrious” as DC ... Florence would look like a collection of empty underground garages.Where do you think the word "Patreon" derives from? Patron. It's an endorsement. Ahh yes, the philosophy of a words definition. Right. Brilliant analysis. You can cut out the meaningless etymology. That is irrelevant to anything here and a poor attempt to make yourself look smart.I think it's great that you have the gift of philosophical interpretation and an interest in history. But we live in 2024, I'm not DeMedici and DC is certainly no Leonardo DaVinci. I mainly support projects on Patreon, but I don't fund permanent vacations. And you can expect your “patron” to kick you in the butt if you just lie around lazily and don't keep your promises. Perhaps you will at least recognize in my criticism the tendency to maintain this tradition.
To summarize: A patron is someone who subscribes and/or makes a purchase on Patreon, which may come with special benefits from creators they love. Through a subscription or offering on Patreon, patrons may receive benefits and directly interact with creators using tools supplied by us, and, through Patreon, have the opportunity to engage with a community of patrons and creators.
thanks! deleted that rpyc file and the atm works now without any crashesThe traceback says you have "patch_tech_update.rpy" as the patch, not the patch from 20.12 found here.
If you are playing v0.20.16, using the naughty mod for v0.20.16 and the patch labeled v0.20.12 - then,
Remove both the mod and the patch and try the ATM again. If it crashes, I recommend going to the developer's discord and asking in their help channel (if there is one).
If it doesn't crash, first add back the patch and try the ATM again. If it crashes, don't use the patch anymore.
Then add back in the mod and try the ATM again. If it crashes, go into the thread for the naughty mod and seek help from the mod's developer.
If it doesn't crash, hey, keep playing.
you haven't mentioned DC redrawing the whole thing while being halfway finished on the progressThis is the most likely scenario of what will happen.
If you like big tits, wincest, and pregnancy, this game still knocks it out of the park. If you like futa, there's just one character who's really just a dick girl if you want her to be. That's about it for the fetishes. The "monster" girls aren't that unusual, but they are attractive.
I mean it's still common sense that you're funding the creator's creations with your donations in one way or another. The Patreon pledge goals pretty much confirm that your pledge isn't a mere donation but a means of production. And the tier benefits you get are often geared towards future content.I don't think it could be more clear: Donations get you access to certain perks, and that's it. There's no promise of delivery, you're not funding a development pipeline, nothing. Kickstarter? Yes. Patreon? No.
I've never donated to a creator on Patreon, but I've never thought of the platform as funding a budget or anything like that. It's more just "Oh, you make good stuff. Here are a few dollars for your toil, much appreciated." I wouldn't expect anything in return. Just the opposite - I'd only consider donating after I saw the goods, as it were.
Neither have I, my thrust has been that people do need to keep in perspective the process of pledges when considering the structure and context of the criticism. But at the same time I never subscribed to the idea that DC's business being on Patreon makes him exempt from all criticism because it runs on donations so no-one is allowed to have any expectations or standards.
No, but that is the risk THEY are taking and theirs, alone. It is not ours to take on in our criticism of the work. And if a patron decides their pledge enables their need to say something, that is what their subscribers channel on the discord and patreon is for -- their pledge-supported benefit empowers them with direct access to the eyes and ears of the dev team. Here, DC has rarely communicated and this is not his platform for communication and on here no one truly knows if the person criticizing is doing so from their patron-position.You're not gonna tell me that the majority of people don't donate to support continued development of the game and would be completely fine if DC randomly announced the end of development.
Screw you, it's 4200!!!!! A triple magnitude greater than the answer to life, universe, and everything. (at 20/page)GGs! we have reached (if you do 60 per page) 1400 PAGES! lets go!![]()
