I mean if you only count sex scenes I guess you could call them small. But I think most people haven't realized yet, that it's only a four man team working on the game and unlike most games on this forum, he isn't using assets from other games. All you see on the screen when you play it, is created by them. Every item, background, sex scene and minigame is handdrawn. All of that takes a lot of time.

Remember, there can't be incest in the game, so if they are sisters there can't be a sex scene with the two of them at the same time.

why would he speed up and finish the game when he recieves money for being slow? people keep donating to devs who are slow on purpose, if he finished the game tomorrow nobody would be donating him anymore

We're on the internet, people always find reasons to whine.

If DarkCookie released bi-weekly updates containing 20 new scenes each you'd still get people crying about stuff like:
"how come my favourite character only got 5 new scenes and a character I don't care about got 6? with the amount of money he makes he should be able to make 10 new scenes for every character!!111"

No idea about the incest patch on android, but the black bars can't be changed, given that the game is drawn in 4:3. You'll have to live with them, for now.

In the end it's indeed always good to differentiate between criticism that is legitimate and criticism that isn't. Sure, people will always complain about everything, but it's not like there isn't stuff which could/should/must be improved. And indeed, DC kind of messed up that poll by not making clear at first that it wouldn't happen right away.

And in general, DC is saying for more than a year now, that he'd like to release more updates a year, yet it doesn't seem like we'll "ever" get more than 4 at best. Maybe they'll learn from the main story split and do the same with other updates, as long as it's feasible and as long as the savegame situation allows it.

Outside of this game, how do you expect posing and coding to do anything if the art isn't done ? You mean a dude can take non-existant art assets (body/face/expressions/etc), use them to make up the girl's "doll" (for lack of better term), put them in no background and make up the whole scene out of thin air ? Then dump all that void and emptyness on the coder to write lines inside the engine to go fetch and display that entire nothingness ? Not mentionning Renpy's tendency to just crap itself if you typo a CG and/or codeline, you now expect it to survive calling up stuff that don't exists ?

These ever repeating discussions about art/coding/posing are indeed completely futile by now. It was fine to discuss these things when he started the redesigns and these long updates in 2018 and of course it's fine to have an opinion about them. But now it's mid 2020 and it's very resonable to assume that those who still support him after these 2 years agree with his way of doing things and have adjusted their pledge accordingly, while those who don't agree should have left by now. It takes a few clicks and 5 seconds to adjust or cancel a pledge and if people can't do that they really can't complain about their money.

So @roger545353535353 it's indeed not like with ICSTOR and MilfCity. ICSTOR promised a lot repeatedly, made excuses and in the end delivered nothing, while DC basically delivers what he says he will. That's a massive difference. If someone say he will produce X and delivers X when he says he would, it's neither a scam nor milking.

In the end few people seem to appreciate certain things DC does which take a lot of time and which most other 2D games simply don't do. Stuff like characters undressing in certain situations, characters actually holding items in their hands, proper cutscenes, quality backgrounds, pregnancy for every girl in each update, etc. - all of that takes quite a bit of time and effort, while those who just skip through probably won't even really notice it and thus completely missjudge the actual content of any given update.

And of course, being butthurt for one reason or the other is certainly part of it. I mean, there are quite a few people around here who, for years now, do nothing else but pop by every few months to write that DC is milking.

Well, Maria has a pregnant sex scene and I'm sure we'll see (some) more pregnant sex once the game progresses. I'd agree in principle that he probably should have limited pregnancies to a few girls to elborate these properly, includnig more story and a few scences each, but perspectively it's not as bad as you say.

I'd say the problem with pure lesbian sex is indeed, that it seems rather unpopular to have actual scenes which don't involve MC, unlike the scenes with Eve for example. It's essentailly not what the game is about and that's why we only see cutscenes which are way less work. I'd personally like to see real lesbian scenes, too, but I can understand why they aren't there. In the end scenes take the most time to create and that's why DC basically has to make them count, given that there are too few anyway.
