Excellent game so far.
The story is interesting and the visuals are unique and good looking.

There are a variety of different girls, personality and look wise, so everyone should be covered.

The writing, like previous mrdots games, is excellent too.

Music also exists, but is not used as a mood setter (aka not adapted to the story).

Finally a good 'down to earth' game which doesnt try to cover every possible genre in existence and cater to all fanbases(yeah i look at you 70% of new games).

Absolutely amazing game so far, great renders, great story, great characters, returning charcters, and all around amazing game so far, I've played all of mr.dots games and they have all been great, but this easily tops all his game so far, I really can't wait for the next update.

It’s a decent start but with a lot of drawbacks. The characters are too bland and generic. There is incest but it’s not impactful, it’s glanced over. If you’ll include that in the game then it should be a big deal. Otherwise why include it at all when a childhood friend can serve the same purpose.

It's "all right", I guess.

Really it's just average ( so far), when you look past the excellent ( though probably not at this point, not that impressive) visual quality.

Like with all Mr. Dots games characters, dialogue ( especially MC) is just sterile and bland. "Haha, that's really funny" - MC tells a "joke" ...and you kind of think to yourself what was really funny about it. It lacks spontaneity, passion, sense of genuine human interaction, also better facial expressions...anything that brings out emotional response.

Kind of feels I've been "spoiled" by much more interesting and better written VNs, even from new creators ( Connected, Rebirth, etc).

Damn this is something else. Great introduction so far. I really love the story and background. It's not some boring story that you've seen a thousand tomes. Renders are absolutly amazing. Great work, would recommend to give this a try it's very good Can't wait for further updates!

Excellent start. The models are beautiful, and the story is great so far. I enjoy the build up to relationships that are done here. I haven't noticed any problems this far. I look forward to how this story plays out. Lots of interesting characters, and lots of potential paths to check out. Keep up the great work

I didn't expect that much going into this game, but honestly I was pleasantly suprised. The first version is quite long too and there's a good amount of content.

I enjoyed the fact that there are several type of girls in here, so not just the small ones. The sis is my absolute favourite.

Still, you can definitely see this is a Mrdots game. WIth barbie doll faces and facial expressions that don't seem to change much at all, like you're looking at robots. Perhaps this is the uncanny valley thing...

Will leave my review at 4/5 for now, but this could change in the future, for better or for worse. For now, I do recommend to give this game a try.

edit: came back and changed my review to 5/5. I dont think it's fair to be this critical about a 0.1 release. Will for sure come back to review later versions.

I was speechless, I mean wow! For something so new, this version already satisfies. The length of the game play on this version is longer than some games that came out 5 years ago. The story, amazing! Although this are adult games, I for one still look for substance, and this didn't disappoint. Renders and character designs are fresh, stunning, jaw dropping beautiful. I have absolutely zero thing to complain about this game right now. I do wish Melody and a few other characters drop-by.

Mr. Dots, I loved Melody and am sure am gonna love this till the end too. Thank you.

PROS
+1 Star - Some renders are nice but some are so bright where I can't see a single damn shadow.
+1 Star - Nice Framerate of Animation.
+1 Star - Outstand user interface.
+1 Star - Large Content.
+1 Star - Character Development was nicely down.

Neutral:
• It has incest content but unfortunately, step shit. On the bright side, you won't get a negative star from me.
• I did not enjoy the story at all but I won't give you a negative star because I understand that you are not a professional writer.

CONS: This can be fixed.
-1 Star - I know you have a powerful PC but at least put some effort into the pose of your character, they look stiff and generic especially the Dad scene not to mention the expression is awful.
-1 Star - I'm so happy that the game has music but unfortunately, I end up getting disappointed because most of the music does not fit the scene at all in which forced me to turn off the music.
-1 Star - Fake choices, none of these choices affect the storyline I already tried negative points path and max positive points path, both end up in the same path. This is a kinetic novel.
Overall: -3 Stars
5 Stars - 3 Stars = 2 Stars

[based on one playthrough of the first release]

This looks to become yet another hit for MrDots. The game is solid for a first release. It has a lot of content already, not too much naughtiness yet, but we need to have anticipation for the next year or so, so we need to take it slow.

Pros:
-Really good renders, most girls are gorgeous and MC is well done too. I especially love the skins.
-Sex content is well made, pretty realistic (no insane DMD dick, thank you)
-Great locations and backgrounds
-Engaging story with enough depth to draw you in
-Great tie-ins with other games and popular culture

Cons:
- Way too many big boobs (and butts) for my taste (thank god for our dearest cousin )
-Ashley looks way too young to be a mom of a daughter this age
-Character scaling, this was an issue in Melody, and is not good here either, look at the MC sitting on the bed for example.

Story is really good , i went thru this whole version1 and thought wow , just wow ..
don't quite understand why you used characters from your other games , but hey it all worked out in the story anyways so nice job on that .
but you putting my arch enemy in this game also ... grrrr ... i want Lucas DEAD !!! i guess that shows how good you make games to get to people like that .. urrgghhh time to make the doughnuts ... or in this case find them still makes me wonder why some Dev.'s do that .. but hey what the hell do i know ... it works ...

Dreadful.
Bad story with not much sense, with a lot of "why on earth would they do that?" Blank and unlikeable MC and most of other characters as well.
Forced sexual content. Big, big minus.
Arts are not great either. Faces are somehow...weird and people looks like they're made of plastic. It is unpleasant.
Deleted and ignored.

This is a very strong 0.0.1 entry, which deserves our support (I am a Patreon supporter and you should be, too) -- but it has certain imperfections that are worth noting.

1. The artwork, particularly the facial features, does not vary enough between characters. To some extent this makes sense when the characters are close family members -- but it's enough to break immersion, which is a problem. As others have noted, these features are also shared with characters in the Dev's earlier (very good) games, as well.
2. There is not enough erotic tension. The Dev is good at setting up narrative conflicts -- he does in his earlier games, too -- but these need to be better melded with the sexual content. My hope is that he will get there eventually: the mother-daughter antagonism could be helpful to that end.
3. The sex scenes have a 'mechanical' aspect. The animations and other depictions of sex are good, but they don't feel particularly visceral or passionate (another problem with the Dev's earlier games).
4. The dialogue could be pared down. I like the Dev's writing and the story. But there's too much dialogue. If you lost half the text, the overall experience would improve for the player/reader.

You should play this game and support the hard-working and thoughtful team behind hit. There are many, many things to like about _Sunshine Love_: for example, they know how to create a 'slow burn' story that has sex scenes early in the game. It involves simple narrative devices, but so many others get this badly wrong (as in _A Wife and Mother_, which otherwise has many strengths).

My hope is that the Dev treats these notes as constructive criticism, rather than an indication that I think this is a bad game. That's not true: it's a good piece of work that could be superb wtih some marginal tweaks.

Great game. A lot of content. I'm sure it's gonna be a hit of 2020.

+ Interesting story. Well-made, realistic characters with depth (kind of - at least in comparison to other games)

- There's a few 'logic errors' in the prologue.

- It's a shame MC is a boring asshole, just like in previous games (your typical hentai game style male hero)... I mean he is not that bad, I can tolerate him, but in the end, his [Mr Dots] every game protagonist have the same problem as Fallout 4 protagonist - too much of a 'forced personality'. I simply don't agree with MC's point of view - but at least he is not a teenage pervert (thank you Lord!)

- Take a look at all three [Mr Dots] games and thier female cast. Take a look at their faces and breasts. What do you see? Yes! All female models look very alike (like they were part of the same family or something). It's like playing same game all over again.

Here my first impressions :

First I want to say that I played previous MrDots game and :
- I liked Melody
- I didn't really like DMD which I found very boring

Hopefully here, it is closer to Melody than it is to DMD, meaning an interesting and believable piece of life story. It is maybe, maybe, maybe even more interesting than Melody imo.
The graphisms and renders have improved from his previous game.
The animations have stepped up
I like the girls much more than the DMD ones. And the girls seems to be kind of tricky, their personality are far from perfect dream girl, they are realistic and complicated.

To sum up a very good start with a solid first release, we can recognize the MrDots style but with some improvements, and the story ( at least to me) makes much more sense than the DMD one.

It’s a great game by an experienced dev.

Pros:

• Renders are top of the line (as good as it gets).
• Animation is excellent
• Excellent writing.
• The girls are all stunning.
• Plenty of romantic options, enough to suit any taste.
• Quite a bit of lewd content including a couple of sex scenes, even though it’s only a first release.
• The addition of a replay gallery

Cons:

• None whatsoever

As far as first releases go, it doesn’t get any better than this in terms of amount of content, quality, lewdness and potential.

Some people have complained that the models look similar to his other games, which I agree. However, I don’t see that as a problem at all, the girls in those games are stunning. Obviously, the dev has a particular style and personally I like it.

I really look forward to seeing how this game evolves, although I wonder how this game will proceed pace wise. Keep up the good work dev

Since this is just the beginning, I don't have enough info to write a proper review but from what i could gather:

After playing the game for a a little while, it got worse, the MC still a insufferable spineless bitch

- Bad Setup: A guy trying to have 'fun' and make up for his time lost studding (in his own words), while also putting his relationship an a "break"? not appealing, really... Also, they really had to lost contact for so long? Now he is in a relationship kinda, and the sister is also dating kinda, pretty unfavorable scenario for building a relationship, of course everything is gonna work out well for the MC at the end (still MrDots after all), but being a Knight in Shining Armor (in this case also reads Mr. Steal Yo Girl) while still supposedly having other girl (without any choice in that matter) is REALLY not my thing.
- Incest: Pretty useless, the sister could easy be replaced by a "generic" childhood friend, cousin fits the same category, "being related" here is just an adicional flavor, not the main plate... And there just ONE half-sister? why a half sister? no mother? incest is pretty "useless" in this scenario.
- Weak Personalities: The characters are just... TOO BASIC, nice, but basic... I know its pretty unfair to judge by just 1 chapter but that was the impression I've had, probably hopefully some deep will be added in the future).
- Weak Personality (MC): Again, this could change... but the MC will have to grow some balls urgently, for example, he isn't slightly pissed at Ashley for prohibited the contact with the sister... He is so bland and basic that we can classify as Ph 14.

Overhaul: Disappointed
But I liked, I know, kind of bipolar (like the some relationships in the game ), the game have a lot of room to grown, this is just MY initial opinion, and that's something I'm probably gonna change a couple of updates later.
