I'm on a reviewing spree all of a sudden!
Super Monsters'N Girls
What a silly name, its a reference to Ghosts 'n Goblins of course, but still.
This game is a great time, and genuinely something I come back to on rare occassion.
Story
There isn't much, and that's okay, because this game wasn't designed to be very story heavy. It's a game meant for horny guys who are really good at platformers. Thankfully I am the latter... not the former. Man h-games might be more fun if I liked H..
Gameplay
After ranking four RPGM games I get to talk about a platformer, I actually mostly like platformers more. I'm a sonic fan first and foremost but 2D platformers like this are also totally my groove. The game has good controls and feels responsive, if a little janky at times. You run through four(five) different locales and throw different firearms(yup) at some monmusu masterpieces until they explode in blazing glory.
Rare case in a H-Game where you can beat an H-Game without losing your V Card, Marion is in fact, the Goat.
Bosses
Honestly, a little bit of a mixed bag? The Boss Difficulty jumps around quite a bit in this game, if I had to rank them, it'd probably be something like this from hardest to easiest
Daji>Ninja Harpy>Anubis>Baphomet>Minotaur>Octael>Oni>Squid
No surprise Daji is the hardest considering shes the hardest from her original game.
Soundtrack
If you ain't humming that first area theme everywhere you go I don't know what you're cooking that shit catchy af.
I'm not even entirely sure if the music is freeware, a purchased copyright, or actually original, regardless, it bangs.
All of it bangs, there's no track I disliked.
Anyways, to conclude,
It's a 4/5 for two reasons, because I do like having some story in my games. And because frankly, its just too short. I imagine the reason the game is this short is partially due to it's homage and also because the devs didn't want to have to design and animate more women. As somebody who doesn't care about the women, I would've been fine seeing reused enemies as long as they kept making more areas and more interesting level design...
Oh well, if you want a challenge out of this game, try doing Virgin% and not dying a single time. Otherwise restart from the start, it's pretty fun.
Doing all Forms of Daji in one life is also a decent challenge, though not as hard.
I'll do Eroico next as a Review, I like that game a lot, shame people find it too hard.. reminds me of another game I've talked about... huh.
