He is probably just getting greedy. He spent more time on this game than he did between his last two games, but he spent similar times or more between games in the past. The price nearly doubled however, but clearly neither scale or quality has changed in any big way if the trial version and information provided is anything to go by. There are most definitely not twice as many girls and scenes than in all his other games, I doubt the story will be twice as long and good, and he recycled a lot of old characters by bringing them back once again, hell the girl with the goons even got the exact same sex scene, which just looks lazy.
I have been burned with buying games from him in the past that did not feel up to par with some older games he had, I definitely won't pay that kind of money, even if I could, which I can't easily do anyway because Dlsite goes out of it's way to refuse my money, so for me the game will be free.
No. I used to buy DLsite points with Paypal, but it is no longer supported. For a year or so you could buy points through DLpay, a workaround when the direct purchase of points no longer worked, thats not possible anymore either, and it was on the horizon. But, because of DLsite being a piece of shit site run by utter baboons, no sane person did what they would have normally done, which is buy a massive supply of points to be in the clear for a few years.
Why couldn't we do that? Because this fucksite made the retarded decision to give these points, these DIGITAL goods, an expiration date, of one year, so if you would have bought tens of thousands of points, as I would have done, you would have lost most of them by now since the one year span is basically reached.
Stuff like that, these sites fighting so hard to refuse my money, and the producers of such games not offering any better alternatives to buy their games, makes me entitled to pirate games with a clean conscience in my mind.
i only bought his games to support him but 3850 yen is too much for that
and i think there's a reason why he reuses the same girls... apart from being lazy
i think he's working on some kind of a multiverse/timeline like scenario for his game franchise
similar to the MCU the stories in his games are also somewhat connected
but that's just a theory of mine...
but it would be funny if his next game where about the boys from his other games
forming an shota league or shota avenger team
also about your point problem you could buy fewer points...
or only buy them when you need them
and buying points via gift cards is actually pretty easy

Could be I guess, he has made other former protagonists appear in games before, so I guess it is a possibility, would be an interesting idea in theory, less so in practice, mainly because his protagonists are not exactly very differing in personality, which would be the most crucial thing in such a league, characters that actually differe noticeably from each other.
Ima be honest with you, I went to great lengths to try and buy shit from Dlsite in the past, with my country being particularly harsh when it comes to online buying porn, and credit cards not being a common thing, so I refused to get one. I eventually gave up and caved in, going out of my way to get Paypal, just to buy points from this shit site. Did that, soon after Paypal could no longer buy points directly, had to do it through the Dlpay workaround, worked for a while, before that was gone too, deleted Paypal then cause why would I use that crap then. And like I said, could not hoard points because these dumbfucks give them an expiration date for no reason.
Could I now go out of my way even more to try and gain the privilege of giving my money to them again? Maybe, could get into crypto crap just for this, or make several new accounts on sites I do not trust or know anything about. Will I? No, because I already wasted so much time and effort over the years trying to give them my money. Now it is their turn, Dlsite or the developers themselves can either provide me with a method that I can reasonably use without a bunch of extra hoops I gotta jump through so that I can buy stuff from them again, or they can fuck off while I download all the shit for free 1-3 days after it releases on the sites I have become familiar with. I am fine with either at this point.

might we want to take discussing choetsu yuugi over to there? this is the super punch boy thread, after all, so... though i'm not sure how much water the argument of "this is a different thread" holds after how much non-spb stuff is now here, i just personally think it would be more proper to have it over there rather than here.
also not sure if it means much now considering it seems to be releasing soon, but it probably would help to have the thread in case of any future releases after choetsu yuugi.

I consider this great news since it's out!
So according to CurrencyFreak's conversion 3850 Yen = $25.91 USD. That is pretty high but given how many of Excessm's games we have played for free I wouldn't consider it too big of a sacrifice.
An Excessm-Game Universe is exactly what we need! Since these games take place across time, I could see him going the Succubus Covenant route with the MCs being a bloodline repeatedly targeted by women wanting to milk them for power. This meshes especially well with Super Punch Boy's lore.

Anybody has problems with this game? I keep getting black screen and some events don't even work
the new game will come out on nov 8 well nov 7 for time zone difference depending on where you are the game will also have a discount when its out from what the blog says

Hope there’s more ballbusting in the new game. I really enjoyed the scenes of it there was here, wished for more.
I was literally about to make a similar post - regarding if there's any ballbusting in the new game as far as anyone knew.

TBF Excessm's games are painfully straight forward and regardless of gene finds a way to fall into a similar mold

He started going downhill after Yume-Sama. To the point where out of the 3 games he's made since this is the only one that received even a partial manual translation.
Real. He was creating peak, but I guess he burned out. The first non side scroller he made (Parade Buster) was decent but I think he ran out of ideas after that.
