VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Sylvia [2022.03] [ManorStories]

This game is top-notch, the art is wonderful and the voice acting is even better.

I am not such a fan of gigantic boobs in games but it didn't bother me much in this game because everything else was just so great.

I wrote a more detailed review a long time ago but it got deleted because I miss clicked but I think this review is still fine..

Good characters Best voice acting I've heard in a wiener game by far (first time not muting voice)
Story is pretty funny too will probably be great when its longer as is now it feels a bit rushed

Only real gripe is the interface/hud is significantly worse than the the default for ren'py games

I have just finished playing the latest version of this visual novel, and it was a great game.

The good: voice acting, art, sex scenes and story choices.

The bad: A couple of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors here and there, but they can be excused since this visual novel clearly wasn't written by a native English writer.

I'm looking forward to enjoying the future additions of this game.

Good art, good history, professionalism, one of the first game with voice dialogues that the voice acting ins't bad, just, a really good game, can't wait till its fully developed.

I grabbed this game way back when it was French VO only and came back to it recently.

The positives: artwork, interactivity and voice acting are all superb. Feels like a unique game and it is. As much as I love 3D games, 2D ones like this are hard to come by and the quality of the art leaves you very satisfied in a lot of scenes.

The negative: The game is a bit short so far, but that's to be expected as it's unfinished and the extra work for art and VO so I can't hold it against it too much, eagerly awaiting updates. The second chapter's navigation system is a tad clunky and messy and snubs itself in terms of conversations. Leaving it more linear like Chapter 1 and 3 would likely be better.

The art is very good, yes, but the game escalates way too quickly. After second sexy scene, she already tells you she loves you, it comes from no where.

Started very well, ended very poorly.

Also, it really lacks some basic features like right-click to open the menu, or mouse wheel to go back

The voice acting honestly makes this whole game!
Sylvias voice acting especially, but also Leas!
Others are making a good job also, but the two main girls are spot on!!!
I have never played an adult game with this good voice acting!

With out it tho, im not so sure i would really like the game so much.
Art is ok i guess, but could be a bit more pictures, and better animations.

Sylvia's voice in french is soo sexy and cute. Her characters model and art is great too.. some animations and erotic situations look damn good too

Thats the extent of good points in this game.. I don't know why but dev spent more time creating new almost useless locations than on actual content.. its a damn shame

Very underrated game. Decent enough plot so far, can't say the story is far enough along to have a real sense for how it will be in the end - but decent. What sets it apart is the great art and top notch voice acting. Looking forward to more updates.

Fun stuff. Fully voiced is a nice change of pace when it comes to this genre of games. Not a whole whole lot to do right now, but this game has a lot of potential. The art looks very nice and the scenes are pretty enjoyable. No crazy kinks in this, so if you can you don't mind cheating then this is a pretty vanilla game.

It is very good not many games with this high art done in them.Something that is strong in this game.

They did a good job giving life to the characters.

Did not do the minigames but i don't really think they matter that much.

I really like this game. The fact that it is firstly in french, because I am a french Canadian. And the voice option, to hear the women dialogues, it is great ! It is very sensual and make this game more interesting too and original. The graphics and interactions are pretty nice too.

But yes, it is true that the minigames (the ride in boat what the hell !!!) broke all the pleasure to play.

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is Beta 2 Demo...

It is an interesting visual novel/game, but I'm not a fan of all the mini-games...

The visuals of the characters are 2D hand drawn, and look decent... There seems to be a big breast fetish theme with breasts looking a bit oversized for some characters body frames... The visuals look a slight bit cartoony, both characters and backdrops... There are some mini-games that require a lot of clicking and so forth, almost like sex simulators (which I'm not a fan of)... You could end up wearing your mouse out with all the clicking that sometimes is required...

The script is pretty good, with only a few broken English moments and a tiny bit of spelling/grammar errors... The transitions appear in French rather then English even though English is selected... The plot revolves around a male protagonist who is starting a new job, and has a girlfriend who is a bit stuck up and over protective... The story then involves building Hearts (relationship) with various characters, mostly the protagonists Boss... Opening up new content depending on the number of hearts earned...

Overall, the story starts off strong but sort of takes a back seat to the mini-games and just making the right choices for building hearts... The extended bonus content involves a lot of various mini-games, which is not something I'm a fan of... All in all, it just doesn't feel like this is a Visual Novel as it is more of less a dating/sex simulator... Less focus on meaningful and deep story, and more focus on opening up sexual content, that caters to different fetishes through pleasing choices for Sylvia and winning mini-games... Almost feels like it's developing more as a porn fest game then a story driven visual novel with erotic content... It's just a demo for now... Will I revisit it? Probably not, as I'm not a fan of sex simulators or mini-games...
