At no point would I have assumed heterosexuality was involved with a title like that lol
No gay or lesbian content, or is this an entirely M/F affair?
Tops & Bottoms in the name and no gay tag
I knew that'd be a divisive decision lol. I definitely thought about it first but had to make a choice. My other (larger) project
FF:HR has straight, gay and lesbian content and I've noticed that the lack of a specific target audience makes it less successful overall. I don't regret that decision, because that's what my bi ass intended to do from the start, but that's not how I'll be able to make a living.
That's one of the reasons I decided to make a smaller-scaled game on the side I could release on Steam, with a specific audience (straight) in mind first. And also why I'm planning, if this takes off, to make separate games, like Tabletops & Bottoms Gays and Tabletops & Bottoms Lesbians, rather than having everything in the same project. Obviously this only works if I don't blow both the scope and the budget up, so I can still deliver the full game in a reasonable time frame.
It's good if you like bad rng generators
I've tried to limit the bad consequences of RNG and I can probably tune it further if I get more comments like yours. For now, though, I don't think it's too bad unless you're really unlucky.
I don't know if this is based on an existing system, but what an amazing tabletop design!
I can't wait to cook up some SFW version of this to play with my friends IRL.
Thank you

The design is original and went through a lot of iterations, though I was definitely inspired by lots of board games in how I tried to approach things. For now I'm not sure how that would translate with a real board and real cards, but I'd be interested to know if you manage to cook something up
Tried it, enjoyed it, Elf needs a different ability. Warrior can use hers to resolve multiple effects a turn while Elf really just gets to pick a choice of dodging inconvenient spots like a shop. 2-3 events per turn is just way more fun.
The way I see it, the Warrior has an advantage in the early game (which the demo focuses on) because that's when she'll most likely Fight (instead of Dominate/Submit) foes and get a reduced mana cost for Endurance.
The Elf will normally have an upper hand in the latter part of the game, when most rooms are revealed and he can uses the Gust of Wind skill to better influence where he goes. Being able to land on the Mirror room could also be a winning move. Obviously I'll have lots of playtesting to do before I decide to nerf the Warrior.
Will it just be the male/female + top/bottom variations or will there some more coming in the future? Corruption/transformation/special events/etc?
I'll try to keep things simple in terms of variation ; as I said I'd rather keep the scope in check and not spend too much time (and $$$) on one game. I can get a little more creative with events in later tiers, but probably not on the same level as games being developped for years.
Is this game static images only or animations?
The game has static images only. I'd even say this is one of the reasons why I went for a design based on cards, so the static images would make sense.
