Unity - Taffy Tales [S1 v1.0.35 Redux] [UberPie]

I'm not going to make a huge effort with this review because I don't think this game deserves it. This game is bad. It is just a knock off of other better games that are out there, and I think you all already know which one I'm referring too. The characters in it are personified stereotypes and are otherwise totally unmemorable. Worst of all the dialogue is sleazy as hell. I've played a lot of bad games but the conversations in this were particularly grating. Most of the H-secenes in this are rape too, yet this game doesn't seem to have a rape tag on it?

So yeah, do yourself a favor and skip this one.

This games art style is amazing and the h scenes are top notch a little dialogue heavy but worth it the game can only get better there is a fair amount of h scenes in this game but as of now my 3 favorite characters [priscilla who has the most the 3 ryoko and mia ] dont have a whole lot but in futrue updates i sure that will change.

This game is a tuffy to review because there are things I do like about this game and things I despise about this game.

Starting with MC, this games biggest flaw. The dark split personality side of MC is unbearable. Just a complete dickwad with annoying ass writing. The writer tries to give him moments of character development, but then he just goes right back to being a fuckwad. Literally the only time that side of him is likeable is when he defends his mom from Chantelle which was actually pretty cool of him. Because of MCs split personality, almost every lewd scene in this game is male dom/bdsm/humiliation/corruption. I wouldn’t mind this if it weren't EVERY SINGLE FUCKING LEWD SCENE IN THE GAME. The writers seriously need to have more variety with how MC interacts with these woman, but because of the asshole split personality side of MC, that would be impossible to accomplish.

Next the story. The story is decent in this game. I don’t expect the most amazing, draw dropping story from a point and click VN so TT has a pretty good story from that perspective. I'm actually pretty interested in the origins behind the town and the shadiness behind it as well as MC's past. The writing in this game is also good with no engrish and stupidity (besides the writer using the word simp like a 12 year old pewdiepie fan).

Lastly, the art/lewd scene. The girls look pretty good in this game with only the problem being that some of the girls have butthole eyes and inconsistencies of appearance between the lewd scenes and the normal models. The sex scenes themselves are all right. Too much bdsm/corruption for my liking but whatever. They are decently written too but I think MC talks/describes too much during them. Sadly scenes are not animated but there are a fuck ton of scenes in this game so that is definitely a strong suit.

Overall, if you liked Summertime Saga, you'll probably like this game too, give it a shot even though it's far from perfect.

Very easy recommendation. Easily 5/5.

Art, writing, music are all solid. Plot is interesting [Tyler Durdenesque character dichotomy] yet it understands to act as a vehicle for the action.

First played the first version of this game, was a promising proof of concept and art style. Now, the game has grown to have a significant amount of content over the 2 years of development. As the quality is high I don't mind waiting in between releases.

The only nitpicking I would do [and this is completely scraping the barrel] is that the anatomy is a bit wonky in this game, MC will kill women with that dong. Thankfully I don't expect realism, and in a way it is a facet of the artstyle as well, the women are also drawn similarly to a pin-up.

Easily one of the best games on F95 at the moment IMO. Play it, it's pretty good.

I'm somewhere between 3-4 stars, but I'll round up to 4 just because I love the original art so much. One of the best out there imo, I love the cartoonish vibe with enough realism mixed in to keep it from being over the top.

I have no complaints about the story, nothing stellar but it's fine for what it is. I also enjoy that it is a free-roam game, much preferred to a linear story that a lot of games out there are.

My biggest complaint that keeps this from being a slam dunk 5-star game is that the writing just fucking drags, and at the worst times too. When I find myself wanting most sex scenes to just be over because I'm clicking and half-reading through line after line after line of text for only a few images, something is wrong there. And it only seems to get worse the further along you get with a girl.

SPOILERS- The worst for me was near the end of the Becca/Clara story when I had to click through what had to be 50+ lines of BS just to see more of the same BDSM outfits and a cock going in Becca doggy anal with no camera changes. And then the new character Violet (who is so fucking hot), her first sex scene was clicking through 30+ lines of nonsense bimbo talk just to see a single shot of MCs ass when she was giving a blowjob without even a tit coming out, talk about a letdown for the final scene of this update.

All-in-all, there are enough girls to keep it fresh, when I'm getting sick of one or another it jumps back into different girl, and they are all hot so no issues there. But man do I wish the sex scenes didn't fucking drag like they do.

Holy fuck I can not stand this MC. He's an insufferable, stammering pussy on the outside with a creep inside his head that wont shut the fuck up already. Nothing likable. There may not be any NTR yet, but he just another typical NTR MC. He even has the pussy boy body shape, wide hips, narrow waist and shoulders, stick limbs. If he got a boobjob, no one would be able to tell he was a dude.

Also, you don't need to describe in detail what people look like via text, WHEN THE PERSON YOU ARE DESCRIBING IS ONSCREEN. This isn't a book.

The only things that sets this apart is the art, which is wasted on this game.

Frankly, I do not know why this game gets so many 5-star reviews here. So far, the only thing that separates this one from any other run-of-the-mill corruption VN is the original art, neither manga nor 3D nor real-life porn, but an interesting mix of hyper-realism and comic book caricature. If you don't mind the obsessive fetishization of oversized booties, boobs and cocks then you'll find plenty of pics to fap to. If you actually want to play a lewd game, not just read a visual novel dressed as a game, then look elsewhere.

Other than that, the player, or should I say, clicking reader follows a straight-forward storyline featuring a well-endowed teenager possessed by an impish alter-ego who'll fuck pretty much anyone, including but not limited to his own ahem... Guardian, School Teacher and her daughter, the cleaning lady and her crossdressing son, no holes barred. There is very little to none believable progression in the corruption process, despite that the game pretends that there are choices to be taken, ladies to talk to in correct order, puzzles solved, money earned and invested. You receive an almost linear sequence of 'quests' - some of which are so minuscule (like go home/go to sleep) that one sees no point in putting them there other than silly plot devices for the MC to think of something important at the right place and time - and all the obvious requirements needed to complete these quests just materialize out of thin air exactly when needed. Need an item A? Go and check room/location B and you'll find it there staring right at you even though it wasn't there five minutes ago. Hah! The very room/location B did not exist until a 'quest' required you to find item A there. And there's too many clickable areas in certain locations that do not do anything or do just one trick and that's it. Chest in the PC's room? Apparently, it's only for keeping a stolen gun in. Toilet in the house's bathroom? Oh yeah, granma's wedding gift with one silly scene of Mo... ahem, Guardian sitting on it and masturbating. I know this is only version 0.xxx and the final one will be just perfect, with everything making sense, but at the moment the game is an unfinished product that did not earn more than 3/5 stars from me.

The story itself is just a little bit too juvenile for me at my age. Of course, I'd fap to it like crazy in my late teens and early twenties, but an old pervert like me desires something more cerebral than adventures of a schoolboy-cum-sex demon and his harem of cock-enchanted chicks of all shapes, sizes and ages.

I like dark theme of this game. Many hypocrites complained about how rude and shallow of MC but I think all people who play adult game want to unleash that part of them. So if you want an in-depth story that consist of many fucking and even fcking your own mother so do not play this game.

Review of v0.17.0b. Overall 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. Art is good although currently focused on the ridiculously boobed characters. Writing is decent.
The game is set up like a sandbox but plays like a VN which is where most problems come up. You can't pursue particular characters, you just trigger events and work your way through everyone for the most part. There are some other characters teased but those plots aren't fully implemented yet.
There are a few weird sequence breaks such as not being able to follow your friend outside at the start of the game when asked to or being able to retrieve a treasured possession from a tree before it's ever given to you.
The hint system is pretty bad. It'll say things like "study" which can mean three different things and will often mean the same thing several times in a row before suddenly deciding to mean something different.

So overall a good game but would have liked more freedom.

I've been playing almost since the first release. The picture quality is top class, well-chosen music. Great characters.
The plot is actually interesting and unusual. We play as a character who has lost his memory, and we are not just fucking the whole city. There is a certain plot that is in the background and does not interfere with additional plots for each girl. I hope the author will not add NTR.
I think It's one of the best +18 game right now

This game is as far I have played the best of it's kind. You play a highschooler with alot of pervy fantasies.

So what this game does so well where other games fail is that when let's say you hang around with one girl the others will notice it. It's always a buzzkill for me when I see a girl is in love with you but other characters are oblivious to that fact.

Based on my overall opinions, Taffy Tales art style is quite phenomenal in comparison to contemporaries. Its colorful and vibrant colors, shading, and aesthetic is beautiful and its characters' appearances vary significantly across the board.
While their characters' appearances are fantastic; however, personalities wise is lacking in originality. On the other hand, while UberPie's characters are unoriginal character tropes, they at least fit together in the story's overall plot.
While the characters are believable under the plot's premise, there is too much focus on certain characters like Carla. If you want to progress with Becca you must do so with Carla regardless of preferences (I enjoyed Carla story even with the cuckolding.
There is a lot of unresolved questions, such as who is the mysterious women, what is sinister powers mentioned through out. Understanding that Taffy Tales is still in progress and not complete, it is unavoidable that Carla is shown more love than others.
Unfortunately, the game has a variety of bugs and errors that can adversely affect the game play's progression, Unless you follow the walk through step-by-step, you might experience a dead ends. To the creators' credit, they have fixed a variety of the aforementioned problems.
My other issue is lack of animations, angles, positions, and being able to repeat scenes. I have been spoiled by other adult games that employ animations during scenes with variable views and positions, that makes Taffy Tales seems lacking. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the scenes with the various women.
If you don't like the classic adult games' story line of the protagonist fucking the females by hook or crook, then Taffy Tales is not for you. If you want a artistic and visually appealing characters with solid game play and coherent story, then Taffy Tales is just for you.
UberPie and his team has created something special with Taffy Tales and this is something you should at least experience. I look forward to their complete version of the game.

So far, Taffy Tales has been slowly progressing in its story. We are gaining more information on what is truly going on under this idyllic town's facade. Some members of the sex trafficking cabal are revealed and we are unfortunately left with even further questions.
Who are the others members? What are their end goal? When will they make their moves? Where else have they placed their nefarious claws? Why are they doing this? Lastly, who is the 'Toy' in Walter's office? Maybe we'll have all the answers at Taffy Tales final completion.
Taffy Tales is going they way its peers. While introducing more characters livens the game, it also delays others' development. With an already full cast of sexy women, they are still left untouched in their story. I fear Tiffany will be left on the wayside for awhile. Too much of anything is as bad as too little. A bigger cast of characters means little time for everyone. UberPie and his team should focus on it core characters, they who captured the fans' (myself included) interests.
The underlying game still has the same problems as before in terms of game play. Without carefully following walk-through will you find yourself stuck or not triggering certain events. On the other hand, the team has been quick to rectify any bugs and errors in the game.
In the end, we can only watch and play with bated breaths to see whether Taffy Tales will become an apex legend in adult games. I wish UberPie and his team best wishes!

Amazing game. It has a lot of content and if you follow the walkthrough it will take a long time to get through it all. I got to give it to the devs, the writing is spot on and the art is really good. It does have a few warts, like the bugs that plauge the game, but I can overlook them because the world and writing is that good. Two minor criticisms from the story perspective. The first is Darrell, he is a big overwhelming as an antagonist at first. As someone who is not into NTR, it felt like it was getting pretty close multiple times at the beginning when he was around multiple women you are interested in, especially what he does in the bathroom. Luckily, there was no NTR as far as I can tell and supposedly if it is implemented it will be optional, so that is good. With that said, I really hope the DEV gives us some good ways at revenge on Darrell, more than simply banging his sister which I am pretty confident we can do in a future update. Something that will ruin his life, maybe turn him into a submissive cuck you have power over.

The second issue is how you treat Danny. I actually like cucking people in games, but those are usually assholes that deserve it, or random people I have no real connection with. Cucking a friend in the game who did nothing to my character just rubs me the wrong way. Taking his mom and the girl he loves, and with the hint, probably a sister that was hinted out in a future update. (What the hell dev? What do you have against Danny? I think this path has the most content in the game). I hope we can get an option to HELP danny out that does not involve cucking him more. Maybe find him a nice girl that we can optionally NOT go after so he can find real happiness.

With all that said, it is a fantastic game and will only get better with future updates.

I have only played since 0.11.X and it's only seen vast (albeit arguably slow) improvement both content, animation, and art wise. But at least this developer isn't milking this game dry for years and years with very little content. There is clear improvement and actually new content. Not taking extra time to "redo art" or anything. Just content and improvements all around.

I thought the game was great. The only negatives I can think of are the mild grammatical errors and spikes in puzzle difficulty. In my honest opinion the positives far outweigh the negatives. For instance the character interaction was engaging, the humor was spot on when attempted, the artwork was good at some points and impressive at others, it also didn't fuck with my music and turn mine off even though I muted that games sound/music (I didn't give the ost a chance , like most games, since I prefer to listen to my playlist.), finally ,and I cannot stress this enough, they have bowling. Boom! 10/10 in my book!
