One thing for certain, that was not written by Uberpie, that's for sure. Lostraven or whomever the other writer is did so. The reason why I say this is that it is of a different tone than anything Uberpie's put out on his own, previously, as well as the well-written structure of the English language (Uberpie's is less formal).NEW POST
Hi everyone!
First of all, I want to say that development is going well, and we’re doing everything we can to release the game as soon as possible.
Now, let’s talk about a question that comes up frequently. We often get feedback that our development process is too closed off. People don’t know what stage we’re at, when the release will be, or what’s going on in general. Yes, I’m aware of this problem, which has been around for years. People want to see progress and know the timelines, which is completely understandable.
We face a difficult choice between two options:
The first option (which we usually choose) is to avoid giving direct answers to avoid lying and setting dates we can't be sure of.
Second option is to estimate the workload, provide rough completion percentages, and give tentative timelines. The problem is that even these estimates are often inaccurate. As you probably know, this is the toughest question for all developers, especially indie developers. Any team member can inadvertently affect the development schedule, and things can change unexpectedly. Even when developers provide progress bars, they rarely reflect the true status of development because of the inherent unpredictability of the project.
Why am I telling you all this? To explain why we can’t give a clear and specific answer about when the release will be. We don’t know ourselves. But I can promise you that we’ve been working hard since last fall, especially after being banned on Patreon. We have no reason to delay, especially now when every day counts for the Steam release.
At this point, all CG art is finished. Spine (character work) has been completely redone and is 95% complete (and this is much more work than CG, as we have 44 characters in Spine, each with 6-15 skins and 30-50 animations. And yes, they multiply each other). The programmer is finalizing the build and working on bug fixes, while the project manager is focusing on the project’s logic and the correct sequencing of main scenes, small talks, and technical scenes. We are also still looking for a good video maker for the trailer (unfortunately, our first candidate disappeared, which sometimes happens in our industry). Both writers have nearly completed their work, and we are starting to provide them new material.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I understand that being more open is important, but please believe me when I say that all these development progress bars and timelines are just estimates. It's impossible to predict exactly how much work will be needed as the process unfolds, so all we can do is keep pushing forward. We always strive to increase the efficiency of our work to release higher-quality updates more quickly. We've launched many significant updates in the past within our industry, and I sincerely hope we've earned some of your trust along the way.
As always,
Thank you all so much for your support,
Without you guys,
None of this would be possible,
Love,
-The Taffy Tales Team
My note: Very important announcement for those who asked about release dates or progress updates. Hopefully, this can ease many concerns for those who asked. This also helps Count Morado a lot when people asked about this problem lol. Uber also mentioned about two writers, does this mean that they're also doing the NTR side? Would make sense for both routes to be worked on in this redux.

Before any netorare fans (or haters) get excited (or angered) -- At this time, I doubt that any of the the Netorare (NTR) route will be involved in this release. It would require new material written, artwork made, coding done - because it does not currently exist in whatever "Season 1" ends up being. Also, because no one on the development team has made any intimation about working on the Netorare (NTR) route for the past year.
Final interesting note is that the 25 July announcement stated they had "begun play-testing the new build" and now a month later it is revealed that is not the case - they are still working on content. This is not the first time there's been a premature announcement about play testing only for it to be revealed later that development was not that far along (see January through May of 2022 for v0.82.4/v0.85.1 as one example).
Thanks Vanheller.
