It's completely supporters fault for this AI slop, they kicked artist in order to earn more money, but supporters are so dumb that they can't understand that months without update is due to AI inability to generate desired outcome.

First Question:
Because v0.89.8 was released first on 11 Oct 22. Then when the developer released v0.95.7 on 01 Jul 23, he decided to make self-contained updates and change the version naming system to "Seasons" - first naming v0.89.8 "Seasons 1-4" and naming the self-contained continuation of the game, v0.95.7, "Season 5." Also at the time, he announced that he intended at some point to break up v0.89.8 into 4 separate self-contained "Seasons." He added to "Season 5" on 29 Jan 24, updating its version number to v1.07.3.

Then, after getting kicked off of Patreon in Mar 25, after a little discussion, he decided to start going back to the old content and repackaging, revising, and reworking it into "finished" retail products. On 01 Feb 25, he released the first, Season 1 Redux on Itch/Subscribestar.

Second Question has been asked and answered dozens of times in the thread and is easily found, even by simply skimming the previous 2-3 pages. From the bottom of the previous page:

v0.89.8 "Seasons 1-4" has about 80% of all the content released prior to the Season 1 Redux release. Season 1 Redux has about 15% of the content from "Seasons 1-4". It also has a couple of scenes from v1.07.3 "Season 5" as dream sequences. But all that content will eventually be released when the future Reduxes are released over the coming years. Season 1 Redux also has a few new scenes that are not in anything else.

Do you want to play a version with a lot of content? Go play v0.89.8 "Seasons 1-4" and then v1.07.3 "Season 5" <-- these are both the "in development" versions, not "finished" retail.
If you strictly want a netorare playthrough, play the short completely optional and separate netorare route in v1.07.3 "Season 5" <-- this is the "in development" version, not "finished" retail.
Do you want to see 4k images and video with some additional content added of the first 20% or so of the game? Play Season 1 Redux. <-- this is the "finished" retail version, nothing more will be added to it. Further Season Redux versions will be separate downloads.

Fresh Eyes, Stronger Scenes

Hey friends! I was away for a week (finally took a short break). Sorry for the delay.

We're continuing work on the project and have now moved on to the next characters in Season 2’s storyline. I also wanted to share an important note - the final in-game art may look quite different (in my opinion, much better!) compared to the teaser art shown in earlier posts.

There’s a simple reason for that - every artist knows that the longer you look at a piece, the less you actually see it. Early on, tricks like flipping the canvas or zooming in help catch mistakes, but eventually, even that stops working. What really helps is setting the work aside for a few days (or weeks!) and coming back to it with fresh eyes - and then the issues become obvious.

We have so many ideas and so little time to bring them all to life. But we’re doing our best, and it means the world if you’re enjoying what we’ve created so far.

Thanks again for everything - your support during the rough patches this year has meant so much, and we’re doing our best to give that love right back.

Bug fixes, typo corrections, etc. No content is new. Season 1 Redux already had all the content that Season 1 Redux will have when it was first released over 4 months ago.

Season 1 Redux came out the end of Jan/first of Feb and it took 10+ months from the announcement that they were going to create a Season 1 Redux.
They didn't even really start on Season 2 Redux until several weeks after Season 1 Redux first came out. Yeah, they did little things here and there - but based upon the wording of announcements, it really didn't get underway until the end of Feb/beginning of Mar.

You should consider 2026, and if it comes out before then you can be pleasantly surprised.

TL;DR: the funding platforms don't give a shit about pregenerated AI. I wish people would drop that nonstarter as a complaint. Could have been the nonconsensual sex. Could have been several things. He says he was never informed of why.
