Ah okay, well was struck by the similarity to a Victorian gentlemen that appears in Watanuki's ghost story. It is not an exact match to your image just very similar in some ways I tried to find a screen shot but failed I may have to create my own if I do I will share it with you. Fwiw, the updates are usually pretty big. The last 2 updates each had about 2.5 hours of content. Some of the delay can be attributes to the art of the game which is hand drawn, as opposed to the DAZ / blender rendering in BADIK.
Also, Broken Dreamer updates are certainly shorter than BADIK and TT.

How slow are you at reading for the content to take 2.5 hours...

Yap and nutting can take up to 29 minutes to a hour if you have the willpower.

Correct - because if anyone is the ass in this place, it's me, goddammit. There can be only one!

(also, I checked a couple online videos of playthroughs, it appears after taking into account title cards and intro/exit commentary - the average playtime for the last update was about 90 minutes of full content.)

Oh, and don't bother asking for a compressed version when it updates. The devteam hasn't offered one in the past and there is no one currently on the F95 compression team that works with Unity games. Sorry.

I highly recommend reading the spoiler above and paying close attention to the yellow highlighted content that Count Morado has posted so you can be in the know and not make an ass of your self later

After playing through almost everything i can safely say that this game has only two big problems for me at the moment.

(1) it's buggy as inferno, most of the time these bugs can be resolved by loading a save but still, it's very annoying.

(2) That quest journal is useless, most of the time it tells me nothing of what i am supposed to do and sometimes it misleads you as well, then i have to fuck around for a good minute trying to figure shit out while getting increasingly annoyed.

For people of the future who may read this post, i am playing version 0.68.2a, so that may not apply to you in case this has not been abandoned in the far future.

I keep hearing this complaint and it surprises me everytime, I never had any problem with the hints feature (with the exception of the bugged quest where you need to retrieve the ball)

I'm not arguing with you, you're definitely not alone in having issues with this feature, I think maybe I didn't have problems with it because I never treated it as a quest journal that was supposed to guide me through the game, I used it as a hint sheet that gave me the occasional clue when my progress seemed to stall.

I have had this problem on my first playthrough where I read nothing of the story and just skipped all the text (which obviously is my fault ^^).

Stuff that I found difficult were:
- finding new locations like the bridge or the motel
- finding Alan / calling Alan
- finding the Ruler
- getting into the girls shower
- placing the cameras while in Gerda's home

Yup I think I see your problem there reading the story is important if you're going to figure out what to do next lol.
Most of it is obvious when you slow down and take in what you've learned from the dialogue.

Uberpie has never posted here, this isn't the developer's forum. They have patreon where they put out updates about every two weeks or so to their patrons.

lostraven sometimes posts here, however in the discord it was shared (after someone asked what was going on with his day) that lostraven is fighting COVID. Note, his major work for the project is completed.

There's been no word about any playtesting going on. the patrons over there are anxious for the game, but there's less pressure from the patrons than has been apparent here - in the place where people take the game for free.

You could join the discord to see what's discussed over there.

Game can wait lostraven 's health is way more important than the game release. Hope people will have sense enough to understand that.

Are you trolling?
you ask for updates often enough to know by now

• That the Dev isn't here!
• That there has never been an declared timetable!
• That nobody is under any obligation to keep the non paying public informed about anything.
  (Hell Devs aren't even obligated to keep paying patrons informed, any time they do it is a courtesy)

The best you can hope for is that someone will pull a date out their ass, probably with the intent of stirring up the trolls when it inevitably fails to be accurate.
