Unity - Taffy Tales [S1 v1.1.55 Redux] [UberPie]

Well... I first played this game quite a while ago; there's even an old review somewhere. Now I've given it a second chance. There won't be much text here, as my thoughts remain largely the same. I won't even go into the pros and cons.

1. Everyone who says the game deteriorated with the AI is right. In my opinion, that goes without saying. I've never been a fan of the AI, but I can appreciate its quality. It has only one problem: it's incredibly formulaic (if we're talking about Taffy Tails, at least).

2. The game had and still has interesting (albeit very confusing) mechanics. It would seem like a classic, something you could find in a thousand similar games, but there's still something here.

3. The sound is sorely lacking. We're not in the 90s. Silent movies are out of place here. This isn't a visual novel, where visuals complement stunning stories. Sound is needed here.

4. Taffy would be much better and more popular if the player were given LITERAL hints about where to go and what to do.

5. The animation is also lacking, given the questionable art style and a host of flaws.

And 6... Despite all this negativity, I'd like to urge everyone reading this not to judge the developers too harshly. Anyone can criticize, but no one can create. Let's be constructive. I don't know much about these developers, but I'm sure if they're conscientious, they can improve the situation. The happy medium is to return to the first four seasons. Ideally, add similarities or hints for tasks and sound, plus improve the animation. The game will be golden.

In the worst case, they'll leave everything as is and add AI-related features like those in Season 5. Then no one will give you any money, and your work will likely go down the drain. So, with time, we'll find out whether the people making this product are responsible or not.

Very good one here. Not perfect, with weak animations and some other stuff... like Not Done Content, but... it is Better then I expected. A lot better. Just cut some edges. Many chracters is almost always good. 2D art style is for people that love it, not 3D (me included).
It is a good 18+ game with nice, sometimes funny story and gameplay. Tho it steel in need of full story. Ty for the seasoning thing btw. Just... well, give it a try.

The creator just reworks and reworks, barley adding any content to the updates. There is "ntr" now but there is barley any content for that line. It would be better if the creator just stuck to the original premises.

Great game, but a milking project, stay away from this almost seems like the developer is just not giving updates. Ut instead stretching it. Remakes a game that No one really asked for. Nonetheless it does have some up and downs in terms of gameplay

It's an AI fest. Unnatural, off-putting. Sure, the game wasn't like this before but it is what these "remakes" are. And it will continue to be so. Like bro, AI wont save you time. Unless the developer is afraid of sharing the profit with the artists. This game is going nowhere, unfortunately!

This is wild... I get why the writer left the project : they remade the old game, removing 2/3 of the content, making it visually better but making the story more convoluted in an appeal to make it more sandboxy I guess.
Just play the game before the remake, it was decently written & scenes were hot & climatic, I really don't understand why they remade a good game into this.

devs are just too lazy to progress the story and finalize the game, getting redone same beginning over and over once a year to sell horny kids same content under a new sauce. They deserved the ban on Steam, no roadmap, no plans, no progress almost for a decade. Avoid at all cost.

Thanks dev for s1 redux. waiting for a whole year turned into nothing. Just a reworking of the first part of the game. Just milking money from subscribers. It's a pity for the people who bring money to this greedy bastard.

I remember playing this game a few years ago and enjoying it, with the story ending on a cliffhanger waiting to be finished.
And it feels like the game has degraded not just in the art department(ai ),
but also plot wise the early goals and enemies seem forgotten,
or maybe they were lost in an update idk.

Keep in mind:

> they barely manage to update the game once a year
> each update getting worse in quality (ramping use of AI)
>Every three or four years, they get the idea to fully remake the game. Keeping people in some sort of infinite development loop.
>1/5th of the previously free game costs 25 dollars. Every new season will cost additional purchases (thank God for F95 ey?)

Highly recommend not playing the game or supporting the horrible business practices of the dev. If you have to, play it once and try to forget about it. You will waste your life waiting for something that will never come otherwise.

The game was great once upon a time and now there are constant remakes and backtracking. The Art and animation WAS great and now it's AI garbage, the game used to run well but now the UI is broken constantly and the game takes forever to process what to do and boot up. Something needed to happen to this game a year ago and here we still are now, there's a lot of mess ups that need correcting. FINISH the game and then remake all the art, without the AI assisted garbage and the game will be as perfect as it can possibly be.

Completely ruined the game, decided to replace the art in the game with AI making it look awful. This game used to be great, in fact it was one of the best games out there along with Summertime Saga and now one is in development hell and this turned into complete trash.

What a tragedy. One of the great ones now gone to sht. Truly saddening. First ai, then updates started to take forever and now the game in its entirety has been heavily nerfed in multiple aspects. This sucks... I sort of want to cry bc I really wanted to see this story develop for years. So much I wanted to see happen, but it all seems hopeless now.

Significantly slowed down updates to milk money from subscribers, art went to AI slop. I'd recommend spending time and money on something else, don't reward pure greedy behavior from a fucking huckster.

Very good game, you are scared of NTR, very easily avoidable, if you love it, unfortunately very little ntr content due to the two paths. the initial couple hours are very good but then i fell like the characters after that which are introduced are very dumb and are just there to drag out the game! I fell like this game should have already been finished. The new characters dont add anything new but i still really like this game!

sandboxy, not very grindy and has a built in walkthrough!

the game is good, depending on what to compare it with, I don't know why they underestimate it so much, because starting with the fact that the quests are even very interesting, there are hints of what is required of you and at what time it helps a lot in passing, there are so many parts and each character is well developed and I like how different it was 4 years ago and how the developers tried on the new parts

Didnt expect so mutch content for 1gb game. 5 star 100%. Plus rly good visual. Worth ti playing. Also have Hallowen mod and Christmas, didnt check yet but i belive its great to. Thx for your work, anw w8 new projects)

Nice game, but AI is developer’s big mistake. Early there was original drawing, ant it was just perfect. Characters and dialogues between them are funny and interesting. I really enjoyed the game, but author unnecessarily tries to elongate the plot and add new boring characters.

The story starts off slow but it gradually gets interesting, my favorite characters are Becca and Clara, I like the fact that the game gives Becca the option to keep her bush. It's a pretty long game, you can spend hours playing and not even realize it. I really like it.

this game has a really unique concept with the split personality thing going on with the main character. all the different characters and storylines make the game feel extremely lively (?) and grand. but sadly, some characters sometimes look downright ugly to look at, especially with the new AI tools used. i really like the humor used in the game, giving some comic relief between the porn scenes. the most pretty looking character in the game by far is the main love interest, and I really hope to see some more content featuring her in the future
