Here - I'll make this simpler:
I was asking raven if he thinks this will affect his work/game in a negative way.
If lostraven stated in a public chat that he thinks this affects his work or the game in a negative way, do you think there is a good chance that Uberpie would end their agreement?
... based on counts in the past where writers were stripped of creative control, it can most definitely lower product quality. And that was my question.
If lostraven stated in a public chat that he thought the process he has accepted lowers product quality, do you think there is a good chance that Uberpie would end their agreement?

Now do you see why both Stil996 and I responded to you the way we did? Lostraven is a contractee whose income is at the will of an agreement with the contractor, Uberpie. If Uberpie considers public statements by a contractee to be of negative impact on Uberpie's creation, what you do you would happen with that agreement?

Lostraven already addressed your questions before you asked:
I can't comment in depth on our working relationship,
but I will say Uber is within his right to have the game under whatever vision he wants,
at the end of the day, I'm just a hired hand so, the game, it's characters and the story direction are all his.

Didn't say anything against what you said whatsoever. I was asking raven if he thinks this will affect his work/game in a negative way. Just a personal question. I know it is Uber's right completely, but based on counts in the past where writers were stripped of creative control, it can most definitely lower product quality. And that was my question. Didn't say Uber wasn't allowed to take over all creative control on his own game. Don't necessarily get your point here.

I get your point. But both Lostraven and Uber are working as professional, they have agreement. Based on Lostraven said, we can assume he still has a chance to give an idea to Uber but needed approval. I do think Uber not completely limiting Lostraven's creavity, even though everything will go based on Uber's vision.

If i recall it uber vision is to have a more like hard maledom relationship with the girls like clara if i'm right more like slave and master with a strict mc and tamed and submissives girls ?

Oh, I love these tearful discussions of stories about bad (Uber) and good (Lostraven) policemen.
A reminder for the unlucky: they both make the same business, participate in the same story.

I don't know if the delay is justified or not, but I know that (update or not) April will be the last month I will be subscribing my 10$ tier Patreon.

As a SW developer I can say that it isn't a professional way to work. Especially when, according to lostraven declarations, the delay is due to pedantic reviews on dialogues. Well: if the program crashes, the delay is justified, otherwise you deliver the game as it is, in order to meet the due date, and THEN you release minor patches with the updated dialogues.

PS: I don't even read those endless dialogues. They are TOO many, compared to the actual game component, making TT an unbalanced game. Summertime Saga, for example, has an acceptable dialogues-game balance.

You had some valid opinions, depending upon what your view of the Patreon model is and release timing (though the current delay is supposedly because softlocking during testing, so -- there's that). That is you had validity until you got to the last sentence. For all SS does, it does not have the balance you claim it has. There could be arguments it has more or less dialogue/narrative as Taffy Tales when looking at a percentage of content - and people would have valid beliefs on either side. Maybe you just haven't played it through lately to remember - but there is a shitton of dialogue and narrative in SS.

What game component? You are comparing Apples to Oranges.
Taffy Tales right now is essentially a VN, it is completely narrative driven and linear, the dialogue is essentual to the TT model (if you play it as intended).
While Summertime Saga is a Sandbox built around a large number of repeatable events. (The story is less important, particularly if you are just replaying your favourite scenes over and over again.

I wish TT was more like STS, and hopefully in time it will be.

And though I disagree that the assumptions you are jumping too, are as certain as you seem to think, Uber could probably benefit from a Public Relations course. His poor communication skills haven't done him any favours.

It wasn't just dialogue, though there was/are issues there,
If it was just dialogue, I would have told Uber to post the build.

There were a series of softlocks that prevented me from further testing last night, as well as as some quite severe visual glitches - Areas were not accessible despite being 'unlocked,' some characters were not interactable with due to the visual glitches etc.

I have just finished the second round of testing, sent my findings to Uber, and I'll let him decide what he wants to do.

I live rent free in your head, don't I? :BootyTime:

I'm paid only for the work I produce, Tear literally just proofreads and edits, and is also only paid for what they do. Neither of us have access to the Patreon funds despite what the voices in your head say, get back on the meds, we're just freelance workers.

I actually agree with the guy about Summertime Sage having an accept dialogue ratio. For me the current reality is I can’t get into the Taffy tales story like I could before because after waiting 7 months in between updates I’m not gonna read through the dialogue. I’m just skipping so I can get to the scenes. I used to be able to take my time with it but just feels like I can’t wait anymore so now story wise I’m just lost. It’s sort of the same with summer time saga but I’m way more caught up with that. I much prefer taffy tales story and if there’s a hot scene I’ll read the dialogue. If I believe a scene will lead to a hot scene I’ll also read the dialogue but if it’s not that then I’m just skipping I.E. if it’s just Red and Clara talking or even with Sara and the drug withdrawals been there done that get to the good stuff already. This actually causes a lot of problems with questing though as usually the in game quest thing will tell you to find someone but won’t say where they’re at and I’ll be like “Oops I completely skipped their interaction and have no clue where she’s at.” so now I’m on a wild goose chase or I have to reload from my last save point however far back that may be and replay everything while making sure to read everything.
