If I had to make a guess..

It's not about how good or bad something is, but about how many people are complaining about it and/or how much influence those people can exert.

Like some others already said, there are probably other games that are just as morally questionable or more, or similarly but in a parallel way. But if those games don't have an audience and haven't attracted attention, well, do they even matter?

What do you think about the characters' ages and their appearance? What about the level of violence, and so on? How do you feel about the characters' consent when it comes to sex?
Let me say it again - there are no rules and there never have been. Steam doesn’t question these projects. It’s convenient for us to ignore this fact so we can feel more comfortable, but Steam does whatever it wants.
Don’t trust the bitter idiots who try to twist reality and explain why it’s fine for these projects but not for someone like Uber. Check for yourself.

Oh, and instead of believing Graphtreon or subscriber counts... this same moderator once said Uber lost a build and had to start over from scratch. Later, he apologized for that. He’s a good guy, but he gets a little creative. You’re ignoring my entire argument about subscriber numbers being more than double and all that.

Fine, let’s bet your honor on this - I’ll write to Subscribestar and ask if they take their commission from subscribers or from the donations to the user. I can even leave Uber out of the question if you want, but you still won’t believe me, will you?

So, if a user donates $10, how much gets taken in fees, and how much actually goes to the developer? I’ll attach their reply for proof - are you ready to publicly apologize? Deal? You’re wasting a lot of your precious time, which I’m trying to save for you.

So, do we have a bet based on your honor? If I’m wrong, I’ll also publicly apologize here for slandering and whatever else.

If you’re going to claim the screenshots are fake, you - or anyone else -are welcome to write to Subscribestar’s support yourself.

Once again, loud and clear - my position: Uber is currently making around near $17-19K per month. And then commissions, taxes, and so on get deducted from that. When a user donates $10 to Uber, somewhere between 10–30% gets taken off as fees, including something like VAT.

Deal?

P.S.I still think you’re a good guy doing a lot of great work. I just don’t understand why you’re blowing this up. But honestly, how else can we settle this once and for all?
Rules exists, otherwise why the team took a year to make a build specifically for steam?, if it didn't matter why not just make the build and do not bother making the changes?.

I have some examples of steam getting rules:

The games of winter and summer memories have shotacon, what did Kagura Games do?, they removed all the H content and even make their protagonist a blue image 1737837635840.png

If there're no rules, why do they go out their way to remove and censor their mc?

Another example are the japanese visual novels, a lot of them also go out their to remove their H content, it's the user who has to go to other sites and patch the game

There're rules?, yeah, the incosistency is on the reviewer or maybe the team uses the loophole of removing the porn from the game and leave it to the user to get it.

For one mistake the moderator no longer has any credibility?, the guy has been years with them so he should have a little bit of info

Regarding their budget we can only speculate or believe the sources, now if the development of future seasons depended on this, then the game is done for.

What was the plan B incase this happened?, there was always a risk of something like this happening, the approval system can be a mess that does not mean Uber has no responsibility here

I understand your example, why you brought it up, and I accept it. But that's a different gameplay, and it’s possible to create a “blank slate” without anything there. Here, that approach won’t work - in many scenes and even in regular conversations, there will just be a black screen, no visuals, and no text (and even the text could offend them). Plus, there’s no guarantee this will even work right now.

You’re ignoring the examples I mentioned earlier. Those are clear rule violations, but no one seems to care (and don’t get me wrong, I’m genuinely VERY happy those examples are still on the platform - it’s like a breath of fresh air). But here, the support team just felt (!!!) like it was a school or whatever. Just think about how insane that is.

Their Discord mod already confirmed they're doing better in SS than Patreon, so there's no need to speculate any longer.
Hello, Mr.Lewd here I found your comment and wanted to say I don't recall making a statement and if I have then I have forgotten, but please don't take what I say and misinform people, I would also appreciate if what I say does not get taken out of context, what I say is sometimes speculated or misinformed, so I wanted to make sure you all knew this for the future.

Relax. The man just got his ass handed to him by Steam. The original planned date was 28 Jan... Give him at least until then before starting to demand. You (and me) are just going to steal it, anyway. Patience, grasshopper.
Empathy for a guy that doesn't take into account fan criticism and milks his fans?
Even if I'm here to steal it, it doesn't matter. His supporters that pay him waited long enough.
The update's ready, he should release it. To give him the honor of releasing it on that date despite it being more than ready is being way too nice. There's literally no reason why to release it in 28 Jan

Empathy? No. But the planned release date was 28 Jan. Give the man at least that.

It's always funny how people on this site have some kind of virtue to call out that we should "think of the supporters." We're mooching off of their contributions. Without them, we'd have jack shit and people are always the first to insult the supporters for being dupes to contribute. But it's always a shifting line of virtue right?

If they got a problem with how Uberpie is doing things they have channels and means to make it known. They don't need moochers like us to be their keyboard warriors and act like their mommies and daddies worrying how they spend their lunch money.

A lot of Veruca Salts... Ain't done shit, but think they deserve everything.

Give him that? He hasn't earned it.

And wow, what an emotional argument you just have me. My supporter argument is spoken with logic, keep it logical please.

Also, irrelevant argument and emotional too. To get to the server payment is needed, I used to pay him and I won't make that mistake again.

no, it is not.

As has been stated as nauseum in this thread.

Uberpie announced Steam project before he even decided to make a Subscribestar after getting booted off Patreon.
Uberpie the made the Subscribestar account.
People then subscribed with all the info public.
They, like you, could cancel at any time they felt taken.

I don't think you understand process and logic if you refuse to follow the chain of events or admit subscribers are adults who have the right and responsibility to use their money as they so wish.

I used to pay him and I won't make that mistake again.
See, you made the decision. Nothing stops others from doing the same.

Wow, will you stop with the emotional and dismissive arguments?

You aren't addressing the core issue. While transparency about the timeline and Subscribestar is noted, it doesn’t justify delaying a ready update. Saying supporters 'knew the risks' shifts responsibility without holding the developer accountable for disrespecting their trust. The history is clear, but the real question remains—why delay unnecessarily?

I am addressing directly. You are the one being emotional by claiming you being slighted when you supposedly subscribed. You are the one being emotional by demanding something now that was/is planned for release on 28 Jan. You are the one being emotional for asking us to think of the subscribers.

You.

The planned date was 28 January. Give the team until the date that was plainly stated for nearly month.

I'm aware of Uberpie's poor estimation skills and terrible at keeping deadlines. Hell, I have dozens of posts reminding people of that in this thread.

So, again, should (if/when) he misses the 28 Jan planned release date... That's when people should start asking questions.

If you seriously want to keep him at his word... His word has been for nearly a month 28 Jan.

The planned date of January 28th doesn’t negate the frustration of delaying an update that’s already ready. If the team is aware of Uberpie’s poor track record with deadlines, that should push for earlier releases, not further delays. Waiting until January 28th might honor his word, but it doesn’t respect the trust or patience of supporters who’ve already waited long enough. Why not release it early if it's ready

some people hate the AI
some people like the AI
some people don't care either way
some think it is fine but that Uber pie doesn't put enough time into fixing AI errors (I am in this bucket of people)

If you usually like AI, you'll find it fine.
If you usually dislike AI, you won't.
If you are open to it, you'll be fine.

People have made their opinions known about it for the past two years. Search the thread for the words AI ART to read them
if you have an android 14 or 15 phone, then you'll have to wait. They haven't released anything since Android 15 came out in September 2024. As for android 14, that came out in October 2023 and they were in the middle of developing their last update at that time.
See that was more helpful, thank you.

Probably wasn't a great idea to start off your initial release with it's trailer showing one of the characters getting forcibly groped. I wonder how much changed for Clara's route too, because that started out pretty unpleasantly. Jessica's(?) birth control swap was another weird idea too. I hope that was changed, I'd be more sympathetic to Uber if so. A lot of this game's initial release featured unnecessary stuff that would've been pushing the limits and the trailer didn't make it seem like it changed much on those fronts. Who knows though.
True the grope part shouldn't been in the trailer.
