Unity - Taffy Tales [S5 v1.07.3c] [UberPie]

Excellent art and concept, needs much more updating and development of the story, if the developer invests in the game (forming a serious team, literally an office) I know this game can follow the steps of S.TimeSaga in terms of quality and revenue, opening the gate to future projects, or to continue building the Taffy Tales universe into something huge.

Initially, the game was too raw and crooked, exactly as there was almost no content.
But now the game is starting to become interesting and content appeared in it, the game is far from completion but it definitely has potential.

The MC has no redeeming qualities and the writing is too bad to support that. He's not funny, nor clever, nor handsome, nor strong, nor smart, nor charming, nor anything useful in any way ever.

Our MC is also a rapist and just a general piece of shit. While also not managing to get with the girl who is throwing herself at him.

Add on top of that all of the other characters who are insane stereotypes. The pretty rich girl is a cunt, as is the rich neighbor. The black bully is just there to cuck you. The principal abuses his power in every way he can. The 'mom' is timid and sexually repressed. Etc, etc, etc.

It's just trite, not well written, and not sexy.

This game is really good in the early game explain when you need to go, when you have to explore and to find the items for progress is not dificult so i really like this game 10/10 the art, the story and the the game indeed too.

Android version dead ends with 0 sexual content, and nothing to tell you that there's nothing left to do. Just a couple nude scenes, and a lot of MC jacking off. Not worth the time and frustration IMO. I like the art, but I would never pay money for this. I'll check back next year.

Great game currently tied with the manor for most anticipated game. Its got decent dialog almost bordering on too wordy. Like one notch up in the dialog and it would read like a damn romance novel. Excellent art, solid plot progression. MC is a super beta male with a more fun split personality who takes him down a path of corruption. Very excited for more content with the mom.

The biggest problem with this developer is precisely this he wants to please all fetishes but does not know how to develop a good story with different paths that lead to these fetishes for me he should abandon this project and pursue another with the same art but with a decent writer and coder...

So many characters, another nuclear affected protagonist. Actually wish more games will take this art style over the reused 3d characters in other VNs. love the art style.. tho the incest and OP boobs could have been reduced a litter..

What is good? Visuals/art of whole game. What is wrong: PLOT! MC is a wimp which got a little devil inside him after getting run over by a car.. he is trying to suppress it and force it to behave which does not help him in any way couse it limits him to his wimpy big dicked self... One thing is certain, if our protag does not straight up pummel the shit out of this Black dude I will never play this shit. I am almost certain that he is switching tests with our MC, thats why he has good grades even if he does not work at all. French teacher is bimbo witch which like to play dom with our girly classmate. Girls suck dick of our principal. Sis is forced to obey our antagonist. Most likely blackmail. He fucked cashier in a stor. Ass raped girl besides garbage bin, most likely gangbang.

I need our protag to change and fast, otherwise this shit is for those which like to feel helpless and angry without any way to vent it.. this shit is for masochists so far. Do not recommend to those which are forced to see their loved ones raped or fucked with their own eyes, yet forced to see and not act in any way.. Its damn good NTR game or bad, its your choice. I don't like shit like that.

I think it is mostly unfair to review the 0.1 versions of games, seeing how they usually are nothing more than proofs of concept. But since 'Taffy Tales' is now on version 0.2, it's fair game.

The art is attractive, kind of a mix of Brozeks and the artist Incase. The gameplay is woefully generic, a shameless summertime saga clone. Not to give summertime saga undue credit for inventing the concepts, but seeing how SS is the biggest earner on patreon any game this similar will have to suffer the comparison. With good art and serviceable, if bland, game mechanics, what could go wrong?

What's wrong is the story, writing, and progression are awful. Everyone on this site has gotten used to those particular Russian to English mistranslations, so there's no need to complain about them. (Take your bones and leave? What the hell does that even mean?) No, what's awful is the plot. We're on the second version of the game and more than half of the content involves the "black bully." (The Runglish literally calls him that as though it's a common schoolyard title, like nerd or jock.) All of it sounds like it is written by a Russian that hasn't been within 300 miles of a black man and is just cobbling together stereotypes from cuckold porn. In theory a game like this needs an antagonist, someone to "win" against. But the way this is all written comes off cringey and distracting.

This much focus on racist stereotypes (that the devs clearly don't even understand) and the need to drag out the "bullied beta MC (that is retardedly self conscious about his footlong schlong)" phase of the game makes the entire experience insulting. Yes, we all know the MC will give into his newfound evil side and will eventually be fucking everything in the game, perhaps even the black guy and the dog. But the plot eventually getting somewhere interesting (if deeply predictable) can't save version 0.2 from being a mess. I'd say check back in a few more versions, but I have a feeling this dev is going to milk this content for all its worth.

Give this one a pass and play something less insulting to you and your time.

Going straight to the point no need for a long wall of text. Good game in fact great game nice story so far nice dialogue the story is looking great it has a nice flow nothing is forced or seem fake everything feels natural got a bit of comedy good scenes and great characters.

The game is still in a very early stage at this point (0.02A), but the premise looks good so far. Well, apart from the main character being a weak loser. I personally like myself some good dom/sub themes, and it looks like this game will deliver. Just not expecting the MC to do so, but I have high hopes for the Darnell and Prinipal characters.

For anyone who feels compulsed to self-insert as the MC and dislikes NTR/cucking themes, beware. The dev basically goes out of their way to make it clear that the people close to the main character will be/already are being dominated by others. And that the MC has little capacity to do anything about it. This may change, but I would not bet on it.

The art is good in its own way. Different to the common anime style and certainly better than 3D renders. The engine looks OK as well. The textboxes are sometimes confusing, because there is no differentiation made between direct speach, thoughts and if thoughts of others are actually real or something the MC makes up.

Giving 5 stars for the current version, because I dont see a reason not to. The promised fetishes (apart from cucking) are right up my alley, and the cucking is something I can tolerate as long as the game doesnt make me like the MC and then drives him into despair. That hasnt happened, he is weak and incapable from the start.

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs...

(03/14/2018 - Original Review - v0.01b)

Not much to do yet in this game, as it is pretty much an empty shell for the moment with a brief introduction...

The visuals of the characters are 2D hand drawn, with an almost Disney style... Same with the backdrops... The French teacher's breasts look a bit out of place, coming straight out of her bottom rib cage, rather then drooping down from a proper location... And it looks like the author's are into big breast fetish, because even the female students shown, have super large breasts, larger then their body frames would normally suggest... Another turn off was the phantom hands during the attempted rape scene... Phantom any body parts always looks dumb in my book...

The script is ok, with some spelling/grammar errors here and there... The plot (what little there is) revolves around a male protagonist who easily gets picked on in class, but ends up saving a girl from being raped in the girls locker room... He is then chased down the street and ran over by a woman driving a car... What I find a bit out of place is that technically what she did was illegal, leaving the scene of an accident, and yet she claims she'll send him a bill for the damage to her car before speeding away... Gotta love those really far fetched moments in some of these types of games...

When the protagonist returns home it appears as though he either has split personality disorder now, or his inner devil is now able to directly communicate with him... From that moment, the content ends... The game play styles seems to be going with an adventure game style with lots of clickable things for both navigation as well as interaction... But almost everything shows as under construction... The navigation map is the same way with most locations...

Overall, It looks like it plans to be a tongue-in-cheek based game with cartoony visuals and lots of different fetishes it plans to cater to... From what folks keep saying, it sounds like it may have NTR in it, but not really sure yet... It's extremely early into development, so there really is not telling for now what it will include... But I'm really hoping it doesn't go overboard with a bunch of extreme fetishes and NTR and all the other stuff that will just put the game into the niche category... It shows a tiny bit of promise for the moment, but I don't know how I'll really feel about it, until it gets some more meat on it's bones... Will i revisit it? Maybe, but only time will tell...

(03/19/2018 - Review Update - v0.02a)

Ok, the new content very much screams NTR and several other things I'll go over... Plus there are some bugs with how they are presented, like morning events happening before you make the protagonist even go to bed at night, or afternoon events happening in the morning... There are also some spelling/grammar errors in the new content...

There seems to be an on going theme with the school/town bully... He seems to treat absolutely everyone badly and for some reason has influence over many different characters... You can also tell that the new content is pretty much hinting that he is either forcing sex on a bunch of women in the game, or just having sex with a majority of them... The protagonist is such a wimp as well, every time he encounters the bully... The bully also seems to be controlling the protagonists sister, somehow has control over the French teacher, tried to rape the protagonists female friend in the first version, most likely had anal sex with the girl found near the race track, and I think is having sex with the cashier at the shop... The bully even tries to go at the protagonists mother, who almost seems like she's almost turned on by his comments... The new content just screams out that NTR will most likely take place in this VN/Game... The new content even hints at a student possibly giving the principle a BJ while the protagonist is in his office, just look at the principles face and the fact of the obvious female student backpack...

And although the visuals try to portray a tongue in cheek VN/Game, the story doesn't have any humor at all so far... The new content mostly just involves a lot of stuff revolving around the bully, who not even the older adults seem to want to stand up to... Such an over the top story so far... The immersion is just not there... Will I revisit this one again? With the NTR hinting and how much I'm hating the bully character, which got me a bit angry, which I should never feel in a VN/Game, I will most likely never retry this one... The visuals just can not make up for everything else...
