I have the other hotfix, I'll play it tomorrow because I'm tired - it's late, and I've not long come back from a Cardio class.

As for some of the questions et al:
- I don't know what will make the final cut of an update till I have the beta and play it for myself, the most I see is the occasional file of images with some text that needs modifying or something.
- I want to add Chantelle content, but I've become frustrated writing her script, and given Uber now has me go get pre-approval of what scripts I will write in an outline before I do so, it's highly likely her script will be shit-canned and I will need to rewrite from scratch or it will need to be heavily modified.
- I try to answer questions when I can, but sometimes, I literally just forget to reply to people.
- I do the writing I'm told to do, I have some leeway, but my position now is more relegated to writing TT in Uberpie's vision.

Jesus, for all that I am an asshole that hates it when devs seem to draw development time unnecessarily (justified or not), you have my condolences. Maybe it's a one time event but Uber doesn't seem to treat you with any common courtesy? Hopefully I am mistaken and your gain more enjoyment out of writing for this game that this comment seems to imply.

You seem like a good guy and your outreach to this community is appreciated. For all that thank you.

I can't comment in depth on our working relationship,
but I will say Uber is within his right to have the game under whatever vision he wants,
at the end of the day, I'm just a hired hand so, the game, it's characters and the story direction are all his.

Would you say writing in his vision instead of yours would hurt your writing much? Because I have thoroughly enjoyed your writing and the game's writing so far, definitely one of the best on this site, but it is worrisome if you as a writer aren't given creative control.

Interesting assumptions there bud, for all you know the parts you loved could have been Ubers, or have you been reading the drafts that still have the notes attatched?
No offense to lostraven, I'm sure all the best bits are written by him, seeing as he is the pro writer, but there is no way I could know for sure.

That's why I said the game's writing as well. Just wondering if there will be any drop off as many shows and creative pieces start to deter when writers do not get any creative control.

I'm not in a position to argue, I have no first hand knowledge about the creative process in this game. I was just commenting about the assumption you seem to be jumping to, your logic seems flawed to me, you like the game as it is, but you want creative control to switch from Uber to Raven?

I'm going to make this my last post on this point, as I said at the beginning of this post, I'm not in a position of knowledge, I probably should have kept my mouth shut lol.

I'm not saying give raven all creative power. What raven has been saying as instead of letting him write as he had in previous version, he now writes the scene out exactly as uber tells him. Or at least that's what I've understood from what he says. I really liked the writing so far, but to put a writer in a position where he feels he has no creative control when he used to is never great to the production of a product.

You know, it feels like you're writing without thinking first.
It's Uber's game and he decides the story arc of the game.
Uber, as the contractor, pays Lostraven, the contractee, to write content based upon whatever story arc (or whim that day) he desires.
There's many reasons why there may appear to have been a change from v0.47.5 and before.
Whatever the reasons are, in reality, Lostraven doesn't appear to have the liberty to say while he continues his work with Uber.
Contractees can make suggestions and pitches, but contractors have final say on direction and development.
That's pretty standard in a contractor/contractee relationship, even in a creative industry.

Didn't say anything against what you said whatsoever. I was asking raven if he thinks this will affect his work/game in a negative way. Just a personal question. I know it is Uber's right completely, but based on counts in the past where writers were stripped of creative control, it can most definitely lower product quality. And that was my question. Didn't say Uber wasn't allowed to take over all creative control on his own game. Don't necessarily get your point here.

Here - I'll make this simpler:
I was asking raven if he thinks this will affect his work/game in a negative way.
If lostraven stated in a public chat that he thinks this affects his work or the game in a negative way, do you think there is a good chance that Uberpie would end their agreement?
... based on counts in the past where writers were stripped of creative control, it can most definitely lower product quality. And that was my question.
If lostraven stated in a public chat that he thought the process he has accepted lowers product quality, do you think there is a good chance that Uberpie would end their agreement?

Now do you see why both Stil996 and I responded to you the way we did? Lostraven is a contractee whose income is at the will of an agreement with the contractor, Uberpie. If Uberpie considers public statements by a contractee to be of negative impact on Uberpie's creation, what you do you would happen with that agreement?

Lostraven already addressed your questions before you asked:

I get your point. But both Lostraven and Uber are working as professional, they have agreement. Based on Lostraven said, we can assume he still has a chance to give an idea to Uber but needed approval. I do think Uber not completely limiting Lostraven's creavity, even though everything will go based on Uber's vision.

Oh, I love these tearful discussions of stories about bad (Uber) and good (Lostraven) policemen.
A reminder for the unlucky: they both make the same business, participate in the same story.
See soon on the screens of the country:

Summer is coming ...

I don't know if the delay is justified or not, but I know that (update or not) April will be the last month I will be subscribing my 10$ tier Patreon.

As a SW developer I can say that it isn't a professional way to work. Especially when, according to lostraven declarations, the delay is due to pedantic reviews on dialogues. Well: if the program crashes, the delay is justified, otherwise you deliver the game as it is, in order to meet the due date, and THEN you release minor patches with the updated dialogues.

PS: I don't even read those endless dialogues. They are TOO many, compared to the actual game component, making TT an unbalanced game. Summertime Saga, for example, has an acceptable dialogues-game balance.

You had some valid opinions, depending upon what your view of the Patreon model is and release timing (though the current delay is supposedly because softlocking during testing, so -- there's that). That is you had validity until you got to the last sentence. For all SS does, it does not have the balance you claim it has. There could be arguments it has more or less dialogue/narrative as Taffy Tales when looking at a percentage of content - and people would have valid beliefs on either side. Maybe you just haven't played it through lately to remember - but there is a shitton of dialogue and narrative in SS.
