I get it.

As you can see, everyone (Including me) is looking forward to it. I agree that some specific tags would make it much easier.

However, F95Zone is pretty big, and for everyone involved it's a hobby. Only recently they solved the Discord issue they had, quality takes time. I am sure they have to test and make sure everything is working flawlessly before they release anything big.

Creating these threads won't help.

I'm sort of ambivalent at this point ...

He is not only coding that but also maintains F95. We got a huge surge of (active) people that got the attachment servers on life support twice in the last month, and had a reverse proxy issue not that long ago. Everyone something else happens, that will be too prio, and will set other stuff back.
The new tag system will be released with a complete we’ll almost overhaul of the site. Basically F95 3.0. It’s not only tags, and it can’t be only tags, because atm the tag limit is 50 we literally can’t add more than that so only the tags added won’t work.


On a personal note fuck the new tags. I don’t want em.

Thanks for your reply, but I'm already aware of the list. Maybe I didn't express myself well. (this is probably the reason because my English is not very good) The new tag work doesn't seem to be finished in a short time, so it might be useful if at least some important tags are added to the site until 99% of the project is finished. That's what I meant.

Sorry that was my bad, I misunderstood.

It's not stupid.

I think it's just a case of members feeling strongly about the tags they like and dislike, so choosing which tags to add and how many before the update could cause problems.

One of the other options (although it's a bit of extra work), would be to use the list threads in recommendations. Some of those are very detailed and can be used for cross-referencing.

Of course, there’s always that risk. Still, I think a few tags could solve a lot of issues. For example, just having netorase and netori tags would prevent many arguments, since whenever a game has a netorare tag, people keep asking what kind of NTR it includes.

2. Average zonies cares about the definition of tags;
3. Average zonies read the tags;

By “arguing,” I don’t mean fighting. You can see questions like “Is it netorase or netori?” under almost every game title that has a netorare tag. And if we’re talking about a popular game, there are dozens of such questions. In fact, many people seem to sign up on the site just to ask this exact question. Of course, things would be much better if people actually used the search function, but they seem too lazy to do that. Even if only the netori and netorase tags were added to the site, dozens of unnecessary questions would be gone for good.

I don’t think anyone would still ask “what kind of NTR does this game have?” when the main title already includes the netorase/netori tags. Or maybe I just don’t want to believe it.

To be honest, I actually enjoy these kinds of messages. It’s become a part of the forum culture.
