...I had to restart from scratch because translator++ translated the script files... at least I was not fully done with it...

Good luck! However it turns out, I hope it's a useful learning experience.
So far I learned: The initial mtl translation in translator++ are incorrect 90% of the time and manually putting text into google translate produces a much better result. Also there is a few cases where googling a word will give you a better idea what it means than simply translating it + you gain some pretty good trivia and sometimes cultural insight.

Edit: also the biggest challenge is not the translation, but how boring the process is.

Also there might be a few items that has the wrong name/description, because of potential dev/translater toll oversight.
There might also be a possibility that the wrong skill is named in the description.

Edit: I also managed to translate about 50% of all text that is visible for the players.

Given his other games, I'd expect a lot of puns and jokes, which are always some of the hardest things to translate. I commend you for taking on this difficult task!

Can't promise that I find all the puns/jokes tough, but once I can fluently read japanease I will revisit the translation. Unleast some one (like otakues plan) picks this game up.

Edit: also almost done with all H scenes, on an unrelated note I'm fucking dying from the heat...

Given it's age, I would be very surprised if anyone official picked it up at this late date, but you never know I suppose. And if you come back and improve it later, I'll have a lovely excuse to play it again later.

I played Taimamiko Yuugi first with it's original very bad translation, and it's charm and good writing shone through even through the terrible MTL that it got saddled with. Playing it again with the better translation years later was a joy. And I'm sure whatever you produce will be better than the terrible MTL of the past.

Taimamiko Yuugi was also the first game I played from the series, but that time it already had the better translation.

also The resurrected exorcist shrine maiden (on steam its:Taima miko) is getting a translation.

And about my progress: all items/armors and only 10 h scenes left before translating dialogs for the maps/events

Yeah, I am super looking forward to The Resurrected exorcist shrine maiden getting a translation. I had almost reach the point of just throwing it in mtool and using the MTL, when word dropped an official translation was coming. Hopefully they do a good job.

And thank you for doing editing for the rest of us and turning the poetry into something better.

By the way do you know/have a link to some place were I can trouble shoot translator++ because when I inject the translations won't apply...

Found a solution... after I did an batch translate the translation file fucked itself and refused to show the edits I made...
BUT after creating a new file and exporting the translation it just work...
I'm so back.

1. some text is repeated in the game files so the question comes up: which one is the used one or the unused one?
2. an entire file is duplicated (for some reason).
3. skill text (ones in combat) I'm very tempted (for now) to leave it mtl translated

Also any one want's too test out the partial translation or should I only upload once its done?

Only boss defeat and a few maps remain... but there might be problems related to font size... to simply put the text might be to large to fit even with text wrap... anyone with experience with changing font settings in rpg maker is welcome to help.

It's been a while but basically, assuming you've got RPGMakerVXAce on hand and have unpacked/deprotected the game.rgss3a file:
1. If the letter size specifically is the issue you can adjust that according to the info in this . Note if you're unfamiliar with RPGMakerVXAce that you can search a selected script in the editor with ctrl+f, however if you don't know which script you need to search you can also search them all with ctrl+shift+f
2. If the letters are of adequate size then you need to start thinking about text wrapping since RPGMaker won't just do it by default. The editor does provides arrow guides to help you with this, but assumes default font and size usage as explained in this . If you've changed the font and/or size you need to manually check how many letters can fit inside the textbox and consider adding line brakes if a message is longer then that with:

A long time ago translator++ also had the option to split long messages into multiple messages so they don't overflow the message box, but it was extremely buggy and prone to corrupting the translation file, so I don't know if it even still has that option.
3. ! There is also an exotic issue discovered right here on f95 by other users and myself regarding runoff text in some games that have RTP requirements.

You specifically need VXAce for this game, you can tell by the game.rgss3a file next to the executable. If it was .rgss2a it would be VX, if it was .rgss it would be XP.
You can also tell by the icon of the executable if the devs didn't change it from the default. A red dragon is for VXAce, grey dragon is for VX and if I recall a sun/orb is for XP.
Assuming you don't wanna deal with scetchy sites, I'm pretty sure you should be able to open up this game in the just fine.
Also fun fact, every year during the RPGMaker fest on steam they drop the price to 0, aka free, so if you claim it during the event you get to keep it forever. , while last year I believe it was XP.

The translation is done. Now only text wrapping, redoing a few* lines and having someone with RPGmakerVXAce to do something
with lines that does not fit in the textbox.
