Ren'Py - Take Over [v0.71] [Studio Dystopia]

This game was so good I had to stop being a lurker just to write this. Updates have been coming out a lot more frequently with high quality content compared to other games. Has an intriguing story with lots of potential. One of the times where i looked at porn for the plot.

One of my favorite to watch and play. Started small as a corruption sim, but is really branching out into some unique and interesting gameplay. Lots of opportunities for fun with the ladies, but also entertaining on its own.

A fantastic game, well written with an incredible amount of potential for future updates. I can only imagine how good 1.0 will be, considering how good the current version (0.7) is. I will be keeping a close eye on this one for sure.

Coming back to this after several updates, really happy with the way the game is expanding. Can't wait for the gene mods to all be working. The expanding management tasks are a little frustrating in v0.7, as we don't yet have access to all the characters, but the promise is there.

I really love where this is going! Honestly, the sex scenes may be the least interesting part of this game. I hope to see some animations in the future (voice acting not necessary!), and the incorporation of sexual espionage, a la Mata Hari. In today's culture of fluid sexuality, that could be a really broad subject. I hope there will be a possibility to reconcile with Emma, even if one chooses to ally with Vera. Anywho, i just wanted to say that i really love this game, and hope to see updates soon!

Looks good. But once i tried it out, there was alot of issues that went wrong.
First was the incest patch, it crashed the game continuously.
Second was before installing the patch, the game still crashed many times.
Lastly, this caused me to give up on it until there are more updates or at least a fix patch; once i got the game to work, the incest patch didnt work at all.

The beginning of the game makes it uninteresting to care for since you don't feel the in game world despite the explanation of the world that the mc is in. The world construction, story tension and play choices are very lacking. Presently the character models isn't bad, but not great either. The developer improves in every new version, except for how the story is being told. If the game can keep being refined making a world more immersive while a better story plot or script to bring the tension up, the sex would be secondary. For now it's more or less just a grinding quickie. I just hope the developer knows that the story development is more important in this work since the models now are not a cut above other vn of this nature. We'll know whether to keep or ditch in about v0.8 or so.

Good amount of actual enjoyable content.

Feel like a strong effort went into cohesive visuals and I appreciate that. Writing voice is literate and well presented with only a couple slips into cellphone-speak. None of the characters irritated me too much although a couple were meta-begging for personality 'fixes'/corruption. Kinks were relevant to my interest. Yay harem with interplay rather than bunch-of-isolated-girls-getting-fucked-on-the-same-bed.

Some bits could use better tutorialization. A bit of experimenting with camera focus / shot composition to keep the interesting parts of renders from being covered by the Ren'py dialog box would go a long way. Corruption ramp-up seems a bit... stair-steppish? One night a character's acting weird if complimented in passing, next night they're sucking the MC's wang like it's the Snorkel of Salvation.

Hope that both approaches to Vera's Conundrum will actually be developed and not turn into "One right choice, One extremely long nonstandard Game Over."
Hope the BBW gets a THICC GIRL option and not just the box-standard hyperBarbie.

My opinion may have been unfairly biased by the presence of an enjoyable M/FF+ event. Game is not Perfect 5-Star Perfect but certainly made my Watch list.

It starts out like Lab Rats but I find it way better written and it shows the framework for way more interesting stuff later on. Maybe a bit too much actually. Not sure if everything will be implemented. Still, even right now (v0.5) it has quite a decent amount of content.

Look, I could probably nitpick some more stuff but overall it's a good game.

Very well made, the models look great and the scenes are just nice too look at. It's one of the few games that progress a bit too fast for me. But as it is many of the bigger games get overly complicated and drag way too long, which gets in the way of my fun.

In general i like this kind of game, it's fast paced and the story is well there is a story. Not the worst ever but who cares anyway, it's simple it makes some sense and i don't have to click through tons of text. That's why i give it 5/5

I sincerely enjoyed the game. It basically evolves around the main character which lives in a world which is controlled by the government and which tries to brainwash their citizens into, well 'perfect citizens'. You as a character happened to find this medication and basically corrupt everyone around you into doing whatever you want.

I liked the working and corruption system and I actually did enjoy the story as it has some creativity to it. The images are nice as well and for the Calcutta coding it seems alright to me. The only thing i could complain about is that the game isn't devolved as fast as i hoped and that you cant use your old saves(or at least i couldn't)

Good game with a lot of choices already, well developed corruption system & good writing, good quality English with few typos. Needs more content but for an early release this is already a very good game!

I like the characters so far, they all have personalities which are rather unique so far, and I like that they stay different even when you corrupt them, it's better than some games where everyone's personality essentially becomes "i like sex, i like MC" which can be boring after a while.

I'll give it a harsher rating if in 2-3 updates there is no improvement in graphics, because right now they are pretty basic and you go through many sex scenes where there are 4-5 images for 20+ lines of dialogue, and many times you will have 4-5 lines in a scene that haven't got an image, but I think the reason for this is that the creator is trying to pump out enough story & content options to attract more interest before he goes all out on the graphics... models ain't free! The writing is good enough that I actually still enjoyed these parts if the scene was something I was into, despite the lack of ahem... "visual aides".

For a game that is just beginning we have a good amount of content here, thats nice. The characters desing are pleasant and the plot is actually developed without rushing things or taking it too slowly, the same can be said about the characters "transformations". With this last update we also got a solid idea where the game will take us and its quite interesting. So all in all its a nice surprise of a solid game with a good balance between progression and grinding without rushing things to end up with a bare bones plot and characters and also without been too grindy where you just lose interest. It got my support. Hope more people support it and lets see where it will go next.

A nice premise. Although some bug fixes have to be done the story is engaging, as are the game mechanics.
The game mechanics balance and story is good. The reward system is good and the frustrating story elements are working well so that one wants to continue to play until the end.

Story reminds a bit of Lab rats 1 but that is a plus in my book.
There is a management portion to the game, nothing overly complex but it adds to the story very well and it promises good things for future releases.

Wow! This is amazing, Nice re-use of backgrounds, great story, writing, and renders. Played it for an hour and I am not sure I hit all the content. Sexy-time renders and dialogue are good. A fun gameplay dynamic that while clearly a Lab Rats derivative in it's corruption mechanic the story-driven narrative is better.

Like the preminence of the mind control outlook, the possibility of havin a non incest game (too many of them these times), the relative originality of the setting.

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v0.1...

This visual novel/game feels a bit like a re-skinned/reworked version of the Lab Rats visual novel/game... Plus I think at one time it was being structured around a Family Sex theme but was changes with just some word replacements to be non-Family Sex themed... There is supposedly a non-official patch to add it back in, but I don't see a reason to use a 3rd party patch, and prefer to see the developers obvious redeveloped direction for the game...

The visuals of the characters are alright for some and decent for others... The room-mate looks a bit like a doll, and the boss looks a bit young for her position, while the landlady looks perfectly alright... During the erotic story moments, there is literally nothing erotic about the visuals... During the HJ scenes, you just see fully clothed women, sort of looking like they might be holding on to the protagonists penis, but they are not holding on to anything... This whole VN's visuals so far, are very PG, with only the list of sexual/erotic favors showing any sign of adult/erotic content...

The script is decent, with only some occasional spelling/grammar errors... The plot revolves around a male protagonist who lives with 2 women... He used to be a high ranking scientist until he was demoted due to differences of opinion with his former scientist bosses, and now works in a local research laboratory as a janitor under a mean and strict female boss... He discovers the lab is working on a mood altering drug, and decides to do the research for his own purposes and ensure the lab never succeeds with their research for the corrupt government...

From that point the game becomes a daily grind game play style... Working, researching, making his own mind altering drugs, corrupting the women in his home and at work, taking advantage of them, and so on... Some things he does creates Suspicion, which if it reaches capacity the game will end... But working and other activities lowers it... Some random events may also raise and lower it as well... The relationship stats for all the characters are completely hidden as far as I could tell, which is surprising since everything else shows on the user interface... The protagonist can also spy on personal things like diaries, computers, and so forth... But that mostly is to get a sense of how far the corruption is coming along, since the stats are hidden...

The game feels like it's more or less a re-skinned version of Lab Rats with a different backstory and so on... Even when getting the women to drink the concoctions, the words the protagonist uses to get around the nasty taste they experience seems extremely similar to what happens in Lab Rats, when doing the exact same thing... But in the case of this VN/Game, it feels a bit more thrown together, with little to no originality... It's almost the same game with a different story, and with visuals that do not always go hand-in-hand with the situation...

There was also a moment when the Landlady referred to the protagonist as MC instead of by his name, which kills the immersion for that moment...

Overall, I'm not really impressed with this VN/Game so far as it really is more game then visual novel, and focuses on pretty much grinding and stat management so as to not get a premature game end... It is pretty much looking like it's building to be just a grind style porn fest... Yet, the visuals for the supposed erotic scenes do not look erotic, and feel very static and dry... The game play mechanics seem to be in place alright, but I've already been through this practically same exact game play style already, with more mature and complete games using the exact same style of corruption... The backstory is unique, and some of the small amounts of interlaced story seems alright, but it still needs a lot of work, even for the current content, if it wants to really succeed...

Now, this game is obviously still early into it's production, and you do run into a content wall after a short amount of game play... Will I revisit this one? Maybe, but it needs to work out some of it's issues and put a bit more effort into the visuals for the current content before moving on to further content... And perhaps add some more creative nuances to the game play style that will separate it more from it's competition, that uses the same serum research and production in order to corrupt women system, that is so exactly similar at the moment...

Models are okay but far from good. Seems like base assets untouchted.

Story start well and is intresting. But fall short very fast. And lack relevance really fast.

Music is unfitting and is a loop of 30/40secondes that repeat though out the game i suggest mutting it.

Sexual content is pretty bad imho. The content is only womens taking poses that suggest what is going on.

The grind is okay you can make steady progress every 2 days at most once you figure how the dev want you to play.

If the dev ever read this forum review i got a couple of suggestions:
Change the music choice and pick something more fitting and put variety.

Add asap side characters and random events
The game feel really empty and you just grind to the next milestone for the next "content" Weekends are especially boring.

Make the story you put effort in building up at the start more relevant though out the game. So far it just seems like an excuse even tho it could be an amazing story line.

Props on putting at least a initial version that actually got content and gameplay element almost all there.
Anybody playing it right now will get a good idea of what the game is or will be.
This build took me around 1hour to complete entirely. It was mainly because of the grind.

ok played around with it :

- Bad story telling , incest patch doesnot work
- No clue what to do , it is just not working for me
- Graphics are nice , but pointles.. Most is just text with the girl on the right.. The closeups do not even look erotic.. The cock is missing , no animations and the zooming in is totally off , you do not see anything.. Also if I want to read in the text what is happening , I would be playing text adventures

So what would I need :

- Incest patch working
- More an idea what to do
- Better more revealing images with more content . (show the cock , trust me , we have seen those before)
- Maybe animations would nice..
- Less text more action Visual Action

I will come back to this when it has more content
