VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Tales From The Under-Realm: Hazel [1.0.4] [Winter Wolves]

An interesting story. Mostly Vanilla story. With the action at the end. Choice game where there are a few endings, but there are also information on other path so is not just the ending that gives the story, but the ending gives the action.

Memorable, heartwarming experience. The storyline is lovingly crafted, to the point where I actually played through it all at once (one of the endings, anyway). If you're looking for a VN with a good love story between women that will keep you engaged, this is it.

What this game doesn't have, however, is porn. Well, it does, I guess, as part of route endings. But, like, we're talking single pictures with sex dialogue that could be aired on network television. This is not a game to play to get off, unless you get off to like... love and shit. Explicit content could be removed and the game wouldn't be any worse without it (would likely even be better).

I am going to share my personal experience with the game discussing the ending so be warned of major spoilers.

I must confess i only did one ending which the game tells me amounts to 42% of text the game has to offer but let me tell you that this ending completely and utterly blew me away and i have no intention to go back and try other endings since that was basically a dream come true. I totally tried this game out for the explicit yuri scenes but 300% stayed for the story. My ending was apparently a special one that probably resulted by having max affinity with both characters which wasn't my absolute focus but my choices organically led me to it and i ended up with Tori and chose to befriend Sasha. Sasha, a very strong character in her own right with some interesting beliefs would be my choice in the overwhelming majority of games with options but in this case Tori comes on top for me as a romantic interest. She is in my opinion a truly unique and unforgettable heroine.

The game totally fools you into believing that you will be eventually betrayed and be murdered by one of the characters(at least in my playthrough) so you can't help but question their motives but let me tell you the result of trusting in the both of them, led to one of the most rewarding experiences i had in a game. Not everyone will make the same choices as me so experiences will vary for sure but the end result i got was something really precious and a light of hope in an otherwise fucked up world. Even if my choices had led to my, or Hazel's if you prefer, demise, i still wouldn't change them but it looks like some god decided(might be the writer) that death wasn't what was deserved, but instead, a happily ever after.

This was a very interesting story. More than I thought it would be and it has several paths and endings, but it's very tame compared to the depravity that we are used to in here, so adjust your expectations.

I thought I'll find another generic yuri novel but turned out it is really good dramma. There are only few lewd pics, so if youre here only for that, you wouldnt like it. Otherwise - totally recomended.
