I guess a better way to describe it is that it really stood out among the rest of the music. Listening to it again it actually sounds okay, just out of what used to be mostly ambient music this one particular used a different instrument set compared to the rest. It's also balanced louder than the others.
I managed to scour a copy of v0.2.xx.xx from an old computer, and definitely after hearing it the soundtrack has improved both in variety and sound. Don't remember if it was the case before but it's great that every encounter now has a completely unique theme with a noticeable motif for each.
Outpost in the second location lets you drive back to the first town which will cost money and food. You can then take a carriage back.
Town Portal scroll also lets you teleport to the first town, it can be bought in second town. You can also get unlimited portals back to the first town, but it requires finishing a very annoying quest with a lot of hanging towns.
You can't really travel to mailbox fast. But can return back with the scroll.
NOTE: We've updated the Java version, so for desktop versions you'll need to extract into a clean install directory this month. The save files and preferences is all saved separately, so you can always delete your current ToA directory and replace it, but if you merge the files it may not work!
Hazooo! New monthly update just dropped, and it's a good'un!
We've got some new fun weapon enchants that scale with Magic - Lifeblood, which gets health from Bleed, Fire Enchant, which adds Fire damage, and Cold Enchant, which adds Cold damage. We've also made it so that in story mode you can select particular encounters. There's now companion chatter for the other three companions - Urka, Alma, and the Dullahan's head. And we've finally had the opportunity (thanks to a lwjgl3 update) to make it so that changing your audio device will be picked up by the game, rather than requiring a restart - this required us to update the Java version as well, so we're now on the most recent stable Java version.
We've separated out Combat and Sex skills to make it easier to understand the stances - there'll be changes to how these respective skills are upgraded, as well.
And when you launch the game, you might immediately notice that the title screen's a little different... and it also tracks to your in-game time of day.
In terms of new erotic content, we've got the Jester Doggy-style art animated, as well as the Dullahan face close-ups; we've added Centaur Cowgirl art (seen on the Dropbox link posts) and the Catgirl Pronebone art, which we're really proud of. There's a new story mode encounter with the Tentacle Witch, new Demon King scenes, new Centaur scenes, expanded Catgirl scenes (that pronebone one is... something - in her encounter in adventure mode, go on a date with her and when the time comes and she asks you what about her you like, hit "more" and then select... well, should be obvious, then.)
We've also added a new background and new music for the Tentacle Witch in and out of battle! And there's some nice QoL tweaks and fixes, as well.
We had some difficulty in the AI design, so I drafted up the whole AI devlog, only to not post it... we should get a chance to circle back to it soon, though, and when we've finalized the design we'll drop the post.
We're going to be doing a bunch of new feature work in this month along with the usual pace of content, so hopefully look forward to that. And, also, hopefully enjoy the cooler weather for the northern hemisphere folks!
