No, that'll be patron-only, and then mostly for the upper tiers at first. I know some devs carve out their releases on Itch so you have to buy each one individually (like paying separately for every Chapter of a VN), but we're not doing that. The game is pretty cheap now because it's still limited and without a lot of content, so the price will go up as we release more builds. But regardless of when you buy, you always get all updates for 'free' after that point. Basically like Early Access on Steam.

'Sup everybody, I was away on a business trip that took me out of the country for the past 3 weeks, so I didn't post anything... I just got back and I'm still massively jetlagged, lol. Our lead artist kept working, and she finished the last batch of lewds while I was away! The test-build is ready and we'll be releasing a limited beta for high-tier patrons this week, probably around Fri/Sat or thereabouts.

Thanks! There's a detailed foot-fetish scene with Meredith, featuring pics like the one I posted above. She wears a bodystocking and teases you with her feet throughout the encounter before letting you cum, it leans heavily towards femdom... But it's optional, so someone who's not into that can easily skip it if they want... we always try to add a choice because forcing any fetish on the player is just bad design. Hopefully you'll like the scene, I had fun writing it!

It's currently locked at $100 for our most generous supporters as an early-access reward, but we'll be gradually unlocking it Tier by Tier over the coming days...

This is a systems beta - it's got most of the 'game-y' content, except for the lewds; we opted to save the sex scenes for the final release, once we're sure all the bugs have been ironed out. It's taken us quite a while to get to this point, and we need to save something for the final push when we upload the full build with 100% of the content and start our social media blitz. Lewds also tend to shift focus away from things like bug-hunting, so that influenced our decision as well.

Regardless, all the art is finished, both regular and adult (you'll have seen as much if you've been following this thread over the past few months). We'll take the next 2-3 weeks to gather feedback and fix any remaining quest and system bugs. This current release has about 5-6 hours of playtime, so there's plenty of content that needs a good deal of testing... especially all the branching dialogue paths and decision nodes! We've tested the game to high heaven multiple times over the past months, but there's only a handful of us on the team and it's inevitable that we've probably missed something... hence the need for a rigorous beta-test period.

I hope you'll enjoy it once it's out. Just keep in mind the game is very wordy, there's tons of text and reading and branching dialogue paths. It doesn't play like a straightforward VN that most people in the community are used to.

It'll be grindy only in the sense if you're a total completionist and want to max everything out. Or you can just play casually and treat the game like a visual novel. Crafting still isn't implemented, so there's not much of a grind available right now anyway.

I'm not sure, we've still not settled on that. But I don't think we'll be locking anything on purpose - you may miss some content later on because your Captain's MALEDOM / ROMANCE / FEMDOM scores might not be high enough to access a particular scene (like if you're focusing on a MALEDOM build and playstyle, and haven't put any points put into FEMDOM, which then gives you a failed check when trying to access a dedicated femdom scene with a female NPC) - but that's more a consequence of your character build than us artificially gating content behind invisible walls.

And we can always loosen up even those restrictions if they turn out to be unfun or annoying (like for example lowering the amount of points needed to access specific scenes, which would then let you double-dip a bit if you wanted to). There's a dedicated femdom scene with Meredith, although hers never have any requirements - but if they did, you'd need a particular score to access them, like you'll need for other female NPCs you'll meet later on... so if you don't have enough points put into it, that specific scene would stay locked. It's basically like Difficulty Checks from D&D, but for porn.

It takes so much time and effort to produce 2D lewds that the last thing we want is people missing them because they were locked out due to some trivial and unpredictable decision they made 10 hours ago in a previous area. That's just bad game design. My personal view is that if you need a guide or walkthrough to play the game, then we've failed as designers and haven't done our jobs properly.

But that's the whole point of the system, lol. It's like saying you want to see both the 'good' and 'evil' paths at the same time when playing an RPG! The same thing applies to ToLLA's Maledom/Romance/Femdom system - if you're playing a submissive Captain who get off on being dominated by evil enemies like female orcs and drow, then how can you do a 180-degree turn in the middle of the game and suddenly change your entire playstyle just to go back to previous areas and see the scenes you've missed? It doesn't make any sense - not from a gameplay perspective, and definitely not from a role-playing one. The whole point of all those options and choices is to let you pick an archetype (ex: Dominant Soldier, Submissive Drunkard, Romantic Crusader, etc.) and play that character from start to finish, with maybe some light deviations along the way. ToLLA is a western RPG, there's going to be a lot of branching content and choice+consequence, you're not supposed to be able to do everything on a single playthrough.

But if you're just after the lewds, there's an inbuilt porn Gallery to take care of that.
