Does that mean we have to start over every time we install an update?AFAIK saves don't work in between game updates/versions.
The tags from the OP are in the game. The kinks from the big fetish list for the most part aren't.Is the game still vanilla or does it have any of those planned tags in?
Cheers, glad you enjoyed it!nice game thank you
Yes. But you can skip a lot of the early segments by picking dialogue options that let you jump ahead (like in the intro cabin, or with Meredith's talk after it). There's also the PAGE DOWN key - hold it to blitz through dialogue if you want to finish a conversation ASAP.Does that mean we have to start over every time we install an update?
Alright, but this still doesn't make things that much easier. We'll still have to do these one by one with every update, and every update will bring even more content. I hope you guysbcan solve this issue.Yes. But you can skip a lot of the early segments by picking dialogue options that let you jump ahead (like in the intro cabin, or with Meredith's talk after it). I don't see how. Maps, events, triggers, NPCs, and database entries all get changed or updated between versions. You're literally playing a different version of an area from one update to the next, even tho the background art stays the same.I hope you guysbcan solve this issue.
You really should remove that stick up your butt, and learn that if you want to quote peoples reviews do it in their entirety, instead of just the bits that suits your sad story. And sure, you claim that there are 110+ pics... but I still only had 3 scenes of lewdity in a full playthrough of not even first main quest: The initial before we get out of the hut, a foot-job and the little green thing.I don't see how. Unrelated to that: people, if you enjoy the game, please leave a review here on F95!
We're getting 1-2 stars from players bitching about lack of content, despite the game running smooth with no bugs and having 10h+ of VN-esque gameplay. I even changed the game description in the OP to say "Visual Novel", because RPG mechanics like combat haven't been implemented, and won't be until we fill out the 2nd map. Yet despite a 2-week release schedule we're still getting gigabrain "reviews" bitching about what currently isn't in the game.
Case in point:

There's literally a full VN's worth of content in ToLLA right now, 10h+ of it. And gee, I wonder why there's lots of text in an RPG/VN hybrid? Let's see what the game description in the OP says:

Wow, it's almost like we WARN YOU there's gonna be lots of chit-chat with NPCs!
Then there's this pearl here as well:

3 lewds, lmao... I checked the game's image folder, there's literally over 110 lewd pics so far.

I don't mind a 1/2 star if people don't enjoy the content, but leaving literally false information in reviews is a dick move.
I quoted the relevant part. Your review is mostly nonsense, but it's not entirely wrong... just 95% wrong. You really should remove that stick up your butt, and learn that if you want to quote peoples reviews do it in their entirety, instead of just the bits that suits your sad story.
Yes, and? What's your point? Do you go into other game threads and complain there's only 5 scenes instead of 10? 15? 20? Where's the magical cutoff? How many scenes should a game have for you to not give it 1 stars? FYI ours isn't a complete game, it's a work in progress. And if you're gonna argue that it's been in development for X years then so what? You haven't paid a penny to have earned the right to bitch about lack of content in a free game. If you were a supporter I'd cut you some slack, but I'm pretty sure you never spent a dime on anything here, because you reek of entitlement. And sure, you claim that there are 110+ pics... but I still only had 3 scenes of lewdity in a full playthrough of not even first main quest
Fucking hell man, that's not by design! This isn't a complete game - what part of 'work in progress' do you not get? Content comes in waves - if we take 2 months to implement a full inventory system with 300+ icons (because that's what we'd need), then y'all are gonna bitch about lack of updates, lack of lewds, and the game being abandoned. I can send you the core files if it's so quick and easy - paint 300 icons for us in ToLLA's style and we'll add an inventory next week. You have no clue how much effort goes into a game like this, it's not a 3d one where you can shit out DAZ renders by the truckload. If you're fortunate enough to have access to a place like F95 with tons of free games, then at least have some consideration towards the devs whose work you play at 0 cost. Reviews with 1 or 2 stars are mostly for games so buggy and broken you can barely get through them... not because you got assblasted there weren't enough sex scenes or inventory features in a current build. And of course you still haven't addressed the fact that we get lots and lots of items, but have no inventory... that is just bad design.
It literally says so in the OP, learn to read. And you mention it yourself, it is VN... then why no VN-pretag?
Your review is based on missing content; it might not be against the rules, but it wasn't written from the point of constructive criticism, and it literally misinforms the reader about our game by flat-out lying. Think about that for a sec - you left 1 star because you're butthurt about MISSING CONTENT AND FEATURES. Like I wrote above, there's a whole VN's worth of gameplay in ToLLA right this moment: 10h+ of NPC interactions (which you may not like, but they're there), and 110+ lewd pics. The pics being split between only 4 scenes doesn't change the fact there's 110+ of them. So no, your "review" isn't objective - it's hot garbage. And as my review is still there I guess your quest to have it removed failed, primarily because nothing I said in it was against the rules! How is that for a DICK move!

You can write whatever you want in that review box, but get the fuck out of here with your gaslighting.
He pissed me off, lol.
You can ignore the stuff you don't wanna see, for the most part. But yeah I get what you're saying. An issue with this game that there isn't an option to turn certain kinks and fetishes off.
We thought about adding more options during the lewd scenes and we even had some mini-CYOAs scripted, but the problem isn't the writing (which is relatively quick and easy to produce), it's the art. Because if for example you have Lewd Picture A, and you try to add multiple kinks to it via writing and choices, it become incongruent with what's being shown on the screen. Another option is to just add more pics for each branch (Lewd Picture A-1, A-2, A-3, etc.)... but then things get out of hand quickly with how much art is needed. This is one area where 3d is superior to 2d, because once you've set up the basic scene (models, lighting, etc.), you can render a ton of optional poses and kinks. With 2d on the other hand, it all has to be done by hand as digital paintings. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to add multiple branching paths to every lewd scene via writing, but our lead artist would murder me.Alternativly when writing scenes, add the ability to choose what actions the player takes so that they may choose to avoid what they aren't interested in.
That's actually a fair critique, and people have mentioned it before. So we reduced the word budget per encounter from ~15k in the earlier builds, to under 5k. I dunno if you've played #2-F, but the dialogues are sub-4000 words now. And they do flow better since they're shorter and punchier.Another critic, is that a lot of dialog and scenes are verbose.
Appreciate the response! It's definitely understandable why the branching paths idea couldn't work. I think the amazing 2D art is worth the tradeoff. An alternative I've seen done in games like Corruption of Champions do is that each scene with a character tends to be dedicated to one or two positions, like a scene dedicated to oral or a scene dedicated to a handjob. Could be something to consider, but if that just isn't the style you're going for then no worries! Also, Appreciate you letting me know about the new word budget, it seems I was playing an old build of the new game so I'll have to give the new one a shot!He pissed me off, lol.
We bust our asses to push out an update every 2 weeks, and then I see nonsense like that review.

I was under the impression GOG doesn't allow adult/18+ games. Are there any plans to make the game available on GOG?
Yeah CoC has very robust branching paths. I love Fenoxo's games, TiTS is even more fun imo... but his art budget and developer & contributor count is way above ours, I don't think we can match his output. An alternative I've seen done in games like Corruption of Champions do is that each scene with a character tends to be dedicated to one or two positions, like a scene dedicated to oral or a scene dedicated to a handjob.
From what I recall, our scripter left the old events unchanged (like that talk with the gate guards), but all the new ones being added are with shorter word counts. The ones in #2-F are ~4000 words IIRC. That seems to be the sweet spot. Also, Appreciate you letting me know about the new word budget, it seems I was playing an old build of the new game so I'll have to give the new one a shot!
I can't pinpoint the date exactly when they started allowing it but they a lot of them now, maybe you guys could publish there too. I personally prefer to buy my games from them rather than steam.I was under the impression GOG doesn't allow adult/18+ games.
Has that changed recently?
IIRC only 4 out of the 25+ tutorials are voiced and unskippable (the really important ones). All the others have no VO.It's a beautiful visual and concept game but... WHY I CAN'T skeep tutorial voice dialog?
Inventory isn't coded yet, and it's missing icons art. Quest log as well... but you can refer to the walkthrough in the meantime (it comes bundled with the game, inside the .rar archive).Where I can see my inventory? or quests?
Wow, I had no idea they'd lifted the 18+ restriction. Thanks for the heads-up, I'll discuss it with the team at our next meeting.I can't pinpoint the date exactly when they started allowing it but they a lot of them now, maybe you guys could publish there too.
