It's not marked as AICG because their trying to pretend it's not and see how gullible we are. That is the most generic AI face in use atm, so it's easy to pick out. Hard Pass on this one, The AI, The potential paywall all scream cash grab quick buck.

Nope. We have machinma. We have cheap and mostly free access to easy 3D models. Nobody needs to be a good illustrator to generate images. Failing that, text adventures are still a thing and still an option. If someone is cool with choosing the artistically bereft option of cutting corners with AI, I'm going to assume they cut other corners as well (stole code, plagiarized writing, etc.). Basically anybody worth their artistic salt will put in the actual work; everyone else is a grifter.

I think this points to the real problem: you can also make some decent AI art (for fapping at least), you can get some passable translation out of MTL if one is willing to put in the work editing it. The problem is that both these things are clear markers of low effort and grifty bs.

While it's certainly a problem someone who can't read Japanese tries translating a japanese game, the immediate problem is no one ever bothers to clean up basic shit such as pronouns, "bread bread bread" etc.
