An overall good experience for what it is. I appreciate the number of options given for exploring the content, which gives you quite a lot of freedom of selection. Many games fail on that front, but this one did rather well, as I tend to go into a playthrough with a specific mindset of how I want to play the character (slutty, conservative, etc.).
Some issues I did have with the game:
- I expected more "zombie" out of a zombie game. The zombie(?) girl just shows humanity both very quickly and pretty much constantly outside occasionally being "hungry".
- The cabin looks fine, but pretty much any environment outside of that looks odd. It's very bright and almost cartoony at times.
- You can select the main character's name, but not immediately. The dialogue box refers to her as "She" for the intro, which is weird. "Girl" would have made more sense.
- I felt it was odd that the zombie girl continues wearing the knee bandage, despite it no longer being necessary and a potential hazard, as I'd personally expect other humans to ask about it under fear that she may be infected.
- On that note, the fact they bandage the knee but not the abdomen, despite the back injury looking just as bad if not worse, was weird.
- Would have appreciated memories including dialogue.
- The management part of the game becomes very minimal, very quickly. Once you get the building upgrades done you spend very little time on it, which is fine, except that when progression initiates on the story you have to wait for it. For example, zombie girl agrees to yoga the next morning in the morning slot, but there's no "management" tasks to be done, so you go grab some fruit or whatever even if you're at 75% just to pass the time so you can continue the plot. You end up with a lot of downtime and waiting on things very quickly. I'm not sure what the difficulty settings do in regards to this, I figure they just change numbers, but I played on normal, for reference.
Some technical problems I encountered:
- Misspellings or just missing/repeated words in the dialogue was fairly common.
- Very minor, but after selecting names, the main character immediately refers to the zombie girl as "Zoe" in a line (the top name selection), rather than the selected name.
- Pretty glaring issue,
