Again, that's the main problem with him, he won't act at all. I know he was raised by a controlling and abusive environment, but like I said, Keisuke was raised by those conditions too and he's not complacent with it and still make efforts to change that. Shoichi not only doesn't do it, but he also doesn't want to do it.

It's a real shame. Haruki has been a delight so far so I really hope it goes well. I mean, I even enjoy Keisuke quite a lot even if he isn't usually my type of character. Genuinely feels like after Shiochi's route blunder, those two became even more enjoyable for me because of their no-nonsesnse attitude.Such twists in characters' personalities annoy me too. It completely kills all the love you felt for them before, because of their actions. Good thing I avoided his route, but there are other novels with something similar that made me stop reading them. (Nate from Santa Lucia, or Jørgen from Dawn Chorus).
I hope nothing like that happens with Haruki.
