I stopped supporting the dev 2 month after he parted away with the animator claiming that he was burned out or something as i saw broken animations and lazy reskinning with character eyes not moving and it became a horrified version of the models others actually put time and effort to make.

and do I believe that the animator was burned out ? no simply he wasn't getting paid enough for the work he was doing ( just check the first 6 aggressor (kuki - mona -fischl - yelan - raiden - eula) and compare them to anything after ( i still think hu tao and furina came out fine coz of the goated models and even those had bugs like 1 eye is not moving and broken knees and freezing animations and etc.)

or either he was working for free or something coz the content of this game is such a specific type of fetish that you cant have an animator without the same fetish to even accept to animate it

termine + was a fantastic idea that was scrapped ( or at least it seems like it coz guess who was also animating that ? )

and now days the dev is doing 20 different works (exaggerated number) a 3rd game called squeeze watch and its been a while since we heard of that - some random comics - some random colabs here and there that shows none of the works ever gonna get completed or fixed or even have the quality of what termine use to have

such a Disappointing end to my love for this game

and no making voice lines with AI does not take more than a month ( it even takes less than a week ) some of coding with the lines are broken anyway as u can hear different chars talking too ( yea never fixed too btw )

Focusing on multiple things at once leads nowhere unfortunately because the creative efforts and resources are divided. Of course this doesn't apply to billion dollar companies but it's guaranteed self sabotage for Indie developers. It's completely reasonable to feel frustrated and burned out when the energy is going in four directions.

My opinion when it comes to videogames or just commitments in life in general is to focus on one thing, do it well and then move onto the next. The problem is that games like these deep down while not technically complete (since the developers don't give closure or clear statements about the future of the game but still pretend to consider player feedback when it comes to the possibility of sex and new functions etc), are still "sort of" complete in practicality because they're just being milked.

I don't mind the game being as it is, as I said in my earlier comment it's better than not having it. But what I see as ambiguous or misleading is the open-endedness between developer and its community. It's ok to realize you no longer feel motivated to work on a project, but if people are helping you finance your game in the hopes that it's going to evolve with >their< money then the fair action to take would be to disclose future plans.

Of course, if supporters are fine with being kept in the dark and a couple of re-skins every now and then... then more power to them. Just my two cents.
