VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Terminus Reach: Sentinel [v1.0 official] [Talothral]

I liked it a lot. While Sorcerer has better visuals due to being the second game I found the story engaging and interesting. I really liked the different species and the inter-relations. Definitely looking forward to the Second one.

My only critique is I missed out on a relationship with Zae'na by not telling her to stop mind reading which was strange to me as I felt allowing her to continue would be more 'friendly' an approach.

I gave this one a shot, but I just couldn't quite get into it. At its core, Terminus Reach is a sci-fi VN in which you play as Commander Shepard's less charismatic and more edgelord younger brother. Unfortunately, it's just not really good enough at anything to be a real gem.

The renders are dated at best and outright ugly at worst. I wasn't really a fan of them as bald isn't my favorite look and the aliens are quite unattractive. The animations, such as they are, are still images pushed together and repeated to create a stop motion-like effect. It's not great, nor are the sex sequences.

The story is much better, but still falls short. In a strange sort of way, I feel it's because of the porn. There's an interesting sort of political thriller if you dig around the unnecessary harem. Unfortunately, the harem really takes time away from the political machinations, which is rough as the story and alien societies complex and need all the screen time they can get to make sense. As is, it can feel a bit dense and confusing.

Stacked on this issue is the main character. Edgelord is truly the most applicable term. The core of his character is an assassin with a heart of gold who doesn't care about anyone... except his girlfriend, his friends, the people of the station... so okay a lot of people. But still, he'll kill anyone in cold blood who threatens any of those people and joke about it while doing it. I think it's immediately obvious how that character is unnecessarily edgy for the sake of edge. Add a few bonus points for him being the closest thing to god in the setting and we have a real problem child.

In summary, Terminus Reach strikes me as a reasonably decent VN that suffered from adding porn. Without porn there'd be no issues with unattractive aliens/females, more focus on the fairly good political drama, and a slightly more reasonable main character. However, the game does feature porn and everything is weaker for its inclusion.

An hidden masterpiece.
This is the first creature of Talothral, sometimes the pic aren't great, but the story itself is great.
I repeat myself, a masterpiece.
I played it no stop for like 6 hours. You start the game and after the first 10 minutes, you need to know what gonna happend next and so you go on and go on and go on and go on.
My fortune is that a finish it and discovered that there will be a next chapter. GREAT!!

Wow, This game is awesome! Story is amazing if you like a sci-fi setting it is done brilliantly! the characters all have a good personality ( wonderful cuck queen of a devoted alien main girl for you) at first i was sceptical as i progressed i realised im not stopping till i finish the game it engrossed me entirely, so yeah i played in one sitting.

Now for the sci-fi element i am so happy the aliens are as diverse as they are, not just humanoids all female races, it actually has a lot of diversity, now i didnt get much why every one is bald in the game still didnt mind that either just loved it all

I am a sucker for fantasy as well and finding out this dev is doing a game in that genre - Sorcerer yeah i ended up addicted to that waiting for releases.

I hope this game gets more maybe a sequel? would love it i fell in love with the cast too much to say goodbye !

This is a great Sci-fi story with fantastic characterisation and lore. It gripped me so much i did it all in one sitting until 5:30am. The sex scenes weren't to my tastes but the story more than made up for it. A must play for anyone who is interested in sci-fi.

Played sorcerer and loved the story and character building. So when I saw this creator had a completed game I could not wait to play it.

Story- even without sex this story is so captivating, detailed, and amazingly written. One commenter wrote that very few games in this genre can hold up on story alone and they could not be more accurate
Characters- very well done and unique personalities and differences between alien races. I loved learning more about the galaxy and the different species.
Graphics- there ok I've seen Bette but seen worse. It had no bearing on my opinion and if they did a remake with updated graphics all I can say is it would be the best game on here.

Only one I can think of and that is that it ended. I’m hoping after sorcerer there we get a sequel and explore more of the galaxy as seriously you will not find a better story

Very few games in this genre can hold up on story alone. This is one that can. The world building, characters, variety of alien encounters, and plot will keep you invested and wanting more after the ending. This is one where I would definitely enjoy a sequel and return to this world. With or without updated assets.

This is a decent game. I appreciate the sci-fi setting and having aliens. But there are some things that hold the game back.

The visuals are a bit outdated. And the character models could have been better. All of the men are bald, and so are half of the women. Two of the women are extremely muscular like bodybuilders. I like muscular women, but this was a bit extreme. There is another female character who isn't even 5 feet tall and very thicc. These body types are a bit of a turn off for me. The only woman who had a realistic body was the MC's girlfriend.

While I appreciate the auto-progressing still "animations" they go a little too fast making it easy to miss stuff.

This game is a slow burn, which means it's pretty long. Which is something I usually consider a positive, especially if the story is good, which it is here. But the writing itself is pretty sloppy. Spelling, grammar and punctuation errors are all common. There is a lot of repetitive dialogue. The MC and his girlfriend constantly call each other "babe" no matter the setting or situation. It's common for them to say "babe" several times in a single conversation. It's pretty distracting and can pull you out of the game.

The game ends suddenly shortly after the main conflict is resolved. The MC goes around and talks to the other characters and there is talk to catching up with others when they return, but then the game ends. Almost like the dev just decided to end the game. It just felt like there could have been more.

I wasn't aware that this is the same dev who is making "Sorcerer". I really liked that game and gave it a full 5 stars. Although I criticized the writing in it as well.

I did like this game for the story, but it has problems as I outlined above. If you feel as if you could look past the writing issues then I would recommend this game.

This game is a blast! One of my favourite game for sure. the stopry and writing is simply amaziong. I really hope to see other game form this talented dev. only the End was a bit rusched.. i would prefered that MC go on vacation with all his partners and i would see him thanking properly the Emperor of Kraed properly and he should have seen hiugh preinceps for last time too before ending. anyway recommended to anyone.

One of the best sci-fi Visual Novels you can find on this site. The story is obviously the main focus here but the sex scenes are frequent and don't disappoint.
I strongly recommend this game to everyone that is interested in an addictive story hoping (like many others) that the characters will return for a sequel.

Extremely talented story writer. While some of the "partners" were not my cup of tea, the story was well done and the ability to weave it properly provided me a ton of entertainment. I actually found this game through the Sorcerer game, as I knew I like the author's story telling style.

I would read any story written by the author, adult VN or not, at this point.

Gameplay: 4/5 I almost say not applicable as there are not a tone of decisions an this is more of a true visual novel. However there are some and they do have consequences based on the,

if you are looking for scifi game with good plot, good graphics (not top end but no need), interesting characters (not bland any ways), well made humor and game doesn't want to release it hooks on you until it's end of game then this is game for you.

story starts could say bit in the middle but it doesn't matter since what happened before is told to player as game goes on (multiple times) and player's decisions actually matter, game goes on smoothly and puts smile on player's face too many times to count, no dull moments since there is always some task.

Enjoyable game overall. Some minor typos and syntax errors throughout. Seems that the writer either has English as a second language or did not pay much attention in English classes throughout school. Still, they crafted a pretty good story. Was a little disappointed in the way the end was kinda rushed.

This is my absolute favorite complete visual novel. I sets expectations about being more of a story over sexual content, and doesn't disappoint on either end. I was enamored with this story and world/universe building. It's got a good amount of story telling and depth. It's got a captivating background to the story that sucks you in. The sex scenes were still above plenty of other works, even some that focus on that specifically. I felt like there was enough of an impact with the choices I made to almost deserve more of a game title over just a visual novel, least it delivered more than other games. I just want more from this, like there needs to be an expansion on this in the form of a sequel, prequel, or hell there was plenty of set up for other stories with the main villain having worked on at least one other station, shit I'd take a spin-off onto one of the alien home worlds. Also seems like it could use the Sci-fi tag

The game grabbed me and my girlfriend. We play a lot of games together. The story and how it is structured and it was also written the implementation of the characters for the first TIme i woult give all STARS and 10 out of 10 all in all the game blew us away.
One of the Best Storys we ever read and we feel to be a part of it and wanting us to be a part of this whole Universe that was created with this Story....

I enjoyed this VN, the sex scenes didn't feel forced, story sort of kicks off already in progress without a prologue but quickly brings you up to speed. One complaint I would say is that the decisions didn't feel like they made much of a difference, although apparently on my playthrough I missed on potential outcome. Lot of bald folks in the game, but I didn't think it was bad or forced. All in all, it was entertaining, I enjoyed it, and I would recommend this for anyone interested in a sci-fi setting.

Amazing game!! The story in this game is no doubt its strongest point. Very engaging and the worldbuilding is well done. Downloaded for the porn but I stayed for the story. The renders of this game are also pretty good and the scenes were also nice even if they weren't animated. The character design is top notch as well. Once again, great game and I wish the devs luck on their future projects.

What a fantastic game! The story is very engaging and interesting all the way through. The worldbuilding is fantastic, and the ending was quite satisfying. The characters are awesome as well. This game has the best protagonist in any game that I've played on here, as he's an intellectual badass, but with a heart. The other characters were unique and interesting as well, and many of them received character development too, which was nice to see. I had a tough time choosing my favorite character, but I think it'd have to be Chiel, as she's just cool as hell.

This game involves both human sex as well as alien sex and there are quite a lot of sex scenes. Plus, the scenes all make sense, as there's always a buildup. This game is more about telling a story that has sex in it, which is exactly how I like it. However, I will say that there aren't any real animations; sex positions are always just 2 or 3 renders repeated multiple times, which is kinda lame.

The worst part about this game is that the dialogue is full of bad grammar and typos. I think English isn't this developers first language, so I can't blame them too much, but I wish they would've at least gotten a native English speaker to proofread the dialogue and make it flow better.

Even with these flaws, I had a complete blast playing this game and really enjoyed it. Well done Talothral!
