VN - Ren'Py - The Adored Marriage [Ch.1 v0.7] [Simbaclaw]

A promising NTR game so far! The pacing has been pretty good, slowing building up the NTR. Solid writing, the developer is able to show the strong bond between the couple. I love the teases and glimpses of the scenarios in the game, it's done well. I'd say models are average to above average, renders are also in the same ballpark as well. What I do like is how it looks like there are variables that are going to built up. Also,it looks like it has a cheating husband route which offers more content and complexity rather just a wife-sharing game. Just wish that there was some music to add some ambience to it. Also to mention the sex scenes are pretty meh, hopefully, it improves in the future.A promising NTR/wife sharing game that I look forward to playing in the future in a couple of more updates.

I'd probably call this 3.5 stars if I could, because in these early stages (reviewed at 0.9), it shows some potential but also some negatives.

First of all, I like that the couple isn’t jumping feet first into a sharing lifestyle. I’ve played a couple of these games and there’s maybe one or two minor incidents and then BOOM – someone else is banging the wife. Here, it’s much slower (so far), just testing the waters, and I feel that gives it better initial pacing. There are some things in the latest update (0.9) that potentially threaten this pacing, but it remains to be seen how they will play out (how far and how fast things will go).

As far as the gameplay goes, we do get a decent number of choices, and although it remains to be seen exactly how they will add up over the course of the game, some of these give husband or wife cheating points, and sharing points. I do like how there is confidence involved as well, so occasionally something will happen and a little notification will say something like “she has enough confidence to do this”, so you can see the impact of some choices in isolated incidents rather than as full pathing splits or branches.

There is one main negative for me at the moment: I feel the writing does need some additional work. In terms of the story, it’s okay – if not fantastically complex or fresh – but the technical side of it lets the game down. There are a number of typos and other grammatical errors that would put some people off continuing, and also some instances where the text doesn’t match up to what we can see (e.g., the narrative says “they stand up” but everyone was already standing up, or it says “she shut the door” but then conversation with a caller on the doorstep continues with the door open). If these issues were fixed, I think the game has a chance to meet its potential, otherwise, perhaps not.

Well, nothing new here—we have a classic NTR theme with a wife and husband allowing others to share their partner.

The concept is evergreen, but its execution in this game is highly mediocre. The art and gameplay are subpar, and the sex scenes lack depth, presented hastily and without any real eroticism. Given that the plot is meant to emphasize these scenes, everything instead feels flat and uninspired—much like a decade-old marriage.

I understand that grasping the complexities of adult relationships and dynamics isn’t everyone's forte, and portraying them effectively in a game, movie, or book is even more challenging. However, this developer doesn’t engage with the adult world at all. Instead, the game feels like a soulless checklist of tropes, with "choices" that add nothing meaningful to the gameplay or story.

• Spicy and Captivating Dialogues

Cons:

• Pacing Feels a Bit Slow at the Beginning

The characters are crafted with impressive detail, and there’s a noticeable variety in ages, which I’m sure will appeal to a wide range of players (shoutout to Mr. Thompson!). The animations are top-notch, placed thoughtfully to enhance key moments, with excellent close-ups that really elevate the experience.

While the game starts off a little slow, it’s clearly building toward something exciting and has immense potential. Can’t wait to see what future updates bring!

Went into this one (version 0.5) expecting something pretty dang good, considering at the time it had so many five stars. Really highly rated game, and judging by its scores, you would think this is on par with some of the heavy hitters in the AVN genre.

Well, I feel cheated. This was not very good, not at all.
In cases like this, I can't help but wonder, am *I* from another planet, or are the previous reviewers from another planet and/or sucking up to the dev?

Like in what world is this a 5-star VN? The writing is often VERY bad. Typos, borked english in some (few) cases. For example "Feel" is "Fell" in the game.
Hubby and Wife are out, wifey flirts a bit with another dude, and the Hubby narrates this, and one line is something like "She locked that man so bad.."
Uh? she "locked that man so bad" ?
Some - not all, but some dialogue feels like it's written by someone that's never spoken to another human being before. Just feels..off, and weird.

Most "choices" has zero impact, as they dont actually mean sh-t.
There's a few choices that do mean something, but not many.

Animations are..well, I dont want to be too critical, they are "fine".
As long as it's not a BJ scene. Friggin hate seeing a wasted animation on BJ where the woman's mouth stays OPEN, like you're using a blow-up doll to suck you off. Close the damn mouth woman, you're literally NOT sucking anything.
I think the best animation as of current content, wasn't even for the hubby or wifey. But rather some black dude and a blonde chick.
Not saying that animation was amazing, but it came across as it had more love and passion put into making it, than the hubby+wife sex scenes (2 as of now I think)

In one sex scene, they've barely started doing anything, and the wife's skin is showing signs of sweating - or rather it looked more like she came out of the shower. How can she be sweaty, she hasn't even started yet?


The renders are good enough though, so I'll give you that.
Wifey is more than fine. Not "super hot", but I would do her lol.
But I dont rate games based on if some or all women in the VN are all super hot, since we all have our tastes. What I find attractive, YOU might find meh.

So in the Render department, this one is some ways above average. It's not bad, not at all. Not top notch either, but not everyone can make renders that look perfect, without needing a team, and/or lots of time.

So I would say, best thing about this VN so far, is the renders, the quality of them rather.
If dudes and dudettes looks good or not, is hard to say. I personally think the wifey looks more than ok, and Jennifer is probably more up my alley.


So maybe I'm the one that bums out this party of 4's and 5's for this VN, but to me, this aint even close to a "masterpiece".
Nothing against simbaclaw, I truly do wish you the best. But I gotta be honest, and I find the average score for this VN misleading.
Some will agree with me, some will disagree. We all know how it goes.

Pretty renders...a couple of decent looking ladies. and..uhm...well I'm out of positive things to say for now.
Writing needs to improve. Dialogues needs to improve.
I also lost count how many times the hubby went about thinking to himself how lucky he is to have her, how awesome she is. Its enough to do this once or twice. But after a while I started wondering if this was an AD, the game is trying to sell me this pixel-wifey or something lol.
We KNOW he is happy and feel lucky to have her, they are MARRIED, he wouldn't have married her if he didnt fancy her, right?

Slow start as well.

But hey, I still have hopes for this one. I dont expect this to be "GOAT", and I'm mainly disappointed, seeing the ratings for this game, and then experience anything BUT a 4-5 star VN.

Too many things that are "not great" for this to be even close to a 5-star in my book.

But gimme more of Jennifer and I might up this one star

Again I truly do wish the dev all the best. I might give it another try after a couple more updates perhaps. Right now there's really nothing "hooking" me, not when I have hundreds of other VNs to get thru as well (some better, some worse than this one)
I truly do try to find the charm and beauty in these VNs, hence why this isn't just a straight out 1-star.
3-star would've meant is average across all categories. But it fails in more areas than it succeeds in, AT THE MOMENT. There's still time and hope for this to become something..better

Lesson that I hope everyone knows, no matter if you've been on this forum for 1 day, or 7 years - you can very rarely trust the ratings.
Especially since there are VN's on here that's version 0.00001 with 5 minutes of gameplay, that has 5-stars all around, because it "looks promising". FFS, rate the game when there's something to rate, not based on "what COULD be".

I've just finished the 0.5 update, and wow, I’m seriously impressed. The render quality is absolutely stunning, every scene looks so polished and detailed that it feels like the characters and world are jumping off the screen. You can really tell how much effort went into making everything look this good.

About the story flow I can say that it’s pretty smooth, engaging, and keeps you hooked the entire time. I never felt bored or like things were dragging, and the way the characters are written makes them feel relatable. I have to mention how much I loved the female character in the game. Her design, personality, and the way she’s written are just incredible. She’s not just visually stunning, but also feels like a well-rounded, interesting character.

Honestly, I think this game has so much potential. I can totally see it becoming something huge if it keeps going in this direction. I’m already looking forward to future updates to see where the story goes next.

Huge respect to the developer for creating such a promising and enjoyable experience. Keep up the amazing work!

As a massive fan of wife sharing/cheating/ntr games, this so far hits the spot. The writing is excellent with only a few minor grammar mistakes. It's above par for the genre. I've probably played all the NTR games available and a ton have awful writing. The graphics are also above par and in my opinion fall into the top 25%. Though, don't get me wrong, there are definitely some games out there with 4k graphics that will blow you away. However, these are fantastic and I find the wife model very attractive. The animations are a bit clunky but easily overlooked. I eagerly look forward to seeing more.

I posted most of my advice in the thread about this game and after playing I decided to review the current product (Version 0.5) It's starting off pretty solid if only a little similar to many other Couple type VN's. In the Dev's defense, there's not too many other ways to introduce couples.

Story is going pretty well, except in my opinion, a little too fast. Not long after introducing the characters, Husband is already pushing Wife to add a third person. We've barely known these two and already a threesome is brought up. We need more examples of love and devotion between the two. Make their marriage rock solid so that we as the reader want to destroy their union so much more. I would make the wife a lot more reluctant to "outside play" until circumstances make her a participant. But I get it, too much of a slow burn make people upset.

Animations are ok, I know this is the beginning and they can only get better from here.

Overall, a good start and can't wait to see where the story goes (though i have a good idea)

The Characters are in Very good quality, It seems that there are different age Characters, which I believe the Older fans of the Game will love (Mr. Thompson).
The Game Includes Animation that are well made, and are placed where it counts with good Close-ups.
The Game is Starting Slow with lots of Potential here.

I won't write about the strengths since others have already covered them
Here are three issues:

• FMC’s facial expressions: At times, they feel exaggerated. For instance, when she laughs, her mouth opens unnaturally wide, or she makes other over-the-top expressions. While her dialogue and behavior are fine so far, and her personality has been good, these facial expressions contradict that. They make her seem like someone who doesn’t take anything seriously. This problem is noticeable in about 10 to 20 renders, but the rest of the expressions are perfectly fine
• The sex scene: There’s only one, and it’s poorly executed. It’s too short, the animation is buggy, and during the blowjob, the FMC’s mouth doesn’t align properly with the MC’s dick, among other problem
• Bugs: There are quite a few bugs. For example, if I choose the red dress, she occasionally ends up wearing a black one in the club

If these three problems get fixed, I’ll bump my review up to 5 stars but If these issues aren’t resolved, I’m afraid I’ll have no choice but to lower my rating to 3 stars

Excellent start from Simbaclaw taking our married couple from boredom to swinging. Early days yet but our dev seems to have set a steady pace and I for one hope there's a lot more to come, 4 stars at the moment but hoping to give the fifth in future episodes.

It is a short part. But I love this begginning of the story. Not so fast and the images are very cool. And finally, the dialogues seen very natural.
This theme is one of my favorites. When a couple start to discover new ways of realating.

Very little content at the moment, but the story is laid out very nicely.

There seems to be a lot of routes that the story could go down in the future, but not too many where it's unrealistic. The story also makes sense and isn't some kind of rushed "cuck me im useless" story.

I hope developer continues working on this, and does eventually have a "cuck me im useless story" with a slow burn.

I'm really enjoying this game! There are so many options to explore, like swinging, wife sharing, hotwifing, and even some cheating elements. maybe mystery netorare and netorase? this all adds to the excitement. I noticed there might be a chance to set up a scene in the bar, which I'm super excited about. It would be awesome to see future couples, random guys hanging out, or even some online dating scenarios!

SUMMARY: Solid start to a typical NTR game.

PROS:

1. Nice looking models
2. Renders are generally good quality
3. Story is simple yet kinky
4. Written and structured well with good pacing.

CONS:

1. Not much in the line of cons as of yet, there is too little content.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

• Consider adding more kinks like pregnancy, don't limit the MC's wife only as someone that could become pregnant from another guy but also the MC knocking up another woman.
• Other kinks are always welcome and hopefully the developer does things different in this that the MC is the only one that gets cucked, maybe take the approach of playing both MC and his wife and see how it goes.
