A: Thank you so much for not making another "cats and dogs" furry game. They had their time, the age of fuzz is ending.
B: I notice the last screenshot says "Transformational Roguelike". Can we expect to see the MC get visual modifications or customization in the future?

Hey there, we rarely respond here (sorry about that!), but I feel like this one is important to address B as I've probably worded it in not-the-best way and there might be a number of people tricked by that. The word "Transformational" is used in the phrase that goes "Transformational Roguelite Update" and refers to the word "Update", meaning that this update transforms the game into a full rogue-lite experience (introduces the meta progression and stuff). There are no current plans on MC transformation the way it is seen in the yiff context. There is a (paid) community-polled customization feature coming up soon that can technically be used on the MC, but the intended and most likely outcome is that it's the girls that get customized, after all.

Speaking of A, we adore our characters and I'm the happiest I can be when I see comments like that, thanks so much! Surely the "cats and dogs" will be there too, but first and foremost we are fully determined to show more love to some awesome species that we think are underappreciated, hence the choice of the first Realm (biome).

Would be nice if you were able to fuck the mob enemies. Like having a skill which initiates that and gives you hp or something idk.
One of the "What's planned" questions says that it's planned, and will work similar to Glory Kills in the recent DOOM games. It won't be on every mob, though (stuff like the Pufferfish were used as examples of the "won't work")

Hey there. Not an OP, but there are no screenshots featuring paid content there. As you can see in this screenshot from our itch web demo, it absolutely is in there. You must be thinking about a different scene, also with Lady Fin, but unlocked on victory rather than defeat.

Well every defeat iv gotten so far has been locked behind a patron paywall and the grinding is set to hard with only getting very little ingame money to powerup per bord lvl/ enemy beaten

Hey there, just lost to Lady Fin to make sure it's fine. Did you only mean losing to Shrimpie? 1746091312849.png

Losing to Fin works fine, at least on the web version for me, along with winning against her being locked off for Patreon (as I assume is intended). As for people saying it's hard.... how? Just attack twice and dash away. The third hit animation locks you for too long to safely do it and get out, but doing the first two is pretty fast and you can dash away almost immediately. If you're losing to Shrimp, try getting the fire/ice/lightning buff for your main attack, it extends the range a bit allowing you to tap her with the edge, assuming appropriate spacing, while preventing her from teleporting away. She dances before doing the whirlpool, and the bubbles are fairly easy to dodge. Fin is easier imo, since all of her attacks have long enough windups that you shouldn't get hit.

Speaking of the elemental buffs. Can there be some way to see what they actually do? I got all 3 across different runs, and from what I can tell the best of them is lightning. Fire gives a scaling DoT effect (the more bar, the longer it lasts and deals more damage), lightning seems to increase crit chance. I think ice slows enemies? Idk, I couldn't tell what it was doing.

Ice's effect is definitely slowing enemies/attacks. It's extremely noticeable on the Orca tanks.
Crit is a good boon for Lightning, but an AoE/chaining effect would also be good.

Also, kind of a silly idea, but a few other H-games heavy on gameplay have a streamer/SFW mode, so that might be an idea in the future.

Another mention for Shrimpie is to just spam any elemental AoE attack, as they all cause her to get knocked back and cancel her attacks. I'm not sure how viable that'll remain in future versions/the harder versions of the underwater area, but it works for now.

For Fin, parking her next to the south statue and ducking behind it for cover is pretty safe, since her trident will either track toward the bottom of the screen or hit the statue.

I'm confused as to why this game is 3D but uses 2D nsfw animations even though they really don't look that good. The one in the preview looks horribly stiff in a lot of places where you don't want stiffness.

If you have the models already seems like it'd be better to edit those and then go full 3D. Quite a lot of flexibility for animation variety vs having to constantly draw 2D animations and then make them into animated parts.
