VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - The Alchemist's Ring [Ch.7] [SweetPlumz]

I like the game, it is interesting. The story isn't terrible, but a little messy. Some random thoughts:
A change to the overview.
It's a terrible description of the story, not even a mention of the ring. Maybe that will change, but right now, that description isn't even in the game, and I doubt the story's primary focus will be your father's broke dick; it probably will come back and be relevant in the story but probably as an antagonistic role.
I checked this game out because I was curious how a game that was a couple of months old was at chapter 7, turns out the chapters feel more like scenes. It's up to the dev how they see what a chapter is but at this rate best case is the game is short with a reasonable amount of chapters, or there will be a bunch of chapters before the story properly gets going.

Average at best.

Summary
So, this is another one of those "MC gets a ring of power, and doesn't know how to use it kind of VNs. It's been done several times on here, but at least it isn't a corruption ring.
MC really looks like a child, not an adult. Getting tired of seeing this over and over again and again.
You apparently get a lewd scene in here some where, but I obviously missed the que on how to get it to happen.
There is about 15 minutes for each chapter. The choices don't really matter unless it's to look at legs or tiddies.
I'm giving this one a hard pass for future updates.

First release (ch.1-6)

tl;dr Played till chaper 3 or 4 with the first lewd scene and it was neither beautiful nor fun. After that i stopped
Def definitely need to use animations or atleast lose half the frames for the scenes...

Good:

• Story seems interesting and i kinda like the MC. His inner monologues are funny
• Somewhat good models with kind of a unique art style

Bad: The lewd scene!

• The first lewd scene was terrible. The womans pussy actually looked like a real camel toe... Kinda dark in its tone and "weirdly" hairy. If you see it, you know what i mean.
• There are actual sounds (voices) in the sex scene. Atleast for me it was a turn off to hear some porn like dirty talk. Wasnt expecting this.
• The scene was a click fest... Instead of an animation, you have to click for each frame of a movement. The bj at the start alone was shot from different angles and i had to click like 50 frames to get over it.
• Besides the click fest, the sex wasnt pleasent to look at either (thats what she said) - The women squated over MC just to put his tip in and nothing more... boring af...

I'm enjoying this - the format is a little different, I was actually reading the story for a change although it seems to jump around a little- but it feels different to other games and has some originality - I'll be following this one

Great start so far. I like that the music goes with the scenes for me anyway. The models are also original as I have not seen them in any other games before, as far as I can tell. If I hadn't read the description, I would have probably thought this game was about casting couch or something, lol.

I am guessing that the tags in the description are future tags? Since I have not seen any lactation in the game or did, I miss it?
The plot seems original and based on the story about the ring. There might be a bad guy soon in the mix.
Overall, I like this game, and the possible plots are endless. We'll see how it all plays out. Good luck, dev.

Decent story so far. I’d give a 3.5 if could. Mainly going to give a description so you can make up your mind if this is worth it to you to play.

I like the graphics though not sure about the letter boxing. Probably helpful for a first time dev to keep rendering down a bit. It is nice to see some custom or at least different models. They all seem to lean toward the curvy side of the spectrum if that matters.

Writing at least isn’t as verbose as it is in the game description. It is decent English wise. Chapters are short but decent breaks. I’d guess it’d be about 1.5 to 2 normalish chapters based on the VNs I've seen.

Unfortunately our young mc is the overused naive boy with a large magic penis but of course was a virgin until now (I’ve taught middle school boys more manly than him).

It has sound effects which I think is subjective if you’d like or not.
Personally I’d like to have more sex talk/description during the sex scenes instead of relying on sound effects. BGM was a nice touch for a first release.

Sex scene was not animated or if any was in there it wasn’t noticeable. A decent amount of stills though during it, perhaps even too much with all the clicking to get through the sex scene, but I’d rather the dev err on too much than not enough visuals here. Honestly it’s better than a few highly rated stories on f95 that have a 3 second repeating gif as the sex scene. I’m not a fan of the closeups of mc though, his eyebrows are funky and his expression just overall feels somewhat off.

There’s few choices. Not sure how much they matter, at least the early ones yet. (After going back through code, it appears a lot of the choices give +1 brave pts—should be obvious—but doesn’t look like that comes into play yet). The one at beginning of chapter 4 is important if you want to see the sex scene/ch 5. I guess I’d like a little better indication of what the choice is doing since doesn’t seem to matter at first. It wasn’t until I went from ch 4 to ch 6 that I realized I had to redo my choice at beginning of ch 4. Another example “I love you guys too” vs “I love you too”, the 2nd choice gives +1 curiosity to the step mom but first choice doesn’t do anything.

Overall a solid first release but nothing fabulous yet. Best of wishes for this to continue and improve.

Well made and written. Enjoyed seeing not your cookie cutter characters.. With a dedicated Dev and regular updates I can see the 4 stars headed for 5. Just a smooth ride from the beginning. Kudos and I can't wait to see where it goes.. So many possibilities.
