I'd really like to give this 4 stars, but just can't bring myself to do it.
Good:
- Animations (seriously some of the best I've seen)
- Lots of H-scenes
- Not much repetition
- Renderings (of the bodies) were very good
- Fantastic concept (the artifact gives you the power to achieve your deepest desire)
Meh:
- Renderings (heads / faces) . . . not sure what happened here. Sometimes seemed like I was watching a porn version of Team America: World Police. Faces (particularly during animations, the worst time) just didn't seem right, mostly the mouths. Some of the smiles looked like goblin faces. One character looked like a female Golem.
- Fantastic concept spoiled....the dev could have done SO MUCH more with this idea. Instead the "achieve your desires" is quickly established and then just used as a plot device to let the MC fuck everything (although there are a few "moments" in Part I where the Artifact is shown to "trigger").
- RPGM engine is somewhat abused. Run around a large town to complete quests. Just . . . no.
Bad:
- Story . . . not much of one.
- Characters . . . no real development. The MC just runs around putting his dick in everyone (and, yes, I mean everyone). So it was like watching animated porn, because you aren't drawn to the characters. Strange to say, but apparently I want a VN porn game to let me get to know the characters so there's some attachment during the H-scenes. Otherwise I may as well watch actual porn.
- The MC has old-man-balls. Watching that scrotum flop around in nearly every animation . . . just . . . please . . . no.
- Mini-games . . . I just found them utterly annoying. I think this is probably a binary preference thing -> you either enjoy having time consuming puzzles / fights or you just want to move along. There were too many and just . . . . I don't need practice using my mouse and pressing keys.
Summary:
- As much as one can say playing a porn game isn't a waste of time, this WAS a somewhat entertaining way to burn 4-6 hours. But compared to other games I've played, it doesn't rank at the top. Give it a try, though. It does provide some enjoyment. Gets a "near miss" because the renderings, animations and concept were so good . . . but the negatives dragged it down.
