Ren'Py - The Awakening [v0.4.4a] [SLim Games]

This Review is based with my personal experience with the actual Version of the game 0.2b and the prologue , with my specific opinions and feelings .

To write a review for this game was not so easy , because this game is completely divided in two different parts , the prologue and a second one , that is the restart of the game with new setting and a new and better kind of gameplay and engine . So my attention about this review it will be mostly about the second part , writing about the Developer efforts and courage to restyle all , to give all players the sensation to have a revamp game absolutely better than before in the prologue.
Story-plot describe what happens to main character ,that after a car incident and two years coma , wakes up without remembering nothing . The prologue starts from this Awakening in the the hospital where the MC was and the second part restarts from last actions of prologue , in a new apartment , different locations , with characters with a similar but improve render and graphic

Pros :
-Story : Is interesting and original , with some ideas ( no spoiler ) really particular , because here the Dev was able to mix some different themes like , magic and fantasy in a modern contest .
Also the script is pretty good without error , to help and follow better the develop of the story
-Gameplay: it's one of the best part of game ; nice to play and easy , not complicated at all , everything is fluid and any players will be able to understand all immediately without any help or walktrough.
-Character : Girls are really sexy beautiful and hot ; a player must download this game just for this reason
-Graphic : Excellent , big attentions to all small details
-Renders and animations: Probably the best part of the game , ad example so nice and original the possibility to view the same animation with different angulation and point of view , to make all more true ; sometimes seems literally that characters are breathing , that are looking at you , moving the head , the eyes , the body.
-Sex scenes :We are at the top of what you can find in the our F95 Forum , extremely erotic and sexy
-Music and voice : Not easy to find games where is included nice music and especially the voices for character ( not all completed ) ; this is always for me a plus , because also other senses are important in a game , not only the view.

Cons
-Contents: The Author's choice to restart the game , has sacrificed the possibility to have new and more content and this is the only reason because the game suffer a little and actual time of playing is not enough to make The Awakening the perfect adult game ; but this is a provisional thing because with next updates the Dev , will be able to give all thinks ( setting , content ,situations ) that game lacks now.

Overall , this is a game without any doubt worth to play , but especially , if I think how it will be the game in next updates , is of course a 5 Stars review.
First impact when i finished the prologue i felt my self completely displaced , because i didn't know that the second part was a restart and not a continuation of the game ; so i was confused but I reflected about reasons that drove the author to take this choice :he wanted to make a better work for himself , bur especially for all players ,to give in next months ( and probably years ) a better game to play , that it would not been possible to make in the same way with the previous version of the Prologue. For this reason i have only to applaud for his courage because he showed a great technical ability to understand the better path for his work.
For all these reason , I wait with impatience next updates , because the game showed us just a small part of his potential and I recommend to all gamer to play The Awakening : I'm sure that nobody will be disappointed.

I'm fairly optimistic about this game. The models are nice and their proportions are not horribly skewed. The main character, despite the whole fairy thing, isn't an over the top horndog like most of the main characters in incest games are (or most Ren'Py VNs for that matter). The game feels like its inspired by Milfy City with the use of animations and pretty simple and non frustrating mini games.

The real kicker is the use of voice actresses for some of the roles. While the VA use is more prevalent in the prologue vs the actual game, the commitment to providing something different really shows.

Ok, this one has a LOT potential! Really nicely done and quite unique.
Played the prologue and now this new one...
Some of the models were prettier in Prologue! And ferry was better(more mature and less goofy).
Animations are amazing! Sex scenes also incredible! Better then games that earn 100x more!!!

There are of course some problems(mainly script) but... I decided to give this game a 5 star because of the potential and overall feel! Currently there is more then enough "sex"scenes. I prefer more of a build up...

Absolutely one of the best games to play at this moment.

Not because of the originality of the story. It is about another teenage kid who wants to fuck his mother, his sister, his neighbour, his teacher, his classmates or basically anything female that comes across. The story is told entertainingly enough though.

Not because there is a pixie in it. We have seen that before, and honestly, a much better one in a game I am not allowed to mention here.

What makes this game stand out from all the others is the quality of the renders and the animations. Or rather, the animated renders. No still pictures in this, the characters seem to breathe, to be looking at you, they move their heads and bodies. Absolutely breath taking. And the girls are stunning.

Maybe in a year or less, this will be the standard for games like this. But at the moment, this one is the first as far as I know. Enjoy!

The women are Hot as hell.
Like the way that you find different stuff laying around,and that you receive as a bonus a sexy photo which you can watch on your computer.
Also like the other built in Games that are not hard to play and are fun.

It is definitely worth the download.

Extra Points:

This game maintains an extremely high standard for quality in terms of graphics, animations and voiceovers. The girls are really hot and the erotic scenes are amazingly well done. The thing I appreciate the most about this game is its attention to details - right now there isn't a lot of content in there but however much there is, it's done with extreme care. If it maintains its standards for quality it could easily equal or even surpass the best games (can't name them specifically, F95Zone review policy) on F95Zone. I wish all the best to the dev.

Actually, it's just a small world based on the usual suspects/locations to free roam so far (v0.2a) but handsome cast, decent writing and fancy 2D effects made it kinda special to me. I think it's worth playing once again later on.

After playing the last update i think i have to be fair and remove my previous review, though i rated it 5 stars i said i like more the old versión, i think somehow the pacing was more to my liking, more vn like maybe.
After finishing the game and seeing for myself the way the game is going now i actually love the new interface, box text etc
is kinda more actually to date (modern) and is pretty easy.
I like to have the pone App for hints on what to do next, the travel navigation is very easy too. The game is not grindy and that is certainly something to mention, since many of us dont like grindy games, this game is pretty friendly for the users and relies more into tell the story/ content rather than keeping us grinding for content (no need for cheats here, Yayy)

One thing that make this game different from the usual vns is the "kind of breathing type" when you are in a dialogue with a npc.
So that is a very nice plus , the renders & girls are done with very good quality and the animations too, making this game in my opinión a 5 stars and something to love & support .

In summary A must play for anyone that likes games with quality and good content.

Edit 12 dec 2020: Like so many other adult games in development this game has turned from a great one to a terrible one, I can only speculate as to why this is so common, and I am guessing the developers run out of ideas or they lose motivation in the game(but still want to continue developing).

This game was one of my favorites(as you can see in my other review) but since then it has turned into a kinetic novel without any choices, added severl disgusting and unlikable women that you are forced to have a relationship and sex with(even before your intresets, especially the mom and sister), very little content with the "main girls" and the overall writing and scene quality is awful. So 3/10 is what I currently rate the game at, have a hard time seeing it getting any better, unless the redo these awful parts added in the most recent updates.

This game is great, and I really like the voice-acting in it, it's sexy and fits the characters very well, my fav is the little sister, she's super hot. The game has a standard porny story but the writing fits it, I would have prefered an incest patch instead of naming the characters because sometimes things doesn't really fit, incest-wise, and in my opinion the patch-road is always better for the writing. The renders are great and has some well-made animations too, with sounds to them, at least in the prologue.

The thing I did not like in this game is the way they made it in different parts, the "prologue" was my fav part but your choices doesn't follow you to the "new" version, and the story just starts in the middle, which was a strange decision, the new version is also very good, but it feels off that nothing fits from the prologue you just played.

Overall I will give the game 8,5/10, a big plus goes to the voice-acting which is so rare in these games, but actually adds a lot of value to the sexiness.

really high quality stuff. decent story. very nice graphics and the animations are superb, definitely one of the best.there is also voice acting which im not a super fan of(so used to reading text ).well u can always turn it off. gameplay is super smooth. overall a very good game. try it out!

Has beautiful animations, I love the corruption mechanic, and I love the sleep scenes. This has a lot of promise, I'm really looking forward to the next release, and more action for the fairie (I found out I have a thing for Fairies from Long Live the Princess).

The animations at the beggining are very bad. But they get A LOT better later on.

Models also looks nice. I just don't know why the landlady was changed to look older. she was perfect, now shes a 8/10 MILF

The plot is good enough and the story well written.

Unfortunately there is not enough content and even though I love minigames, I think he could have done a much better job at this.

Okay, I finally managed to play this game (as well as the "prologue") and I have to say I really enjoyed this game. I like the art, the renders, the story, and the premise. Tbth, I kinda have a thing for Faeries and Pixies- so this is a win in my book. Oh, and accident-prone, clumsy redheads with British accents... Rowwwrrrr. Lol AND having a game with a younger, blonde "roommate" doesn't hurt, either. Lol (Roommate...yeah, okay.)

I have to give the Dev credit- yeah, he went back and re-did everything...BUT he didn't start the new version from square one. I think making the previous version the prologue and the newer one a continuation of that was pretty smart. He, more or less, kept everything in canon with a few "I didn't make that decision originally, but oh well" moments. It still stands up as a solid game and sequel.

I am torn about which version of Autumn Wingleaf (the Fae) I like better. The other one was more traditional, but I have to say the Goth updated one is pretty cute too... Hopefully, we'll get to "interact" with her in the future. heh heh

I, also, like the VA- it's a nice touch. Although, I didn't know it was in the game and had to look around my apartment when I started hearing someone talking...considering I'm the only one that's supposed to be in here- that kinda caught me off-guard. Lol

This as well as its prequal are really amazing games. The idea of the xray in a lot of instances is such an amazing aspect. It was probably the thing I liked most about glassix. The art is fantastic, and the body shapes are real (decent amount of medium and small boobs). I like the direction its going with the openness to go where you want.

Really enjoying it so far and i have alot of fun with the custom names and relations as you can get quite silly. just wish the protag could have one more letter in his name

this is where the games weakness lies imo, the voiceacting while being a nice idea isn't really holding up. the lines often feel unnatural in the conversations or are without the correct emotion in them.

This is why I stopped supporting Devs of these kind of games but instead support creators on the likes of Kickstarter.I got tired of Devs stop updating their original game and starting it from scratch again.All the money I gave the Devs seemed to be pointless when at the end of it I had nothing to show for my money but a game started once again with little to no content and a number of Devs seem to do this!At least with Kickstarter I know I'm guaranteed to receive rewards for supporting the creators!

This is a prime example of awesome game development. Story is good, (dialog is slightly lacking) characters are diverse, music is appropriate, voiced with cute sounding voice actors, art and renders are great (the animations look pretty good and probably took an eternity to render) I actually plan to fund this game. A+ Devs!

This game is really special. It combines some of the best things about many other games into one. The text is well written and logical. The artwork is fantastic and the animation makes this game really special. I also really enjoy the voice over. Most games don't have it and it really adds to the whole game. The "land lady" and the "roommate" are hands down awesome. Right now there isn't a ton of content but if this game continues, it will surely be one of the best out there.

I really like this game. Incest as always is a fetish that so many people love not sure why but we do.

The render quality is good and the animations as in when the mom talks to the MC is a very nice surprise.

Not to crazy about the voice overs but I don't hate it.

Love that you can play as another character (mom) and hear her thoughts. The little fairy is a nice touch and hopefully we get more of her in the future.
The mom and daughter are hot well so are most of the models in the game. Always a plus.

Seriously give this game a try if you have not done so.
