looks a bit like it due to the low resolution ^^. but it doesn't have the "point per point" shadow quality like e.g. yuno or little my maid has.

No, I saw it too. It's the style of the drawings. The hair and eyes are typical of 80s-90s animation styles.

You're not the only one. The style is obviously a call-back to 90s art style.

I wish that more VN's used it. Nothing against the "modern" look, but I prefer variety.

Well, it is an Otome game. A game meant for girls (In this case, Japanese girls). Have no idea if girls outside of Japan have a universal like for these kind of male personas. But it is pretty common for them to make these kind of male characters on Otome games for their female audiences in Japan.

They did not cater the story for the average male mindset to enjoy easily that's for sure.
