Corruption, one of the best tags, right? There's so many good games, comics, animations. But, everyone has different tastes when it comes to the execution and sometimes doing it haphazardly can ruin the whole thing.
So with that in mind I ask you, what's the best corruption progression for you? I'm not just talking about the physical aspects, but the whole journey through reluctant participant to willing cumdumpster. What do you guys think makes the whole thing tick? What are the things that turn you away from it or ruin it for you?
And of course, what's the best example you can think of?

Cheating female MC: Curse of Kubel is pretty good, thanks to focusing on a single stealer, in fact a single sex partner through the entire game. He's not very sophisticated or deep, but he sure knows how to break MC down.

Cuck male MC: APBLU for relatively quick and well-written sex-based corruption. HC2 for something slower.

HPMF: MC gives them mind-melting sex and gets into their heads afterwards. Aggressive netori corruption that doesn't feel unearned, good stuff.

When it comes to corruption for me it's about possession or "ownership", jealously corrupting a girl towards your tastes, the ol' "making her pussy remember the shape of your cock" thing.

I can't stand it when there's a tawdry gangbang scenario where you allow her to get fucked by other dudes with no consideration, she's not just some toy to be played with with little to no care, If there is a case where she does get fucked by somebody else then there better be some compelling psychological reason behind it, it has to be done right.



When it comes to impregnation I want my protagonist to be the one doing it ideally.

If that isn't the case for story reasons, etc then having a complete stranger to her being able to impregnate her is hot from a psychological standpoint, the idea of a fully conscious girl having a baby with a man she doesn't even know is sexy and I would like to see her tortured by the fact that she's carrying around someone's baby with the father's identity only being known by me. I like it when she has disdain or even near hatred towards a character but can't help but feel it when having sex with him, the character can't be a piece of shit delinquent however or some scumbag. I do like abuse of power and opportunism, for example a businessman takes over her father's factory "helping" to finance it with "very favourable terms", then behind her father's back in an act of ultimate betrayal she's an unspoken part of that bargain, the businessman may even be close friends with the father and go golfing together for additional bonus points.

I like underhanded options masked with a veneer of honourable intention, blackmail where you "just want to help".

No drugs or drunkenness, she must be fully conscious of everything that's happening to her and fight it, no mind break at all, she's got to feel it all down to her very soul. If she happens to become yours after it all then that's fair but having a broken doll is no fun for anyone, it's extremely dissatisfying! The knowledge that she's been broken makes all my feelings null-and-void if I'm honest and my interest evaporates.

besides the mc/fmc break, there's a couple of main branches of corruction which work slightly differently. one where corruption is achieved through magical or other means that the victim has no power over, or what I view as real corruption which is about manipulating the victim through suggestion or trauma to change her behaviour against her initial values. I only have interest in the latter type and male mcs.

what ruins it for me is when they give in early or/and completely. the sweet spot for me is the struggle, and when that stops I lose interest. so even after they become cum dumpsters I'd like them to retain some level of resistance, even if simply symbolic as in complaining about the abuse yet always agreeing to it.

in fact now that I think about it, that contrast between their internal urges and external behaviour is pretty important for me. even the darkest, most evil creatures should have some seed of redeeming qualities to prevent them from becoming one-dimensional.

I also do like the mc having an arc to his own corruption, preferably starting from a good or at least normal guy, then gradually through his own choices becoming more and more immoral and eventually objectively a monster. and although most people seem to hate it, I like him being delusional about his own degradation and thinking he's a 'good guy' despite all the evidence to him being a monster. again that idea of internal contrast. on surface he's a rapist and sadist, inside he has his excuses, and under that there always was a seed of evil already back before he started making questionable choices.

One of my faves and Magetano is <3. MC is a bit of an idiot. One of the longest sorts of corruption and FMC is overpowered but gets taken down gradually by a handsome bastard. It fucking hurts, man. A+++, this is the more realistic, better kind that makes you cry in a bed forever. Writing is also good.

has the more interactive kind where you can sorta cock-block the bastard. FMC is a bit of an idiot. Due to the many routes, the corruption here is quicker and FMC isn't as "strongly" in love with MC. Ryouka is hot, scenes are very decent, but the large variety hampers the NTR, since you only have so much attention and resources to spend on routes. Sometimes it feels like netorase because Ryouka just falls for whoever after a few sweet words. If Scars had longer details on the NTR, Ryouka had voiced H (and not the BG moans), I'd give it A+++ for its novel concept, otherwise, A+.

is a dev that features corruption with RPG Maker gameplay. Corruption is very quick, with heroine almost gone by the 3rd scene. Great for people that want to get in and done within minutes, meh if you're looking for realistic romance. A

Personally for me, I prefer more Curse of Kubel, where it's a damn long burn with no way out. It even has voice acting and small gameplay parts that are quick, but not too bothersome.

Now, if you’re interested in games in development:
My game, Heartsworn Abyss, is a voiced, long-form VN netorare. It’s so slow and gradual, MC and FMC haven’t even met yet. Good if you like a proactive FMC who fights back against ugly bastards. Also good if you’re an oil king looking for a NTR to invest in. :3

I much prefer it to be sneaky, information should be guarded as it can be used against you and the more people that know something the more easily the truth will get out possibly to your detriment.

A Spell For All. Normally not a huge fan of games that lazily use live photos and live action since it's almost always done poorly. ASFA does an unusually good job of avoiding the worst of the tropes. Only problem is that it's pretty linear and has a lotta that "Rub on everything" syndrome you see in point n' click adventures.

Overseer. Old, old RAGs engine game- hats off to you if you can get it to run- with a hive mind corruption scenario. Really shows both it's age and the fact that RAGs was discontinued for a reason; the game barely runs on the poor thing. Game's so old it doesn't even have an F95 entry.

Another ancient RAGs game. Can't even find a download link that works anymore. Was fun, considering the technology available in 2009.

First of all, I prefer male MC and fairly focused on a singular or a small cast of leading ladies. Which is a very different kink than female PoV imo.

I'm definitely in camp psychological manipulation and boundary pushing. Someone brought up getting entangled in a spider's web and that is the perfect analogy here. Reeling the poor little prey in bit by bit as they struggle to escape the web but fail. For this reason I also really love playing authority figures, it gives you a logical place to work towards that kink from.

The core of the kink for me is changing who someone is and what they value. That works best when the target has a strong character to begin with and they are, on some level, cognizant of the changes occurring. I want the girl to realize that she is losing herself but not be able to reel herself back in.

Finally, I think slow burn is vital, but it has to be a sexy slow burn. Honestly I feel like not enough attention is paid to female pleasure in the corruption genre. The classic handy, blowjob, titjob, anal, vag cycle isn't going to break anyone. My ideal corruption game includes a LOT of content focused around teasing, arousing, and pleasuring the target.

Princess Tower is a perfect example of this last point. The game managed to make an otherwise fully Clothed girl being allowed to sit on a couch without her chastity belt on hit harder than most full on porn scenes.

My controversial opinion is, while I quite like corruption, I hate the personality change/degredation and mind control stuff. In my mind when I think of corruption it's about a deeply reppressed person becoming their true self, leaving behind the rules of society and what not to become who you truly are and do what you want to do, with the corruption being a good thing that improves their life, which can be tricky since it seems like so much corruption stuff is just "manly man does mind control for sex" or "ego death to make a person just worse" both of which I find really gross

The ideal corruption (of a female) arc to me is basically the same as the NTR arc. So we're talking FMC corruption/NTR or male MC Japanese style NTR games.

1. Establish the original state. Morals, values, existing relationships, daily routines, profession, backstory, setting, etc.
2. Establish how the antagonist gets his hooks into her.
3. Sexual pleasure/magic/drugs/mind control/blackmail/manipulation/plain seduction gradually breaks down her defenses.
4. Changing priorities and appearance of female.
5. Breaking point where she "falls."
6. Indulge in the fallen state with some juicy scenes.
7. If in the context of NTR, the NTR reveal goes somewhere in the ending sequence.

Since I like corruption in NTR, the betrayal of her relationship is a big part of the corruption, but it's much better when there is another facet to her fall from grace. It's best if her values and personality is well established in the set up phase and her eventual betrayal of those values are explored in depth.

When it comes to Male MC non-NTR games with corruption tag, what I really want to play is the male MC's own slow corruption arc. I've never seen this done in a satisfactory manner on par with female MC corruption. I want to play through a VN where the MC starts out as a moral and good guy who goes through some stuff (maybe gang related, or a magic book, or some supernatural shit, etc etc) and has to gradually deal with tempations of power and/or having to make tough decisions that make it very hard to follow his moral code. Eventually, he turns into a power tripping corruptor. There are no shortages of games that have this set up, but what they all lack is the slow corruption and moral struggles in the middle. They pretty much instantly turn into a sex fiend or never really get corrupted fully.

For me, the best kind of corruption arc is one that involves moral degeneration without mind-altering gimmicks such as alcohol, drugs or mind-control. Nothing forced either, though use of incentives is fine. Basically, I like stories where a kind, ideally relatable (geeky, reserved etc.) woman is exposed to a corruptor (ideally male) who gradually talks her into changing her values to be more self-centered, cruel etc. The important thing is to do it in a way where it makes good sense that she's receptive to the corruptor's influence, none of her reactions feel contrived or OOC. The corruptor can use things like Stockholm Syndrome (in this case mostly keeping her away from opposing opinions) and some gaslighting, though outright lies cheapen the whole thing. The more honest and sensible the corruption is, the better, as it reinforces the "evil triumphs over good" theme.

The "relatable" part I brought up earlier helps not only with better understanding the corruptee's thought processes (if like me you have barely any understanding of extroverts), but also helps in a way to "ntr" the player as the corruptee gradually loses those traits.

For me I tend to stay away from games that use "magic" and "drugs" or outside elements to help corrupt someone. For me its really just 3 things.

- Realistic or logical reactions to advances. I know a lot of games rely on "porn logic" however having the character react in a realistic or disgust way adds to the appeal of wanting to corrupt her. Atleast for me it does. I might have a thing for bitch girls.

- Good and even pacing in the timeline of corruption. I notice some games have decent pacing then after 1 advance suddenly the character is down on her knees sucking everyone off in the village. A lot of jumps of logic and inconsistent pacing to get the character to be more slutty than they really are.

- Character retains her personality. A lot of corruption games after a certain point just make the character into a generic slut doll, all of her personality quirks basically disappear and she just becomes some generic fuckdoll with zero personality apart from the horny slut archetype. And I know that's kind of the whole goal of these type of games I like it when characters still retain their personality, their specific quirks or sayings, react the way they would that is true to their character ect, it just feels way more engaging and immersive to me that way.

I mean I do see how a story of emansipation could have almost identical form to corruption. like some outside well-meaning educator enabling the liberation. I guess that's what the people falling for cults think they're getting into, only to eventually find out they've become fucktoys for the cult leader.

NEXIVM comes to mind right away. they sold the idea of personal growth in self-actualization seminars, and the women ended up into a system of slave girl fucktoys branding new girls with the cult leader's initials. like he had this whole system set up where hot women had the job of gathering new hot recruits, entangling them to blackmail through 'trust exercises', and passing them up to next level of indoctrinated slave girls to be branded. and he was just sitting up there at the top fucking them while the members did all the dirty work.

Interesting. I've seen this type of corruption cliche girls read in fanfics-virgin catholic school girl and bad boy, which ends up in romance. It's sweet when guy make girl feel confident about her body and encourage her in healthy way to explore her sexuality and kinks. Personally, I prefer Fifty Shades of Grey type of story. Men like Christian exist in life but the only difference is that they won't offer you a lovey-dovey happily ever after.
