VN - Ren'Py - The Big Step [v0.8] [Partedes]

There's dumb, there's dumber and there's the dumbest and sadly that is the case here. This game and characters are so retarded that any sex scene is just bad, there's no build-up, no story direction, just incoherent pornography that just doesn't work. Renders are decent but not decent enough for me to rate it higher. It can't even be called a game even because we have fake choices here, it's a kinetic novel (and bad one at that). A waste of space.

Did not like:
--Many characters look too young, like they're in Jr High instead of high school/college! [most scenes look more like High School, than any normal college ]
--excessive & often inappropriate use of "pervert" (some other bad devs been doing this, they need to learn English better!)
Look it up! Example: A man is not a "Pervert" just b/c they look at a woman. [regardless of whether they clothed or nude]
Same thing F -> M; (animals are NAKED & look at each other, but noone calls them perverts)
Even Nude photos of minors (depends on what part of world you're in) Some would say "perverted" ("porn, etc") but, some cases have gone to court, & where that is *CONSENT*, [very important!] ruled "NOT ..." [Not porn, not perverted, etc]

"you damn pervert, bad friend!" [LOL! 1st use? appropriate here (cucumber) but still VERY funny, she wasn't trying to be mean about it. (Sam's nicest girl in story ]

I WOULD HOPE (maybe I'm wrong?) that those in the Adult community [includes those that make/play adult games, regardless of age] would be mature enough to NOT be easily offended, & very rarely call someone "pervert" or other names [but then again, from what I've read on some boards, loosing hope...]
--"freshmen/sophomores"--that's a HS/JH, NA,NOT college

-Books? backpack? etc [lockers too, generally JR H/HS, NOT college (sports don't count)]
-5 people in a class?!? [even for JrH/HS, not realistic!

-dev has cum fetish? [too much cumplay/cumshots etc ugh (oh, yes qualifies as "perversion", but player didn't ask for it..)]
--few choices: Would've like to have seen a LOT more choices! (many scenes some might not like, maybe make them a CHOICE? Example, Anal rape.)
--lots of "nastiness" [often too much] but very little actual nudity (outside sex); (women willing to do sexual stuff in public generally have no problems w nudity) Example: maybe have girls serve topless/bottomless/nude (1 day/week?) M nudity seems to be mostly around drugs/acohol; How about some w/o?

-LOVE??? Seems the only love in this story, is some M ->, & it's unrequited. Would be nice to see love stuff (not a dating sim, but like good movies at least 1 love story..) [hopefully NOT w someone who's MARRIED!]

This is THE best VN on this site, it is so 'engaging', it got me hooked from the first few scenes.
The story is at an excellent pace, and lewdness is lurking all the time. The caracters are superbebly written, with a lot of variety and taste for everyone. It relates so much to a possible 'real world', it's scary...
Also I'm a sucker for thicc nubile body type women, but the very slender blond girl in this VN has made me rethink my choise of pixeled LI

THE GOLD STANDARD

I never wrote a review before, I'm only doing it now because I want this game to continue and be successful. I think this game is the gold standard of the games I like. Yes it's linear, yes it's formulaic, yes the characters are braindead, but that's what I want. I understand and support people who want complex, quest ridden, and map filled games but some of us just want to get to the good bits. I think what sets this game apart other than the quality is the quantity of content. Every new update is top-tier and comparable to what some games achieve in their entire run.

If I'm being critical for my personal tastes I would like fewer consensual encounter, early on it felt that's were the game was going but it has strayed from that. It's not a big deal, what we have been getting is great and I wouldn't want to change that for all the characters. Just some characters and in certain situations would make the game that much better and varied. I'm also not the biggest fan of the "humor" tag but if it lets the developer unwind and stay motivated I'll gladly put up with it.

If all games had this level of talent and quality I would be so happy. Just keep up the good work.

Excellent Adult VN, and also a bit of fun, great models, animation improving all the time, so many tags being ticked, loved to see Sam double stuffed by BBC's but that is just a personal thing..hahahaha keep it up

Honestly not a bad game, interesting "corruption" style game. You have choices, but also not too many game altering ones.
I personally with you did have more choice over genuinely saying no as there are some unavoidable scenes.

Characters are nice actually, very diverse. I kinda enjoy the reformed bully route one of them is taking too.

Excellent. Game has great characters and great sex scenes. Good writing and story telling. Only thing is it is very linear and it's really only a VN. Look forward to more episodes of this one. Favorite characters from developers last game make appearances as well.

I started this game without great expectations, but it surprises me. An indeed very erotic Visual Novel with so much build up and tension. The look of the women is realistic (almost), diverse and sensual, the writting is pure enternainment with comedy, drama and erotism. In the begining, the only problem was the animations, they were very simple to tell the least athough the sound effects helped a lot to make them better, but after Version 0.6 we can see the Dev improved a lot in the animation department. The MC (Samantha) is all we wish for a corruption journey, she's kind, naive, beautiful, sex and most important, innocent. The sex scenes are now well animated with good sound effects. Now, this game worries me only in one thing: the copyright. I hope nobody issues the Dev, it's an amazing game with beautifull songs. Best Lucky and more patrons for this Dev, the guy is a machine in the development.

The VN isn't labelled as a kinetic novel with no choice, at least none I encountered in the first hour or so of the story. The story is full of porn logic, and the "college" is clearly a high school filled with high school archetypal characters.

The quality of the models seem ok, but without a story to carry them they feel like cardboard cutouts.

This is as good as it gets with corruption AVNs. Sam's gradual fall into degradation is wonderfully written. The side characters are all interesting and atypical for the genre. Everything is overly sexual, far past the point of realism - but this is an AVN to escape, not meant for hyper-realistic melodrama.

The listed fetishes are all present and accounted for, and none of them are lightly touched. If you are here because you followed a specific tag, you'll walk away happy. This feels extremely rare with AVNs with so many fetishes. Touch on one kink one time, check the box, and then never see it again. I can say that as of v0.8, every single tag is hit at least 2-3 times.

I feel like I found this late, but I'm jumping on the subscriberstar and will follow the project to completion.

It is as good as visual novels can get. I am not a fan of the genre and lack of actual gameplay or choice, as you just read the story and pass through. But it is better to play this than waste time on some fashion business. Multiple girls with intertwined stories, readable text, gradual corruption, hot scenes. The ugly FMC at the beginning is a bait, as she takes off the baggy clothing and is looking okay, and there are few more females that are decent looking. The game seems to be close to completion with few more updates to the end.

P.s. This game is lacking gallery feature.

This is an unusual review for me because story is normally one of my most important factors. This game doesn't really have much of a story though, it feels more like a sequence of random day-in-the-life events in a particularly perverted and lighthearted world.

The main character, Samantha is extremely hot, but also very naive and submissive. This makes for an amazing combination, and all of her scenes are awesome. I'm not as interested in the other characters, but I do like that they're very visually diverse.

I should also note that I was a little worried when I saw that the game is originally written in Spanish, but was pleased to see that the English translation is excellent - I wouldn't have noticed that the game is translated at all if I hadn't looked at the code (I guess the game also defaults to Spanish IIRC, but I had forgotten that once I started playing).

Just finished v0.8 and I’m completely hooked. Partedes is operating on a different wavelength right now. The renders are flawless – Sam is hands-down one of the hottest, most perfectly innocent-looking FMCs on the site, and every other girl is just as stunning. The writing is genuinely funny, the dialogue flows naturally, and the corruption is paced so well you feel every little step deeper into depravity. That fourth-wall break where she negotiates swallowing directly with YOU, the player? I actually paused the game because I was laughing and hard at the same time. Absolute genius moment.

Look, I’ll be honest: I’m not the biggest fan of completely unavoidable scenes (some of the bus stuff and certain group moments hit whether you want them or not), and real branching is basically nonexistent – choices are mostly “see the scene now or later.” A proper gallery and smoother animations would also be welcome. But here’s the thing: when the scenes are this hot, the buildup this satisfying, and the updates this massive and 0.7 to 0.8 in under three weeks with a mountain of new content, those complaints feel like nitpicking. The highs completely blow the minor annoyances out of the water.

If you love watching a sweet girl get deliciously corrupted step by irresistible step, with top-tier renders and writing that never wastes your time, you owe it to yourself to play The Big Step right now. Partedes is cooking at an insane level and I’m already counting the days until v0.9. Instant classic.

Well what to say... One of the best games ever in my opinion even though it has barelly began. After the banger It is not a World of Alisha the dev releases another amazing game with so much quality, quality script and the return of some of the participants from the first game . Thank you Partedes you are one of the top devs outhere!

One of the rare genuinely good games, well balanced story that's not too fast paced or slow paced, obviously fantastic character models, definitively a top game with tons of content you should check out.

A lot of developers get lost trying to add every feature imaginable to a game. Massive graphics, story mechanics etc. The Big Step is more like a pepperoni pizza. All good part, simple, easy and satisfies everyone.
There's not a lot of filler. There are no wrong choices. You get what you show up for and that's brilliant.

Special shout out to the pace of development. I've been seeing this game on the latest update section pretty often. I thought, eh maybe they're micromanaging with small updates? WRONG.

I played v0.7 18 days ago and today v0.8 came out. Woah, no joke this developer added a ton of content. Back to the pepperoni pizza analogy. A lot of developers expand the scope of their game as development goes on. You can tell that Partedes knows the scope of this game and is sticking to it.

To me this consistent quality and fast pace say that this developer isn't stressing, they know what they're doing and they're having a good time getting there. At least that's what I feel when I play the game. I love it. It's such a good time. I can't wait to see what comes next for the story and most of all for the developer. Awesome work!!!

If you want a rapey game where all the girls get molested by old or dirty, stinky men, then this is the game for for you. About 90% of all the male characters are rapists or practice some form of sexual misconduct without the fictional setting required for you to be able to suspend your disbelief.

While the character models are attractive, the female characters that aren't assholes act like total morons literally all the time. A girl gets raped then becomes a slut immediately after, a girl is scared of another one who made her get eaten out so she goes to live in a homeless encampment alone, another girl gets a chance to move away from her shitty situation, then turns it down because "pride" even though keeping that pride means being near a bunch of creeps.

Very good game. It hits all of my fantasies and I hope the story continues to be interesting. The pace of the game is great. The frequency o the upload so far has been relatively good. I hope that continues because I can't wait..

for me, if this is point click type of game where u can go back to places from time to time, and having a slightly better animation than it has now... i can give this a easily 5 but for now its a 3 but its still good anyway tho.
