Gotta say the game was disappointing,expected a very different medieval fantasy here,redeeming the hero was not even enough to actually get closer on a natural way to the Princess,committing to one of the girls the Sorcerer or Sparrow doesn't have any kind of repercussions save a few scattered dialogue.

The general point of the gameplay was capturing all of these people which was awkward as hell if you didn't really want to side with the Lich since the very beginning...and of course letting them go only makes you look incompetent sometimes you don't even get an option cause that Spira girl appears and kills you.

Speaking about the right hand of the Lich she was a really awful character,we didn't get a chance to get closer to her,understand why she is following her boss or where she comes from.
A shell of a character that gravely suffered for the fast pace of the game.

Side characters like the woman that handles the shop or the original keeper of the Book of Bondmaids are completely left on the background with a single conversation each and no mature content for them at all.

The game was beyond saving for me when you reach the final confrontation,a random girl appears(did she even get screen time before) and tortures our guy supposedly on behalf of past grievances and the rebel army,which made no sense if you choose to help them since the beginning,it was a really unpleasant moment and completely out of context.

Who the hell cared for that lass revenge?Did it even need screen time at all?

Getting exiled at the end didn't help making the redemption arc less worthless...

Some female characters have huge plot armours to the point it is absolutely ridiculous.

I actually agree with you on many points, the game seems kinda underdeveloped in some story departments, some characters are underutilized and some plots are insufficiently explored.

However, the girl torturing the protagonist which you say is "random" and didn't get screen time before actually appears in the first or second quest of the game, you actually have to capture her because she is the daughter of what is supposed at that point (and proven true later) to be the leader of the rebellion. She is captured by you and the Lich's witch and tortured inside the Lich's dungeon. I agree that maybe she could have gotten a bit more development between this quest and the ending (she is mentioned by the princess, though), but it could also be seen as a "plot twist" device somehow. But to say she was a random girl that didn't got screen time one in fact there is one whole quest dedicated to her at the beginning of the game - that's quite incorrect. She needed screen time because she was the only "convincing" tie with the leaders of the rebellion due to the fact that her dad "The Toymaker" (the de facto leader of the rebellion) doesn't appear at all. They needed a face for the rebellion, not only Sparrow who was one your side anyway.


As I said in my review, the game is far from perfect and even seems rushed at times, but I rated it 5/5 (which is underserved if we didn't compare it with other adult games) because it's a breath of fresh air among the classical Japanese/anime/hentai inspired games, cheap 3D models adult visual novels and other games of this sort. In my opinion we need more western adult games, more games in which physical proportions are realistic, not caricaturized, more ADULT games where sex is a part of the story and it doesn't revolve fully around the sex. Games from which you could extract the adult content and still be left with a good game to play. Yes, this game has many, many flaws, some of which you already mentioned, but it's a step in the right direction.

It is underdeveloped and it doesn't reach its full potential, but the good parts are remarkable.

I'd be curious to hear what adult games do you consider to be much better than this one from a story perspective, and this is a genuine question (you can message me in private or write here, if the rules allow it). I made my account several days ago because I wanted to find more games like this one or even better than this one, but I don't like anything Japanese nor most 3D visual novels. Touché on that mate,forgot completely about that barely fleshed out storyline,being the daughter of the rebellion's leader that gets captured...and she wanted revenge for that...A victim coming out seeking retribution is a good idea but executed very poorly(and by that point your hero's morality if you persue the redemption route has completely turned around,leaving a bitter feeling getting the exact same scene as the other paths,quite unjust truly).

Which I wonder is why no one finds out she magically kidnapping the protagonist(and try to stop her) surely there are Rebel soldiers that actually know the MC is working for them on that possible route more than Sparrow,even the behaviour the Princess has on that scene is just so passive so uncaring which does not reflect the player's efforts on getting close to her,she should care a tad more when she sees the MC tortured brutally.

Gotta admit the art was godamn amazing and the concept a dream for us fans of fantasy settings,the story for me did not live up to my few set expectations.

On a fantasy setting there were some jewels that I remember warmly,there was some 2d parody Disney like game where you met classic characters like Snow White and the Evil Queen but with an engaging story full of fun innuendos and even some time travelling on the middle,Fairy Tail adventures is easily among my all time favourites.

Without the 2d style can also give some mentions,I did enjoyed Peasant Quest even if its storyline was really dispersed so not the best example,Love Season the remake of Farmer's dreams has a really lovely and wholesome storyline,Summer's gone has quite the interesting set up,Price of Power where you and your noble childhood friend sweetheart go explore an uncharted continent,A Knight's Tale where you take control of a married landed Knight discovering the world little by little.

And there was this game which name I have forgotten,where you are the heir to the Lord of Lionheart the principal defenders of the Kingdom,you can resolve problems through intrigue,trade or martial progress and establish the relationships you want with your servants, commoners,family and fellow nobles it looks great so far and has delivered with each update.

Still there are little to none porn fantasy setting games that I know that are not on development yet the potential those have and how much those shine completely vanquish this project.
