Someone figured a fix for this in the discord. Go to your latest save file (Records, and then any file other than 1, which is the autosave) and open Records.dat, search for GuideRecord, and change the value from 23 to 24.

memory leak. you probably have less than 16GB ram on your device, so it borrows your drive instead, temporarily.

Any idea on how to fix this? The game was working fine for me for a while, and then it started doing this.

Thanks for the guide, and to another point, after you cross the dumb glitch at the convention, do the succubus quest and get teh chaos glasses. During the Chaos mode, you can CROSS THIS without the glitch triggering.
