Does affection or corruption do anything? At this point it seems like it has no impact at all and doesn't matter in the slightest.

It's a defunct system at this point. It still applies somewhat to Diana.
Used to be you'd have to grind those stats up in order to dose them beyond certain thresholds or participate in certain sex options. Now it's basically flavor text.
This game has changed A LOT over the years. Sex scenes used to be more "interactive" (read: grindy as all hell) and there was even a planned route for if you just outright raped everybody instead of dosing them into consent.

Affection and corruption was overhauled with the last two updates. Some of Tasha's minor interactions are now gated behind those stats (It's not much, just things like teasing Tasha or giving her headpats (which is just weird imo but whatever)) and future updates will add extra interactions gated behind affection/corruption to the other NPCs as well.

Random. Just keep interacting with her Talk options and bringing her Lunch if she asks for it. Same with Weekend dates

The 'bad' endings come from the MCS-X dosing, so just do not do that. She is kinda an escort either way earlier in the story, but you never see it. When you find out, you get the option to be one also. It's not as bad as it sounds, really. Enjoy!

No it's not set in stone. The two you listed are as Zephea says, bad ends... It's a highly experimental version of the MCS serums after all.
There are other options depending on what serum path(s) you took though. That's why saving is a must when presented with options to choose from.

It's not your thing for the MC to get paid to have sex with clients entirely of your choosing, without any risk of stds or arrest?

You're right, it's much better to have the MC and Dakota being amateur porn stars together as a sideline to being paid to make mind-altering chemical cocktails to assist in human trafficking...

From what I read she's an escort pretty much no matter what at the start, so guess your locked into a bad ending from the start. unless you want share how to avoid that then it be appreciated. if not stick to what I said either route isn't my thing.

Basically, she's been doing it as soon as you start the game.

Depending on the serum choices you make she can become exclusive to the MC.

I'm not going to share anything else beyond that.
It's all been asked & answered before, so either look it up or do what I recommended and save when making serum choices.

it's a matter of perspective it's fine, me not being a fan of the routes and content isn't a big deal. I asked got an answer and move on, thank you for the replies I appreciate it.

But the story really? The player is forced to give up control to non-player characters to survive chapter 5 ...

No thanks, I'd rather not play through the story again with a different approach.

From a technical point of view, it doesn't make sense to target only one group when you can expand the story to appeal to several target groups with a little extra effort?

I mean with Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy you ask yourself with every episode can it get worse, yes it can. But if they had just let the main characters die at the end without doing a good deed, you would never watch the series again.

The current ending of Chapter 4 is meant to be a Cliffhanger. Chapter 5 will settle what actually happened but that will be the final thing Westane adds. It's by no means the actual ending of the game and in fact, The Traitor can and will change depending on the choices you made.
