I always felt that way, 2D just has more stylistic freedom. and 2D games generally tend to look more polished than 3D

my point is why settle for "decent 3D" when you can have "great 2D" with basically the same gameplay

the animation videos posted by Jashinn actually do look great(i generally don't like 3D porn but those animation posts got me interested) but the game itself so far looks decent at best, again it's still only the first build but so far it doesn't look good imo

I think when it comes to 3D this one is still pretty well made, maybe there will be some adjustments made but honestly it's pretty great so far, although I like 2D more as well but I really can't blame devs for trying something new.

People here be like rate with 5/5 3D novels with uncanny valley graphics and point and click gayplay, and yelling at anyone who praise 2D, because they treat cartoon pixel side-scrollers as not serious stuff, lmao. Im not surpised that this site fullfilled with AI slop now and the same people eat it. I dont know what even worse.

If you want 3D, there are some really cool animation. Why you want a porn game with AAA graphics, i cant get, isn't it boring af? Point of H Games in place for imagination, style and various ways for make player "controller" hard.

As for Cradle, JaShinn done not a bad work, i tought it would be worse, but it still worse than Syahata. There is few enemies in first version and you already can see how it would be difficult for him make proper and interesting animations, because models movements already are repetative. In 2D there wouldn't be such a problem. I suspect we will wait very long fot updates.

I think y'all are missing the most important part here: that regardless of if it's 2D or 3D, its only good if the artist/dev is good at working with it.

Because I'm pretty sure we've all seen shit games from both the 2D and 3D category.

Thankfully, Jashinn seems to be good with both 2D and 3D, at least in the visual department

Jashinn is an amazing developer, rather it be 2D or 3D etc etc. I've been following him for a long time now and his work never fails to impress. Be thankful that we got a dev who is dedicated to his work and does a great job. So when someone starts slandering his work, I'll speak up, among other members who feel the same. At least he listens. Hands down, one of the best devs around.

The 3d thing only looks bad because of the currently bad camera work that made the player unable to view it at its best, so of course there's a valid reason to judge the early development state, however there's no other reason to try to be so offputting against the idea of 3d since Jashinn has proven he has made some demo animations with proper angles and it's well-made albeit short.

Yeah 3d games always finish slower than 2d games, but it's not like this is literally the only game that exists, there's always a greener grass and there'll be a lot of good and bads out there as well that you can find while this one's cooking (or not, hopefully is cooking).

What's rather impressive is how generalized the 3d hate has gone so far, it not only blurs their actual reason of disliking, it gives a suspicion that the few half who only hates just to hate would've been happier to see 2d non-animated stills than 3d animations, which is to their taste tbh not worthy of judging.
