Ren'Py - Abandoned - The DeLuca Family [Season 1] [HopesGaming]

The story line is a fresh new and constructive way of creating this type of game. This game has quality rendering as well. The developer has done an excellent job and i will be looking forward to the updates and continuance to the game.

Great game! Long playtime, nice story and good graphics. Also the grind isn't boring because you dont have to make too much. I hope new updates soon! I wish there was more games like this= long playtime, not boring story, good graphics.

The DeLuca Family comes with a premise of an extense game, providing hours and hours of an enticing gameplay, flowing through a very well-constructed plot and unique characters (Luna is the best!).
Even with its slow build-up, this game is capable to keep players who just want to get some key scenes, due to a separation between 'free roam' and 'story mode', despite the grinding to gather some skills and items.
The renders are probably one of the best around, as they suit perfectly with the text, transcribing the feelings from the characters, like in the prison and the tree scenes. The tension is there.
Here is my vote for the success of this dev and this fantastic game, from which I'm for now expecting great things ahead!

The first lewd game i am more interested in the history than the scenes, i loved the possibility to play how many days i like without advancing in main plot, i hope the developer continue with this great work.

A great story and interesting game design make this a really promising game. The character models seem unique, and the renders are well done. The character and story development is really nice, with interesting stories for most of the characters, as well as some crazy/funny moments (usually to do with Luna).

If it continues on the way it's started, this will be a really great game!

Quality in every aspect of the game so far. The art is great through out the game not just in a few key parts to use in screen shots. I have not run into a single bug. Also the story and characters are some of the most enjoyable and actually compelling I have seen in a while. The amount of content in this early of a version is also a good indicator of the standards of the creator, it does not feel like a cheap cash grab like a lot of the games on here now do.

This is a great game in early development when this review is written but the rendering is good the story given at this point is good and unlike other games that are released this early it really does have 1-2 hour game time.

I downloaded this game on a whim, lacking alternatives, and having grown tired of "endless young man seduces all his relatives" creativity-bankrupt ripoffs. Within minutes I was riveted by both the story and the renders, and by the end of this first release I can honestly say its in my top 3 best first releases, and that Luna probably tops my list of favourite characters in adult games (and if the writing continues to be as good, could challenge some of my favourite characters from non-adult games as well).

The story so far has a very nice mix of mystery, craziness and heartfelt moments, the mechanics seems sound, and all the characters are interesting in their own ways. Add to that the renders of the 4 girls which are just fabulous, I predict great things from this.

I really like that you can freeroam without getting caught into main plot. Plus that it has side level system and such so seems like it has massive potentional as a great game.

The characters are unique and likable. The art looks pretty good and (least to me) doesnt seem like most characters are stock or anything you'd seen in other games here.

Pretty much at this point in time only real downside is there isn't enough of it finished yet. I want more lol but that'll come with time.

Also unless i missed some as of v0.01b there isn't much to do for "adult" content but I personally would recommend this game even if the dev never added adult content. Game seems quite solid.

Loved the game, mafia scenario is really good. Missions are great, real sense of leveling. The characters are credible and the overall scenery is good. It's a raw diamond that has a lot of potential. Definitely a game to keep an eye on.

Renders in this game are pretty good. This one has incredibly beautiful charismatic characters, and the story looks just great!

I could have explained each "pros", but it would have been just be a repetition of what everyone said before me. And like they said it way better than I could have done it, please read their reviews.
As for the "cons"... There's always at least one, right ? A review that don't have at least one "cons" is suspicious because a game can't be perfect, it always have a flaw somewhere...
Well, I'm still searching, but can't find it. There's room for improvement of course, but not because of a lack of [something]. No, here, more than improvements, what's missing are the small pencil touch that make the difference between a painting and The Joconde.
In fact, the only "cons" I see, is that I'll have to wait between each update, and don't know if it's humanly possible to do this.

Tbth, I only DL'd this game because I thought that white-haired girl wearing the half-leather/half-designer outfit looked interesting (whom I have now come to know as "Luna" or as I like to think of her "the future Mrs. [my surname]"). Lol

I honestly didn't know what to expect from this game, or rather expected to be disappointed as so many of these games use the same "rinse'n'repeat" formula...I sorely, sorely underestimated this Dev. AND for this, I apologize.

This game is nothing short of amazing! Yes, the art is what drew me in (as I'm sure it did so many others), but this is a rather unique and original story. There are some grammar missteps, but they are so easy to overlook when you look at this game as a whole. (Wouldn't mind seeing Luna's "whole".) Lol Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

The art and the renders are truly breathtaking- a lot of attention-to-detail went into making this game.

The story (at least to my knowledge) is fresh, original, and compelling.
The mechanic of being able to switch between a Story mode and an interactive/just doodling around mode is genius- and not one that I have seen in any of the other games that I have played.
The mini-games/missions are interesting, as well as inventive, and the help/drive the plot further- you're actually working towards something- there's actually a point to the "grind" rather than it just being the usual get money/get exp- upgrading and leveling up your character opens up so much more than it does in other games.
The art (renders/BG's) are fantastic.The Ladies- I like ALL of them- they are absolutely gorgeous! Cordia, Isabella, Gracie are all stunning and I like their characters and their personalities.
The characters for the "Four Serpents" (at least the ones we've met) are colorful and uniquely interesting as well. Wilfred's Elite look intimidating and formidable. This game just has such a great aesthetic.
Luna (ah, Luna) deserves a section all to herself. I liked her character model (which is why I DL'd the game to begin with), BUT absolutely, completely fell in Love with her within the first few scenes/interactions with her. Aside from being beautiful (she kinda reminds me of a grown-up "Hit-Girl", I see some Chloe Grace Moretz in her face), she is the right kind of crazy- which is fitting, considering "luna" is the root word for "lunatic". LOL There's just something about her- she's adorable, deadly, and unhinged. That's a winning combination, but I also like that we get to see her shy, reserved, damaged, vulnerable, and emotional side as well. I cannot wait to learn more about her and get closer to her as the game progresses.

This game was a pleasant surprise and caught me completely off-guard. I anxiously/eagerly cannot wait for the next update and many more in the future. Well done HopesGaming, you have created something that is truly worthy of praise and I wish you nothing but success. Bravo!

The only critique that I have for this game is...that it isn't finished. I just want to keep playing and playing it until I've married Luna, learned my mysterious link to the "Family", gone up so far in the ranks that I'm just below Cordia or become the "Fifth Serpent".

For a game that's only in the first version of release, quite a lot content available, with one very sexy and well-maid animated scene. The characters are unique, both on the artwork aspect and the psychological one. The storyplot is both funny and original, and have really great potential. The writting is also really good, with a lot of funny dialogs. I recommend it !

This game shows promise, but it has no sex in it so far and it is pretty fucking grindy. Hopefully, it will impove in the future.

Could use more girls, the boss is not very appealing personality or looks wise. I did like Isabella tho, she makes more sense of what you would expect of a famia woman, too bad she isn't even implemented in this version.

Game is very cool, the story is detailed, the characters have a lot of personality and the graphics are very nice. The game is still in the first version but have imense potential. It's hard to find a game like this.

Well what can I say , this truly is a well made game .
High quality renders and animations, nice system layout and a great story...
The progression is really good , a little bit grindy but not too much to make it unplayable .
Characters are great and has a humorous and a serious side ,the backstory of the MC is really intruiging and you just wish to learn more as fast as possible.
so in my opinion this game rates 5 stars and I really can't wait to see where this is heading .

Wow. Them feels. <3. Just... From the depth of the characters, to the feels. This just... hits home, no matter what sigil you wear, or family you from. If you have a heart, you will feel, beware of the melts, the goosebumps, and feels. I rate this NSFP(ublic)W because you just may cry, definitely.

Tip: Start the download while you read. You won't regret it.

tl;dr: "The DeLuca Family" is, as of now, a 0.1 release that seems already as fleshed out and ripe as some of the big names - and it doesn't even feature sexual content yet. Being a 0.1 means that the dev has all the time to fuck this up P), but if he keeps this quality coming and gathers some attention, this might in time land among the most popular games on F95.

And here is why:

Engine, functions and features (10/10): A Ren'Py game, but with several RPG-elements, from stats and equipment, quests, missions and henchmen to a morality and reputation system. Several features are already working and make for a very well-rounded experience (some fine-tuning to be done of course, but it's surprisingly smooth), the GUI included yet is very polished too. An interesting and innovative feature is the combination of freeroaming and main-story progression, which shows a lot of promise!

Art, style and sex (10/10, none yet): Look at the pics. Yeah. That's high-quality stuff right here. Unique (beautiful) models and skillfully crafted poses/scenes. As of now there's no sex. content yet, the dev seems to plan for the middle ground in terms of pace tho, so this might follow swiftly. I hope the models keep the quality when undressed. *cough*

Writing, story and characters (8,5/10): The tone is humorous, even a tad on the silly/bizarre side (which i like a lot) but with a hefty dose of coolness thrown in. A bit like Tarantino, but less sleazy and much more self-aware. The dialogues are decent and engaging (some 'are's are missing. By design?). The writing reflects the different characters pretty well, - they overall seem a bit clichéd, yet entertaining and memorable. The Mafia-setting is fresh and potentially dark (as some devilish secret seems to lurk there as well).

Definite recommendation.
