The dev is going to just focus on finishing his other project first, no updates or talk, just work. Then he can go fully into dog princess. Untill said project is finished no updates

Not to be political, but mods really should split threads of games that get "remake", like "Dog Princess" and "Spending Month with my Sister"
Sorry for asking, is the old "complete" version is stuck in 30 FPS? is there anyway to change it to 60 fps? can't find the setting for it.

It is impossible.
This is the actual "ceiling" for the game on the Flash engine. Even seeing 30 FPS in this game is a very big achievement, since as a rule this value is kept around 20 FPS.
This is exactly why they started to remake the game on the Unity engine, which allows to use more computer resources and give better FPS with much larger graphic elements.

You can play, but only the puzzle and the first day scene, and for a small expansion of the alpha version's functionality you need to "install" a mod from fans, they posted them in this thread.
Overall, some of the princess costumes look pretty good.

TLDR: Remember when the dev said that they wouldn't post another article until LL2.0 was ready? Well, LL's development has been postponed indefinitely, and instead the dev has recruited new staff to work on dog princess.
Not sure what to think about this really. Can't say I ever had much confidence in the dev in completing LL2.0 anytime soon but seeing this now, I've kind of lost most of my confidence in this dev in general.
Bit missleading. So i will clarify. Bit of context first, Author of Dog Princess said they wouldn't post updates untill LL project is finished, sometimes within this year, after 6 months no dice so here's the reasons.
The main author of LL is the artist, DogPrinces Dev is just the programmer of that project, issue said main author has had "a happy turning point in his life which has them extremely bussy"(prolly a parent now lmao). So that project hasn't been going smoothly and issues in its development cycle will continue, it might get banked.
DogPrincess however was started as a passion project, the reason it was also a flash game was direct inspiration from LL, but the dev figured out they could do more with Unity and thus started developing the 2.0 game. Many people showed interest in Dog princess project so he got 3 new people into the project. Originally it was so he could get more time to finish LL, but since that doesn't seem like it will happen any time soon and 2.0 Dog princess has many new features the Main dev will just continue working on DogPrincess.
Final note:In theory this hints at LL project being abandoned by the dev but its not exactly stated, maybe they haven't decided yet. Also it implies that DogPrincess will get a huge boost in development regardless of how LL continues, that said the update is mostly to clarify about the LL project, on the next update we should get an aswer
I mean, it was a short summary of the article so it was bound to miss some details but my bad if anyone did get misled reading that. Anyway, again LL is not getting worked on for the foreseeable future in exchange for focus being put on dog princess's development. This may mean the dev might finally put out something concrete sometime soon.
Still, the reason I'm cautiously optimistic is because of a quote from the article where the dev mentioned that development on LL was actually already suspended last year. Which means that aside from assembling a team for dog princess 2.0 (and I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that this was done recently), really nothing of value was accomplished in the last 6 months.
I know I am doomposting quite a bit when it comes to this dev, and I would love for the creator to make me shove my words right up my ass someday, but until that day comes, I'm inclined to believe that dog princess 2.0 will not be coming anytime soon.

Reading the comment section and the first comment I see is some whiny little bitch that definitely didn't even buy the games. Wouldn't even be a fucking mystery if the dev behind the game just abandons the project entirely with so many losers crying at them whose only hobby seems to be gooning.
It will release when it releases, check back every few months and that's it, not that hard people.

Probably cause it's been more than half a year and there's ZERO showable progress made on both games, and from their wording it was "difficult to contact the main guy in charge of LL" back in 2022-2023. So people are going to obviously question why did it take him so long to decide LL was unworkable on despite barely being able to work with Vcxz.
I'm not siding with giving the dev hate, but I can see why people are reasonably pissed if the dev said they're going to focus on a game and not have anything new to show after all this time; especially in this era of devs not fulfilling promises

You can't really get anything done if the artist and project lead is not participating, also developing in general is a complicated thing. Name me 1 project or group that followed their roadmap perfectly without any delays. People here are alergic to reading english, they sure as shit arent going to read the entire jap. updates. I feel like its important to make things clear here since a circlejerk of missinformed smoothbrains can form very quickly flooding the discussion with retarded takes like the one 3 posts above, (dude couldn't even get the name of the game right)
