i've been playing LL for 2 days now, but i keep getting a lost end lol
This game is far harder than dog princess

And i can't even get any walkthrough becaus they ban this game here
Just stop being mean to your loli, bro. It's easy. Be patient. Tokiko is a strong, independent young woman. She's not the kind of girl to give it up on the first date.

There are other sites with less rules regarding such content that have guides for that game.

The average developer abandons a game, nothing new there. Honestly, they should just shut it down now before it gets worse. All they’re doing is pushing people to the edge, almost like they’re trying to start a riot. Do I hate them? Nah. It’s just that they’re unprofessional.

I’ve seen it happen before: patch after patch, and they still don’t get it. The same thing goes for other games like Permit, Deny – Mew Games. Delays and pointless updates, it’s all the same. Now I understand why people are shifting away from these kinds of games. They suck people in, let the game die a few months later, and only then admit the real issues, classic.

I just wish they’d be honest from the start instead of making us wait for nothing. So yeah, I’m done. Leaving for good. Honestly, this game feels like a drug addiction, and it’s time to quit.

Edit: for the bottom comment

And just to be clear, I’m not only talking about LL, I’m talking about DP too. I’ve lost faith in both. Do I think they’ll pull it together and actually make it work? No. Honestly, it’d be better if they dropped all their old titles and started fresh with something new.
But they won’t. Just like the COD or Monster Hunter franchises, they’re stuck playing it safe. It’s always the same title, again and again, afraid to take risks, just trying to secure money. It’s the same playbook every big company uses: avoid risk, protect the cash flow, repeat the formula

There’s a lot I need to get off my chest. It really feels like the HappyLambBarn team has lost all motivation. It’s like they don’t even want to make this content anymore. They’ve been slowly, almost stealthily, shifting things like gradually making the boobs in DP noticeably bigger. If that’s the direction they want to go, then honestly, why not just make a new title entirely?
You can sense the team is struggling. Even bringing in a new team wouldn’t help, it would just feel off and probably even more disconnected. The original spark is gone, and now everything feels forced and hollow

I used to really love how they worked; the artwork and detail in the game were incredible. It had a strong fantasy vibe that felt unique and imaginative. But now, it’s like they’ve completely lost their identity as game developers
What made their work special is fading away, and instead of evolving, they seem to be drifting toward something shallow and generic. It’s honestly sad to see such potential go to waste

It's crazy the amount of comments in the fanbox of HLB's last post, pure LL fans criticizing and no DP fans supporting that now they can focus on making DP, it really is crazy, DP compared to LL, is more cartoonish and less realistic while LL has a realistic artistic design that makes the loli genre even more disgusting compared to the cute little princess loli puppy with anime design.

There you can see that the vast majority of HappyLambBarn (HLB) fans were mostly LL fans and a few were DP fans, it's really sad

I was never a fan of LL, wasn't my cup of tea. But I wasn't bashing on those who wanted to see it completed.

Honestly I can't blame HLB for dropping it finally as it sounds like the issues have been in the background with the hope things would straighten out. They didn't want to cut off that flow of income. Probably wasn't an easy decision as that was a route of revenue now lost, can't really do much without the artist.

I can't see it ever being brought back, with how the artist has now kids of his own. Maybe the artist now feels a bit strange drawing the content having kids of his own, couldn't say for sure though.

Not sure what's going to happen with DP. Really like the art style and work that went into it, but all the new stuff that was discussed and teased with art was essentially dropped as of a few months ago. Not really sure if that's now changed, but until he releases a more game development and actual timeline post, I'll just consider it on hiatus as well.

Not really? Depends on the artist. There's devs who can write freaky parent/child incest shit while having kids and a regular family of their own. And there's also devs who self-insert so hard (as the one being left off) that it affects their lives and have to quit making the game.

just made a new game instead of focusing on l@li content. Maybe something with a high school theme would be more acceptable. But hey, don’t just take my word for it, look at what the majority people think

zomb said:
Sometimes... it's not like I want things to drag on like this.
I truly, honestly wanted to finish everything.
When I said I wouldn't post anything until LL was complete, I genuinely believed I could stick to that at the time.
Of course I wanted things to end properly.

If I had foreseen how things would turn out,
then I would say my biggest mistake...
was not just declaring LL1.52 as:
"Yes, this is version 2.0! The game is finished! Hooray!"
I really thought vcxz and I could stay true to our original vision... I believed we could make it exactly as we first imagined.

You think I enjoy delaying things?
You think I care that much about dragging it out for a few more months just for some Ci-en donations?
Our current income has already dropped to less than 15% of what it was during LL’s first year.
It’s not about money, it’s about being stuck with LL forever and unable to freely move on to new things...
If only I could finish LL already... (bitter smile)

As for why I haven’t released the remaining content yet...
it's simply because it’s not organized well enough.
The current build is based on vcxz's wish to completely revamp everything,
and as a result, the game’s structure is now a total mess.

Even scenes that worked fine in 1.52 often don't work properly anymore.
To merge old content with the new, I'd have to relearn how the old version was written...
If DP’s Unity version is like renovating a modern city, then LL is like maintaining a crumbling historic monument.
And no, I’ve never dared to use GitHub—because I don’t trust it.
(Flash on GitHub? Seriously, lol)

Originally, I planned to spend this year wrapping everything up...
But DP is still ongoing.
I also have to manage the work with my team.
Developing the new cohabitation system engine has eaten up most of my time.
My hope was that once the visual novel engine was done, my partner could help me write new DP content.

A few years ago, I asked vcxz to help bring LL to a proper close,
but he was too busy.
So I had no choice but to start DP myself.

Ironically, now that DP is finally going well...
I can't just stop midway to go back to LL either.

Sometimes... I just want to run away from it all.

To those who want me to release the source code or assets—
I’m sorry, but I can't.

The assets belong to vcxz, and he won’t agree to it.
As for the code, I personally don’t want to release it either.
Our work has already been targeted by underground scammers looking to profit off of it.
If I publish the code, I’d only be making it easier for them.
And our game was never protected by DMCA to begin with.

As for decompiling... well, Flash is old tech.
Reverse engineering it is no longer that hard.
I won’t provide anything myself, but...
if you really want to do it,
I won’t stop you either. Do as you wish?

Maybe it really would be better...
if I just shut up, disappeared for three years,
and focused entirely on development without reading any more fan comments...

Oof. Didn't realize his income was that bad off the project, but not surprised since nothing really added has come out since. I wonder what DP's funds are looking like?

He told people to vent if they wanted/needed to, but I don't think he expected what he got fully and has taken it pretty harsh it seems.

I know the feeling of seeing something you put real effort into just crumble. Bit of a sad turnout.

He wants to finish LL but he also is happy this chapter is closed, he had "LL fatigue" for a long time now already.

He build his whole career around semi-realistic lolis, starting with albums, gif animations, finally hitting the nail on the head with LL.
He got tired of it, fans asked for more, he went with his new passion project (DP), fans still wanted more LL because of replayability value, unique artsyle and niche. They even bullied him into adding anal, which he also hated lol.

Since then it was tumbling down arc of splitting workload between two projects, mostly dilly dallying, promises, promises of remakes, going radio silent and now effectively canceling his flagship project.

I don't think he's "really" sad. He's sad because he disappointed fans but at the same time happy, because he can now move on to things he personally likes.

Don't forget that he had a magnus opum he wanted to make, a Mikan (To Love-ru) game, which is why he made LL and DP originally, as experience to make that magnus opum, however, in that timeframe :
To Love-ru seems to have fizzed out as a series,
Fans were demanding things he personally wasn't keen on (anal, and I should mention that he specifically mentioned western fans demanding this),
His own health issues, which may or may not be linked to a certain pandemic.

overall, it really doesn't surprise me that everything seems to have stalled. Heck, I can't bring myself to play Imouto Fantasy, as translating it completely killed the game for me, one of the reasons I will not be having anything to do with any translation of the monochrome remake once its out, as I want to enjoy the game once its in english.

so yeah, I really sympathize with the dev in this scenario.

Its a shame you had to give up on it like that. But have you considered working on translations (if no one else does) after you have played through the game and all it has to offer?
A lot of people including me ofc appreciate what you did for us who cant play without english translation. I cant thank you enough for the work you did and for the sacrifice you made in the process.
I only hope there will be someone who will provide us with english version. Maybe we even get official one on release? Who knows.

It sounds like you think the author of LL and the Author of DP are the same person. I don't particularly care for LL, and the author of DP is the one that wants to make the mikan game in the future so good that he can focus on their own projects
