I kind of think that's part of the problem. I enjoy NTR games (I'm single), I also enjoy female protag games and watching lesbian porn (I'm male), furry games (I'm human), and whatever else is uploaded that has decent artwork/story/dialogue.At least for me, I enjoy the NTR fantasy because I find it hot seeing my gf/wife fucking someone else.
The problem seems to be that people don't seem willing to separate themselves as the player, from the character's POV the game is made in. I saw the same thing back in the 90's with MMO's, people got all up in arms when they found out the person playing a female character in EQ2/WoW was actually a male. Like no shit, it's not my avatar, it's just a character.
If I'm playing something like Summertime Saga, I'm watching a VN about a virgin who bangs his mom and sister. It's not me, the player, it's the character in the game that's doing those things. The only difference between it and something like Game of Thrones is that I to some extent have control over the character's actions.
It's the same with NTR. If the wife/girlfriend is hot, I want to see her getting banged. I don't care if it's the male protag, her co-worker, or the San Francisco 49ers. It's not my wife/girlfriend, it's just a character in a story.
The fact that people get so upset about it just strikes me as some sort of mental imbalance.
