Ren'Py - The Fixer [v0.3.3.21] [Sam_Tail]

Great game, has lots of items so you won't get bored with the same look which is amazing!

Game is pretty much straight forward, not sure if there's things you "cannot" do or that might change some outcome.

The game though as some issues with slowing down sometimes, I'd assume more scene cuts are needed or something to work it out.

All in all i'd give this one 5/5 its a great game (not completed) but looks promising, saw few spelling errors but nothing out of the ordinary.

Great storytelling, great artwork, and plenty of content. The complexity of the narrative is impressive. The overall narrative is about as linear as most VNs, but the details are incredibly intricate. Your stats, your past actions, and your moment-to-moment choices have a big effect on how each event can play out.

I normally wait further in development before reviewing a title but considering the amount of content already here I think I can safely review this game already. Dev has continued to update it and progress seems good so hopefully the game will be one of those rare quality gems that are not just an amazing game feature and content wise but actually get finished as well.

In any case, in terms of the content there now as of v0.2.32, single playthrough wise there is a at least 6 hours of content here already and that's only if you do cheat your way a bit and really go forward through it quickly.

I say single play through as the game has a lot of alternatives to the content and scenes, so the first sex scene you get from the main storyline for example has you extracting information from a guy in a bar. Not only are there multiple choices to try here with even setup for future events, the way the choices play out varies a lot based on your character's stats. So far I've found 5 different variations of this one scene and there may even be more I've not found yet.

That is just that scene, but each storyline sequence in the game so far has this degree of variety to it. Some scenes are also affected by choices already earlier in the game so the game already has a high degree of replayability despite still being early in development and as more content gets added it will just get exponentially bigger due to the roll-on consequences of choices and replay value offered from all the scene and storyline varieties.

I always look forward to updates from The Fixer! Keep up the great work Sam_Tail as this game definitely has potential to be among the greats on F95 and people should definitely be willing to support the development of this quality game.

The graphics of this game are very mediocre if we compare them with many of the forum games,the story is inconsistent, many pointless details and a lot of time with her clothes,what i did not like is the pregnancies, what is their meaning in an adult porn game?
is not a family simulation game,having sex with strangers at the bar while you are pregnant is the worst you can see.and the child after birth what will happen? will it disappear or will it enter the protagonist's life as a new character in the game?
could this toy be very good if it were a classic corruption game of a young girl and not a silly girl who does not take basic sex precautions, something that all educated girls know.
There could at least be an option before you play the game if you want pregnancy,breastfeeding or zoophilia or any weird fetish.

Like the idea and i think there might be some potential, but in short, i got bored after 3 mins when i realized how much stuff you must to do before you see some hentai pics made with paint.

If we go back in time 3-5 years, this might be ok, or even good adult game, but not with todays standards.

One of the best female corruption sandbox games I've ever played with an actually interesting and fun plot.

Really excited to see what coming updates will bring to this game, it has so much potential.

Alright, so I've played The Fixer a bunch of hours and it's time for a review.

I will start out by saying that I really like this game. The drawing is nice, it has customization with clothes and the stuff you do actually have an impact on the character. For instance regularly running and swimming will improve your physique and the way you look. It kinda reminds me a bit of Degrees of Lewdity, but in a Ren'Py format. That too is really nice.

I also find the game refreshing when it comes to adult games. It doesn't have some of the ridiculous tropes that a lot of Adult games keeps repeating. For instance, you do have a sister, but there is thankfully no incest in this game.
I also appreciate the fact that you can actually take a step outside the door without constantly getting harrased. Most adult game you basically just have to walk the street for somebody to try and take advantage of you. But not in this game, and I like it. It also means H-scenes becomes more exciting as they don't constantly happen. With that said, though, I think it could use some more H-scenes and opportunities for it.

There are also currently many places which doesn't have any content to it yet. That includes the lake, truckstop, underpass and so on. Those that do have content could also use some more of it. For instance have more than just one bar at revel street and also add a library to study in at school.

I like the story as well. While it isn't too original it still works decent enough as a background to the world you inhabit. The friends at school also comments on the things they experience, which adds a layer to the world. Though, it would be interesting to have more interactions with various people

For those that want the short(er) reading:
The Good:

• The art is really nice.
• Very customizable both in terms of skin color, hair style and clothing.
• You aren't constantly harassed which helps to make H-scenes more interesting.
• Various things to do and nice little sub-stories to it. Such as taking a run and decide if you want to talk to some lecherous dude etc.
• Your actions, like running, have tangible and visible effects.
• The story is fine.
• You run the risk of pregnancy with unprotected sex, which is really nice.

The In-between

• It would be really nice if you could save more than one every-day/school/night/training/home outfit so that you got to use more of the clothing options.
  • By extesion, more clothing options in general - especially blouses that cover your belly would be nice.
• Many of the scenes are currently not used. For instance it would be cool to ice-skate at the lake in winter or take a swim in summer.
  • It would be also be cool to attend competitions, but that would require specific running/swimming/etc skills and not just a general physique.
• Some of the sub events are really nice, but they could be explored some more and add interesting events to them.

The Bad

• The game could use more things to do. I found that got to repeting, and essentially grinding, many tasks.
• The difficulty could be a bit tougher. I were able to manage school, training and working at the club at night. It's nice, but I'd like to see a choice between them. For instance you go to school, train hard but be too tired for work or either of the combinations, just not all 3.
• While I love that you aren't constantly harassed like in so many other games, I'd still like to see maybe a bit more than what is currently in the game. Or at least just some proposals for doing some stuff. Like the shy guy's friend in the park - allow me the decision to go and say hi.

In conclusion, I decided to give this game 4 stars. I'm very close to giving it 5, but I think it needs more content for that to be fair.

By far the best game available on this website. Ive played hundreds of game on f95 over the past years. Most are okay-ish and I play for an hour or two and move on.

The ability to customize your outfit, your character and having a decent story makes this game amazing. I love having the female protagonist and can't wait to see where this game is going to go. Im hoping to continuing seeing frequent updates and if that's the case, I see this one going far. Definitely A+

I absolutely love this concept and hope this game takes off! I recently discovered Degrees of Lewdity and I thought it was an amazing concept to be a cute girl running around a savage town using your skills and smarts avoid getting raped, the absolute thrill of keeping your purity and sanity intact. It's great seeing a completely visual representation of that gritty gameplay. I very much look forward to future updates. (One update of which I hope to see soon is nipple colors, it's a bit offputting seeing brown nipples on pale white skin and not pink)

The Fixer takes the Ren'Py engine and life sim visual novel genre to a whole new level. Implementing elements such as character creation (with colourable clothes!) and putting much effort into creating a deep and believable world. While still in very early development, The Fixer shows immense promise. Additionally, it aims to avoid setting the player out on a completely linear story line, and allows you to have some say in how your character faces the world. I say aims, as this is only present in some situations.

While the game comes with a wide variety of locations, not all of these have been fully implemented yet and some locations come without interaction at all (except admiring the beautiful artwork. Hands down, those are immensely well done).

As mentioned above, the game shows immense promise, with plenty of opportunities to continue creating a living, believable world with interesting locations, deep characters and of course those x-rated moments we might find ourselves in along the way

I played what it has to offer and i love every part of it i have a bit of a haramase thing and not only does this game have the natural consequence of unprotected sex it also offers a great selection of customization as well as a planned use of said customization lookin forward to it

A female protagonist game focused on pregnancy but doesnt force you to ever be pregnant, with a ton of customization options and a protagonist who can actually make choices and defend herself while still at times being robbed of that abilitey and ALSO ITS A LIFE SIM. this is literally all i want from a game ever. Very excited to see where it goes and how it updates.

I must say I was really impressed by the intricacy of the game: different paths, different dialogues depending on scenes outcome, detailed dress system (didn't even think it was possible on that scale in Renpy), character stats, school&job&agent activities, finally an author not afraid of bad\dark\dramatic things happening in the game.. this is what I'd call a GOOD FUCKING JOB.
I'm waiting for the female start to be really engaged, but I can safely say this is a developer worth supporting

a plot which is okay - story is logical - visuals are nice - game does not crash (so far) / all in all a very promising start. 5 stars because I have seen worse here at f95 which also got 5 stars - and this is not just about style and visuals. The developer really shows a promising start and that is why I believe he earned a 5 star rating.

Writing's very good. I had a bit of a stumble because I'm personally not a fan of the setting being TOO near contemporary reality, but that's mitigated by a) not beating me over the head with it, b) actually meaning something to the plot and c) not being preachy about the politics. Characterization is weak at the moment but that's arguably correct for a sandbox and for early versions especially. I did note some inconsistencies with behavior options; you can go commando right off the bat but have to work yourself up to going braless; you shy away from consentual sex with an NPC the PC finds attractive but can be put in a situation where you give your virginity to a rando in a pub in full public view.

The porn I got was good. I see rape tagged and definitely do not care for such, but I never had to deal with it so I'm not bitching about it here. That implies it's avoidable with careful play and I hope that continues to be the case.

TLDR: I like this on a porn and technical level and wish ya godspeed~

This game looks pretty good so far. The time system, clothing system, jobs, locations, and personal care system (the bar at the top of the screen in-game) work well too. The only thing that bothered me was the spelling & grammar mistakes, but that's just me noticing small details in the text.
Edit: I went back to the comments and noticed the updated version 2.4. I was playing version 2.1.4 when I noticed the spelling/grammar mistakes.

I think this game has the potential pretty good. Right now it is pretty barebones with only a few locations and h-scenes but all-in-all it has the potential to be something great. You start off in the prologue, with your sister and it goes over some plot relevant stuff but after that you're left to your own devices and can advance the story. Currently the story stops after a few missions but I definitely love this concept.

Came not expecting much but found gold!

This game even on early stage show so much potential and even on version 0.2.0 gives you around 1 hour of gameplay.

The pros:

You can select every piece of clothe the MC wears (from bra, shirt, skirt, etc..) and there is also a show with more clothing options.

It has a good degree of realism (wanna get thinner? time to run in the park or school) also if you dont shower you get smelly so its a nice plus to have this.

Character desing and art is great (I cant believe it uses koikatsu at its core but its made on a way that the caracters look beatiful)

Virgin protagonist (a big plus for ppl like me who enjoy female main characters) so you can keep it or loose it (even on this early stages there are sex scenes)

Custom made character, once you play for a while you unlock the option to change hair, eyes, pubic hair, hair color.

If you move the cursor over her boobs, vagina or gace you will see different animations (only very few games has this nice detail)

Clothing descriptions, all clothes has a description and even when you dont where some has a description and its a really nice touch. Overall this game feels made with love and care.

Cons:

Few bugs here and there but nothing that makes the game unplayable, must of the bugs you can just "ignore" the message that shows and it will be ok.

Overal a solid 9 of 10, if the game gets rid of the bugs ill give it a 10/10.

Going to keep an eye on this game since I love it!


Edit: The developer seem to be really active fixing bugs, the current version is now 0.2.4, you can find it on page 3, but must likely he will keep updating and bugfixing everything, so just look for his comments if you still find version 0.2.0 on the main page.

To me, this game seems to have huge potential. And the level of polish is impressive as well. Whether you enjoy it will come down to some preference. I can see the time management being overwhelming for people who don't like that play style--balancing hunger, tiredness, etc.

I recommend the creator make an easy mode. Also, for me personally, I would much prefer to have an easy one-click travel system that immediately takes me to where I need to be next in the story or with the daily tasks like school. Similarly, getting dressed, bathing, eating, etc, every morning with extra clicks quickly becomes tedious. So having the character automatically do some part of the routine, which you can later adjust, would help a ton.

On the other hand, maybe the creator is just making this for the type of audience who enjoys micromanaging. Which is fine, if they are just going for a narrow niche audience. Either way, I will be keeping an eye on this game and retrying it every few updates to see how it develops. Again, huge potential. I recommend other reviewers show creators love for putting this kind of effort into anything.
