Don't worry, it's not abandoned, I recently got a new job so I'm a bit swamped with it but still spend a couple of hours every week to progressing this game, next update probably over 2 weeks

Hey everyone,
I wanted to give you an update on The Forest. After a lot of thinking, I’ve decided to stop development on it. I made too many mistakes early on, especially with planning and the screen logic, it’s become a bit of a mess behind the scenes.


That said, this isn’t the end. I’m starting a new project, something smaller, more focused, and most importantly, something I will finish. It’ll still carry some of the same themes as The Forest, just with a tighter scope and better structure from the start.

So I understand you've moved on to other projects, but if any of us still want to check out this one, why does it seem that the game version that's currently uploaded seems to end after you pick up the ring in the Crystalline pond and defeat the goblins? I can see all the art and assets are in the folders, but the game just seems to terminate there without any of the latest content you added. Is this intentional? Are there ways to get past that point?

Can you share a screenshot? You shouldn't be able to get stuck in your inventory
