When you see an NLT Media game, you can count on it that they will get it through to the end with frequent updates.
I have a mixed feelings about their games, but nevertheless, played every one of them because I really like the general world building, story and how each game expands on it.
You can notice from game to game how they level up their production value and animated story cut scenes. Specifically in this game, without spoiling, the fighting cut scenes are really nice for an h-game (sad to say it that our expectations are so low that when we see something like this we are excited). But even though it seems like the story cut scenes were improved, the h-scenes pretty much stayed the same or some minor improvement can be seen.
I don't even need to talk about the quality of the characters and visuals. They look really good and appealing.
Now for some less good but important points.
I still don't understand why these angelcraft puzzles exists. They are just sketchy and annoying. I'm not sure who is enjoying it. Though the amount of them reduced.
I didn't really like the MC this game, he was a real arrogant cocky dude - but that's only me..
I'm also conflicted about the hint systems in games. On the one hand, they are good for cases where you are really stuck and it saved me from getting out of the game and looking in the forums for how to proceed. On the other hand, at some point I just get frustrated at exploring many of the same maps just to find some item that appeared somewhere that I need for progressing the game.
So my game transformed to following the walkthrough instead of playing.
And the biggest pain in the ass of these games are their length compared to the content provided. The game is very long, it takes about 30+ hours to complete. Be certain that after hundreds of h-scenes you've seen them all and they are not interesting anymore, the juice of the game has ended and the game should've ended with it too, but no, you will go additional 10+ hours
Overall, I still recommend playing NLT Media games.
