VN - Ren'Py - Completed - The Goblin's Brides [v1.0] [TrustyOldPatches]

Writing switches back and forth between alright and terrible, goblin visual is really the perk here and no animations. You could do some really creative stuff with this setup but the plot turns lazy for the sake of a short game. A pity, but female MC and goblin got enough dynamics for some sexual moments, I guess.

It gives you what it's advertising:goblin sex. While the renders are really good(shoutout to the redhead), the sex scenes fall flat. Not many choices except do you want this hottie to get more into goblin sex?, middling plot that doesn't really interest you, and the girls fall into depravity too easily. The goblin is surprisingly well behaved.
Add an extra star if you'rea fan of female protagonist games.

I don't usually review games. But this one got my attention.

Awesome art, interesting story and attention to detail. Not what you expect from a goblin game.

I like the twist about playing as a female MC too.

A good game with excellent models, and just about enough of a story to keep you wanting to know what is going to happen next.

The dev desperately needs the assistance of a native English speaker with access to a dictionary. Spelling and grammar is really sub-standard.

I've been following this game for a while and as it has kept a high level of quality, it is about time I rate it.

The game is an interesting story in a fantasy setting where you play a female character mostly. I say mostly because at times you also control certain choices that would be someone else's. And it works really well.
One of the main theme here is the sex with the ugly goblin, however I must say that although this would normally drive me away, here it doesn't. And the reason is the girls models are absolutely making up for it, for me at least.
There are four main girls to have sex with, and although there are two I like more, they all are good looking and sexy. The scenes are well done so far, and include a lot of creampie as well as menage a trois. All in all a pretty good variety, always with renders of high quality.

One issue has been backward compatibility before, when saves would be broken by an update, but as the game moves forward this will become less and less of an issue. And the developer is very active in the forum and fixing bug, plus they have a good ethos that makes them worth encouraging.

In conclusion, a very enjoyable game that is promising even better things in the future (can't wait for the sequel with Isabella).

- Sound effects get a bit annoying, if only because they're always the same and scenes are frequent enough that the sounds become too repetitive

One of the best straight to the point VN I've played. I like the dialogues and relationship between the characters (they are actually liking each others rather than the usual blackmail bs), the renders, no bullshit grindy "gameplay" loop. Everything is well done.

Almost all of the things I like about it seem rare or uncommon:

• Natural-looking female body hair is presented as completely normal, not even mentioned in-game.
• World seems mostly chill about nudity and sex, but not ridiculously sex-crazed or anything.
• People having sex not minding the audience, but it's not anyone's fetish or anything.
• Characters forced into sex by outside forces which don't participate themselves.
• Corruption by pheromones, but maybe unintentional (it's still ambiguous at this point in the story).
• Impregnation and pregnancy.
• The goblin is horny and a bit annoying to women about it, but doesn't seem to be forceful or want anything without consent. Doesn't seem to mind influencing women through pheromones, but like I said it may be unintentional. Other than that, he seems to be a genuinely helpful and well-meaning dude.

There's a few choices to make along the way to keep it feeling like a game, but not so many that development will stall because of a combinatorial explosion. I prefer it that way, but it may be a negative for people who like more of a sandbox design.

The renders themselves are good enough, but don't expect Pixar-level funding (see the screenshots). The story is not exactly heavy so there's not too much reading getting in the way, but it makes things interesting and keeps you coming back for more.

I actually like this game! I liked Yharnam a lot cause she's a good balance of cute and sexy and pretty at all the same time. Game isnt grindy at all and has different paths as well, and its all my type of game.

The game is not that long at the moment, but i liked what i played through. The story premise is ok. The picture quality is nice. I like the character designs. It has decent sound effects, so you should probably wear headphones, when you play.

At first, I thought this would be a short throwaway game with a gimmick. Boy was I surprised how much more it is than that. The renders are good, the goblin is actually a developed character with a personality who cares for the girls. Instead of having the goblin be some stereotypical rapey creature, the dev actually turns him into a somewhat romantic character. I would love to see a romance or marriage path between the goblin and the main female protagonist.

The only issues I have so far are some grammatical and spelling errors, but other than that everything was great. This game is way more interesting than I initially thought and will definitely follow it from now on.

this would be a solid 4* if the goblin didnt have a micro penis! so disappointing! i dont like how the goblin is a perv right off the bat. the setting is great and this game gets points for being different and not following a trend. renders are okay...

Absolutely amazing game, straight to the point, lots of quality scenes and variations. Interesting to see this dynamic with a girl being the MC in a harem game.

I won't say cons, but actually a tip:
Although I love a goblin MC, it would also be interesting to see other monsters in some scenes, for example, that ogre that appeared at the end of the current update. That would make the game even more awesome.

You don't need a walktrough to play, so the choices is based on the scenes you want to see.

There is also no animations or too many changes in facial expressions in the renders, so that the dev is more worried in making content rather than some useless complexities.

The lewd scenes are amazing, and i love how the dev gave special attention to the kissing scenes.

Goblin games are awesome, one of my favorite genres,but this one brought some thing unexpected, you play as a female. I normally don't like a female protagonist, but in this game i liked it even more than if i was playing as the goblin.

I just hope the dev keep this game simple. Some games are only worried in bringing wonderful renders, too many choices, mini-games, sand-box mode and many resources only to make it harder to develop, produce way less content and become a boring game. Simple games are the best.

I would like to see the female protagonist gaining more special treatment as well as playing a major part in "corrupting" other girls or even other married women for the goblin.

TL;DR: If you like goblin games, you should give it a try.

Really liked it , was really skeptical about the whole goblin thing , the female protagonist got to me . Gave it a go , absolutely fantastic , although I'm a bit disappointed about how short the game is at this point

The MC, Yharnam, is one of the prettiest characters I've encountered in these kinds of games, and her three fellow "brides" are beautiful, too. Nax is, well, a goblin. The plot is slim, but makes sense and is well-crafted to support the lewd stuff that is happening. We get to see action quickly, but its not rushed.

The relationship dynamics are an unusual but very sweet mix of romance and corruption. It feels that the game is treating its characters with respect (which I enjoy, no fan of humiliation) and manages to make Yharnam fuck a goblin multiple times without disparaging her for it, and without fully taking away her agency either.

To summarize, if you want to see beautiful women fucking a goblin without being humiliated for it, this is where your wish gets fulfilled.

Wow, this game was a lot of fun... I was wondering about the high reviews based on the premise, but they're spot on.

This is everything a porn game should be to me- a bare bones plot that serves to move the sex scenes along, right to the action, the choices you make change the scenes in obvious ways that make sense based on your choices.

It's also surprisingly hot, the sex scenes were teased and actually delivered right away instead of those games that drag on for years and leave you hoping you may someday see the sex scene you anticipate.

I wish more developers would take a lesson or two from this game- the pacing is perfect, there aren't 10 extra characters and weird map mechanics to navigate, and no wasted time.

A very promising game. There's not much content as for now but the story and the renders are really good. I hope the dev will continue working on this game.

Not much content yet, I finished it in like 20 min but still, it's enough to make you eager for the next update.

The most amazing thing about this game is a great start with a bang (if you know what I mean )... You don't need to play 100 hours before getting a sex scene.

I always like mythological type of stories and there isn't a lot of games out there which are as good as this one.

Immense potential, from the animations, to the world building, to the choices you make actually mattering, it's got everything it needs, all it needs is more content, which I'm hopeful will come with time
